Author has written 26 stories for Doctor Who, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, and Angel.

Greetings!

I'm never sure what to put in these bio-thingys, so don't expect too much organization! Basics: I mostly write fics for Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Doctor Who, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and most recently, Supernatural. If you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear from you! I try not to beg for reviews, but that doesn't mean I don't love them! And now, on to the detailed stuff that you are under absolutely no obligation to read:

AUG. 2012 Update: The amazing artwork for my story "The Lonely City" can be found here: http://dollarformyname.livejournal.com/56030.html

More links: If you're a Dr. Horrible fan (and we need more! Where did everyone go?), you might be interested in the following LiveJournal groups--

Horrible Fic The Dr. Horrible fanfiction community. There's a little overlap, but not too much, and there's some really good stories there. As a warning, there are a lot more NC-17 and R rated stories, but they're all clearly marked.

The Horrible Awards The best in Dr. Horrible fanworks. They held a series of awards a few years ago for best stories, fan art, videos, and more. All of the nominees in the fanfiction categories where outstanding. The fan art's fun too.

For Doctor Who fans:

Crafty TARDIS Every Doctor Who craft you knew you wanted to see but hadn't realized it yet. Plus, there's patterns! My favorite's the knitted Dalek plushy. It can also be converted to a neat hat!

About me:

I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest on a small farm with a large number of animals named after book and TV characters. I'm a college student majoring in psychology who's still trying to figure out what I'm doing with my life. In the meantime, I write, knit, and work on cosplay. I have two spinning wheels and a dog named Pippin (see icon!), not to mention a rather large collection of the BBC Eighth Doctor novels and too much yarn.

About my stories:

He Never Asked Again--My first published Doctor Who story on this site, which makes me kind of proud of it. I'll admit that I loved the 1996 Telemovie. What's not to love? It had unintentionally hilarious lines "He's like the son I never knew I wanted!", gorgeous sets, and a Doctor who wasn't that bad to look at either. Yes, it was silly, had plot holes large enough to drive mobile homes through, the Daleks sounded really weird, and fans have been trying to disprove it ever since it came out, but it's fun. It's pretty, it's funny, and it mentions the Russian River, which I grew up next to. Of course, this has now denigrated to my rant about the Telemovie, and isn't about the fic at all, but I'm getting to that. As I said in the author's note, I loved the comparisons between Grace and Donna. They're the only two companions (does Grace count as a companion though? Doctor Who Magazine lists her as one, so it must be so!) who could turn the Doctor down. Plus, they seemed like characters who would bounce well off each other.

Montage-- Called that for lack of a better name. More creative/useful names can be sent in on a postcard! Anyway, these where my first attempts at writing drabbles, and my first use of prompts. I wrote down six character names, numbered them, and rolled a pair of dice to select which characters would be in each fic. Then I stuck a pin in a dictionary to find a prompt. That prompt became the individual title for each fic. So that's what it means when it says 'randomly generated' in the summary. Feel free to include a more intelligent summary on the same postcard as the title! I loved writing these, and wrote all of them over about two days, but I haven't had a chance to write anymore since. While it's officially still a WIP, the chances of it being updated are slim at this point; I just left it open in case I was to write more at some point.

No Happy Ending-- I've been trying to write epic multi-chapters for Doctor Who for ages, but they never seem to work. So far, I would say that "No Happy Ending" is definitely working. I'm almost finished writing it, and I suppose this would be a good place to express my eternal gratitude to HyperCaz, who beta'd this story. Um, the idea at first was that I wanted to do something post-apocalyptic and grim. The beginning is pretty much unchanged-- Dr. Horrible killing Captain Hammer, and Penny surviving, but in my original plan Penny was going to almost be Martha in "Last of the Time Lords", the only one who knew what was really going on in a world ruled by Dr. Horrible, traveling the world trying to defeat him. Yeah. Regardless, I'm very happy with it now. Hopefully there's still a few plot twists to come! Now completed.

All That Remains-- I love the Billy/Penny ship partly because it's so versatile. At its best, it's a sweet romance between a shy, geeky guy and a caring, sympathetic girl. At it's worst-- well, it doesn't end happily for anybody. I really had fun with this because usually dark Billy/Penny stories go in the direction of down-and-out evil/crazy Dr. Horrible, and victimized, controlled Penny, and while this might be a bit more in-character, it's kind of nice to go the other way, and have Penny get her revenge. Penny deserves to go evil and crazy too!

Ghost Hour-- An odd little thing that I wrote while procrastinating writing "No Happy Ending". Not quite sure where it came from, if it's AU, or what the circumstances were that lead up to it. Still, I was pretty happy with it.

10_titles challenge: (June 2010) I just joined the 10_titles challenge on LiveJournal. How it works is you pick a table of ten story titles, and write a fic based on each one. I claimed the character of Dr. Horrible/Billy, so they'll all be about him. The link to my table is on my LiveJournal (see link at top of page) if you want to see what I have left. So far they include--

Counting Thoughts

The Elephant in the Room

When You Came To Stay

What Would You Change?

Dean Men Don't Drive Station Wagons

spn_50states challenge: (December 2011) The Dark and Winding Road--This fic really tempted my to try and set more stories locally. I only live a couple hours south of Cannon Beach, where this was set, and getting to take a nice little research-based field trip to the beach was awesome! The legend of the Bandage Man is real--while the circumstance of the story are different between versions, the central figure of the rotting mummy is the one constant. Apparently, he also likes to eat dogs.

comment_fic:If you don't know, comment_fic is a community over on LiveJournal where daily themes are posted, and then people leave prompts in the comments. It's a great place to get inspiration, and since comment fics are generally fairly short, it can be nice way to break back into writing if you've been stuck. Check it out!

All I want is here and now-- Sam/Gabriel is a pairing I discovered even before I knew who Gabriel was. I'm kind of surprised by how a ship with so little screentime made it so big, but I'm not complaining. I'm planning on writing more, longer, fic for this paring, but other stuff keeps getting in the way. Someday...

Relics-- In connection to the above, I'm not a shipper. At least, I wasn't before SPN. Now, I ship, hard, and Dean/Castiel is my OTP. So, basically, this fic was just me trying to deal with the rampant and conflicting emotions brought on by "The Born Again Identity."

Just listen to the music (and forget that you're in Hell) Purgatory fic is fun, and I wrote a sex scene. Enough said.
