Although I do love writing, reading is my biggest passion, which is why my favorite stories list is so ridiculously long. I will get around to writing more stories, but it'll take some time, because I keep changing my mind as to whether or not I like my ideas. On Shipping:

I mostly support canon couples, because I tend to look on 'who he/she likes' as part of their character. There are a few exceptions, but almost never for the main characters. I'm usually pretty open to pairings with characters that aren't in any couple canonically.

My favorite couple is Shinichi/Ran, from Detective Conan. I also really like Mitsuki/Takuto (FMWS), Rosette/Chrono (CC), Ed/Winry (FMA), Link/Zelda (LoZ), Danny/Sam (DP), Raven/Beast Boy (TT), and Kim/Ron (KP).

What Not to Do in Fanfiction, according to me (who has read far more than a person probably should):

Repetitive terrible grammer, spelling, punctuation, etc. My own grammar isn't perfect, but come on, some things are just obvious. Is it so hard to grasp the fact that for every new speaker, there's a new paragraph?

Author's Notes in the middle of the story. One or two is okay, but any more than that is just annoying, unless they're there to help you understand something without interrupting the flow of the story too much. Still, what you want to say as yourself can usually go at the beginning or end of the chapter.

Making the actual characters into Mary-Sues. Complete with tragic pasts (non-canon or exaggerated canon) and random totally hardcore personalities. Um...what happened to the character we know and love?

An OC being the center of the story. Even if it is the most perfectly crafted non-Mary Sue ever, I read fanfiction to read about the characters I already know.

Character Bashing. This is what irks me like nothing else. If you don't like a character, fine, I don't really like some of them either. But at least respect them as being a real person in that world. When you begin bashing them, it either disrupts the flow of the story, or it lends itself to major OOC-ness. By the way, just because you hate them doesn't mean that the characters around them will suddenly "realize that he/she is really an annoying person and they never really liked him/her in the first place."

Fangirling, or the male equivalent, in the middle of the story. It's just as bad as the character bashing. It's just plain irritating to read A/N's about you drooling over the hot male/female characters while what the readers want is to get on with the plot, although this isn't such a bad thing in the Author's Notes at the beginning or end of the chapter. And please, please try to refrain from describing the characters as sex gods when in a third-person point of view. It's okay once in awhile, but mostly it's just kind of awkward.

Fics with very long paragraphs. This is probably just me, but it does make me lose my focus.

Top Ten Reasons Why Gay Marriage Is Wrong:

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behaviour. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Brittany Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.

7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.

9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

Random Thoughts and Comments: For the most part, I liked New Moon. But Robert Pattinson was such a brick wall that I felt sorry for the other actors. I also could not see any reason for Bella to choose Edward over Jacob. I wish they would stop making it look like Pattinson was modeling in a commercial, and have him act instead.
