Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells and cockle shells
And pretty maids all in a row!
My name's Mary and I love random facts! Did you know the Mary Mary Quite Contrary rhyme is about Mary Tudor, or Bloody Mary? The garden referred to graveyards that grew with the people she killed. Silver bells were thumb screws used to crush thumbs between two hard surfaces and the maids represented guillotines, which were called Maidens.
I always loved the poem because my name is Mary, then I learned what it really meant! So, I thought I'd share it with you. (Did you know Ring Around the Rosie is about the black plague?)
I am fifteen years old and I am a sophomore. I love any kind of CSI or Law and Order type show, and I also like Supernatural and my cartoons, Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons, Futurama, etc. Nickelodeon is my guilty pleasure, along with one or two Disney shows (Shh, don't tell!). I have brown hair and green eyes, and everyone makes fun of me for being short (I'm barely over five foot!)
My Story (More possibly coming soon...)-
Blood Brothers- Dean makes a mistake on a hunt, and his father and brother suffer because of it. When John is hurt and Sam is seriously injured, Dean takes dangerous measures to ensure that he does not screw up again. Contains some graphic imagery and language.
Much love,
QuiteContrary
