Quote of the Week:

"My mom says it won't last."

"Your mom's an alcholic."

- The flower girl and grandmother in In and Out. It's an absolutely hilarious movie, and I recommend that you all watch it. It has Kevin Kline and Joan Cussack, and was directed by Frank Oz. It's brilliant.

Other Quotes:

"Well, here's the good news. You don't have a tumor."

"What's the bad news?"

"That thing we saw in the scan was actually an extra organ."

"What kind of organ?! What does it do?!"

"It emits a constant stream of crack cocaine into your body. We will call it a crack organ."

'You need slash therapy! Quick, to the Snarrymobile!'

'Girl, if you don't snap out of this funk you're in, I'll... I'll... I'll tie you to a chair and force you to read some horribly graphic ADSS fanic!'

-Me to my friend when I was reviewing some of her depressing poetry (She's LutheranChick on fictionpress, if any of you wanted to know.)

'If you guys hit me with that thing, I will string you up from the ceiling by your knees and feed you to a goat. And I have a goat!'

-I said it during math class, when two guys were fighting over a meter-stick dangerously close to my head.

'I swear, it's a sentient being! Listen to what it has to say!'

-My friend (talking about the armature on our homemade motor)

'I will pass the eypatch to myself and remember why I am thankful to have been touched.'

-My friend (The same one who believed that the armature was delivering a message from the FSM See my story 'Touched by His Noodly Appendage' for info on what the FSM is.)

'See what you've done! You're bringing the plagues upon us!'

-A guy in my class to me after we got a foot of snow near the end of April. (I'm and Ecclectic Witch, he's Christian. It's a volatile combination.)

'He must be like Putin!'

-The Putin music video. If you haven't seen it, go find it on YouTube. Now. I gaurantee, it will be the funniest thing you have seen in your life. Just search 'Vladimir Putin (English Version)'. Yes, this is talking about Putin, the leader of Russia.

'Life is a comedy for those who think... And a tragedy for those who feel.'

-Horace Walpole

Best Quote Ever:

Harry smirked. “I’m not a Slytherin, I’m the Dark Lady.”

Harry (Duh) from 'Abandon' by Batsutousai (It's got HPLV romance, for those of you who don't know.)

I Am

I don't usually post these sorts of things, but when you see something that is so relatable, so entirely you, you need to pass it on and tell the world everything you've wanted to say when someone bullied you, gave you strange looks, or laughed at you. What you wanted to say when you lost a friend because you were too "wierd", or even alienated family members because you are who you are.

I am the girl that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal. I am the girl that people call weird and a freak either behind my back or to my face. I am the girl that doesn't spend all her time on MySpace, or talking to a girlfriend on a cell phone or regular phone. I am the girl that hasn't been asked out in a year. I am the girl that has stopped to smell the flowers and jump and splash in the rain.

BUT I am also the girl who knows and is proud to be who she is, doesn’t care if people call her weird (it's a compliment), who loves reading and writing and doing the things that no one seems to have the time to do any more, who loves and is obsessed with Twilight, who can express herself better with words than actions, who doesn't need a guy to complete her, and knows the importance of the little things.

Copy and paste this onto your account, and add your name to the list, if you are anything like me, so the girls who are different and unique can know in their weakest time that they are unique but not alone: Iheartjake, TeamJacob101, Boysareadrag, The Dawn Is Breaking, ReganBaxter, Criminally Insane Hermit.

Stuff About Me

I've decided to let you guys know a little bit about me. (Because I'm lame and Cyber me is way cooler then real-life me.)

Nicknames: CIH, Crim

Likes: Reviews, reading, writing, Art, the Solving Equations and Using Logic units in Math (Don't look at me like that!), HARRY POTTER!!, CSI, Family Guy, South Park, Pirates of the Caribbean, music (Folk, Pop, Rock, Country, etc. It's all good...) Slash, Moulin Rouge, RENT, watching cooking shows, individuality... Odd one aren't I?

Dislikes: Close-minded people, conformity, Mary Sues, racism, prejudice, elitism (Only because of what society as a whole defines as the 'elite'.), sexism, people who stupidly believe that one Religion will satisfy over 6 billion people, homophobia, genocide... Er, I'll stop now, because this profile is already really freaking long.

Ask me any 3 questions and as long as you don't ask me my real name or where I live, I'll answer them truthfully. Put this in your profile and see what people ask.

Harry Potter Stuff

I'm completely obsessed with Harry Potter.

I realized that it's been awhile since I've updated my profile in this section, and it's no longer accurate. As of late my official favorite pairing is Harry/Severus. I'm not entirely sure why I like it so much, I just do. My newfound obsession with Snarry has become painfully obvious in my stories, because I seem to be unable to write anything else at the moment. Well, with the exception of Tumble Down. I love me some Snarry, but occasionally I need a taste of something different.

Other than Snarry, I like Harry/Draco, Harry/Sirius, Harry/Remus, Harry/Cedric, and Harry/Neville. If you'll notice, I like Slash involving Harry the best. I also quite enjoy Remus/Sirius and Severus/Sirius, since it's so deliciously ironic. (You Tumble Down readers keep that in mind. -Cackles wickedly-) I'll read almost every slash pairing out there, with a few exceptions.

I will read some Het, including but not limited to, Harry/Hermione, Harry/Luna, Harry/Bellatrix, and, strangely, Hermione/Severus. Only as a side pairing for the last one though.

While I was reviewing my profile, I realized that I have made absolutely no mention femmeslash. I have yet to write any, which is something I think I need to rectify. Anyway, I like Hermione/Ginny for the most part, but I appreciate any well-written femmeslash. I actually read a Minerva/Fleur not too long ago, and was quite surprised when I wasn't revolted. Well, it might've had something to do with the fact that the Minerva/Fleur was a side pairing, and the main pairing was Snarry...

It used to be that I read only Slash one-shots, and only Het multi-chapters, but now anything goes. If I like it, I like it.

Severus, Sirius, and Hermione are among my favorite characters. I like Sirius because he's so brash and Gryffindor, Hermione because she's smart and sensible, and Severus because he's an astonishingly complex character. Besides, who doesn't like a badboy? (I will admit that I prefer fanon Severus to Canon Severus though.) I really dislike it when any of them get bashed. However, I won't discard a good story simply because I don't like who gets bashed. As for character bashing, anything goes. In addition with not liking to see any of my favorite characters bashed, I dislike seeing Remus or Harry bashed. I'm pretty much impartial toward everyone else.

Damn the allure of HPCD and HPSB fanfics, they're pretty much the only ones that can make me cry. So to all those HPCD and HPSB writers, you should be sooooo proud that you've made me cry, destroying my dignity and reputation along the way.

Fandoms

I read a lot of books, and watch very little TV or movies. Most of anything I write will be in a book category, unless it's something like CSI. Here's my thoughts on the various fandoms I've either got something in, will have something in, or am considering putting something in. (They go by likelihood of having something written in them. They will also be by series, not by author. So if I were talking about stuff by Tamora Pierce, I'd go 'Song of the Lioness Quartet'; 'Immortals Quartet'; 'Protector of the Small Quartet'; etc. Not simply, 'Tamora Pierce'.)

Harry Potter: I do believe I've already said everything I need to... Well, I will say that the fourth and seventh books are my favorite. Most of my HP one-shots are AU, and TD is AU after Harry gets attacked by Dementors. I like getting rid of anything that happened after the fourth book, that way I can keep things flexible. If I need something that happened in the fifth, sixth, or seventh books, I'll just write it in.

CSI: This is my absolute favorite TV series. I have seen almost all of the episodes. Unfortunately I missed large portions of the seventh and eighth seasons. -Wipes away tear- I've caught up on most of it though! (Thank you Internet!) I've already written three little one-shots for CSI, and I'm quite proud of them. I write CSI whenever the urge strikes me, but I’m never sure when exactly that will be. Sara is my favorite character, closely followed by Greg. I like Sandle, Snickers, GSR, and even some well-written Sara/Warrick. Other Het pairings that I like are Catherine/Warrick, and Mandy/Hodges (They’re both inevitable!). I like femmeslash here in CSI-land too, most especially Sara/Catherine and Sara/Sofia. Sara/Sofia is probably my favorite of all the pairings. On the slash side I have a special place in my heart for Greg/Nick. Hmm… I think that’s it. Oh, well, actually, I should mention that I dislike frivolity in multi-chaptered CSI fics. Cute one-shot quickies are okay, but if you’re doing a long CSI fic, stick to the tone of the show. Humor is good, fluff-fests are bad.

The ‘Twilight’ Series: My friends and I have like, a cult following for these books. They’re amazing. I’m not choosy when it comes to pairings or characterizations, but I hate it when someone turns Bella into a vampire and then Sueifies her. Even vampires aren’t perfect people! Actually, Edward's seeming perfection kinda pisses me off… I still love him. Anyway, I’ve been toying with some one-shot ideas, mostly set in New Moon, more specifically during the slightly AU time in which Bella is a zombie. Meyer doesn’t put anything in there, so it’s extraordinarily easy to twist the surrounding events a bit and make a new story. Personally I’m just working on some various-POV one-shots of Bella’s zombie period. I’m a sucker for a good angst. They won’t really disrupt the book in any way, so they’ll be fine as stand-alones.

‘The Immortals’ Quartet: Tamora, Tamora, how I love thee. I’m not sure if this is my favorite Tamora series, since Trickster was fantastic, but I do know that Emperor Mage was my favorite of all the Tamora books. I also know that, from what I’ve read of Tamora’s books, Numair/Daine is the only canon pairing that involves the main female protagonist that I’ve liked. (Well, I also like Alanna/George.) I am quite interested with toying Daine/Kaddar (Very short-lived though, with Daine eventually finding her way back to Numair.) and one-sided Daine/Ozorne. Slash will never escape me, even in Tortall, and I like the possibilities available in Lindhall/Numair and Ozorne/Numair. When it comes to characterization, I like my Immortals characters to be as IC as possible, depending on the pairing. They’re fine as they are, leave be.

The ‘Trickster’ Books: I love Aly; she’s just so fun! However, I’m not sure how likely I am to write in this category, especially since the things I want to toy with would change the plot quite a bit. Mainly, I want to kill Nawat. Or at least kill Aly’s love for him. I don’t know why, but I just really don’t like him, and I really don’t like Aly/Nawat pairings. I have been toying with some ideas though. I like the possibilities of Aly/Taybur, Aly/Zaimid, and Dove/Zaimid. I really like the possibility of Aly/Kyprioth. I think it makes sense, and could be incorporated into the books. It certainly wouldn’t be a happy union, not on Aly’s part, but it would definitely be within the realm of possibility. Eventually Aly would fall for him. A very fun love/hate relationship. -Grins- As for characterization, take a look at the characterization note for ‘The Immortals’. Same goes. ( BTW, I knew Dove was going to be queen! I knew it! The whole time I was reading the two Trickster books I was just like, "It's Dove. It's Dove...")

Life With Derek: I’m not an avid watcher of the show, so I don’t have much to say, except that I’ve been toying with some Dasey ideas…

Fic Info

This would be the point where I share some info and thoughts on the WIP's I've got going, and some of the unfinished, half-assed stuff that's floating around my computer.

-000-

Title: Tumble Down

Summary: Bored in the time of his adult self, fifteen year old Tom Riddle takes a walk around suburban Surrey, only to have a black haired, green eyed beauty fall for him. HPTR HGGiW SSSB

Rating: T at the moment, but may be upped to M…

Genre(s): Romance/Action/Adventure

Warnings: Slash, femmeslash, periodic oddity, time travel, more to be revealed as story progresses

Notes: This thing started as a parody of HPTR fics, and now it’s a monster, with a plot, and everything! I actually adore my plot, though I’m seventeen chapters in and it’s only made a few brief, confusing appearances. Chapter Eighteen and I aren’t talking, so I’m afraid that you guys will have to wait until it apologizes for being difficult. Sorry!

-000-

Title: Not From The Stars Do I My Judgement Pluck

Summary: A series of moments during which various people stumble across Harry and Sev's relationship. Story style and tone changes with POV. HPSS WIP

Rating: M, but relatively mild

Genre(s): Romance/Humor

Warnings: Slash, voyeurism, unintentional (or maybe not ;D) exhibitionism, (relatively mild) language, scenes of a sexual nature, additional warnings change depending on chapter

Notes: Really, just my excuse to expose the characters of HP to some good ol’ Snarry slash. I’m currently working on Chapter 4, but we’re having issues. I’ve got plots for the next four chapters lined out. There’ll be around twelve or thirteen chapters total.

-000-

Title: Hold Loosely

Summary: A love potion cannot work if the victim is already in love. When Trelawney sees a past in which Tom Sr. fell in love before Merope got to him, reality starts to fall apart. Harry is sent back in time to prevent Tom from falling in love, only he doesn’t know who Tom’s love is going to be… HPTR

Rating: M

Genre(s): Romance/Drama

Warnings: Slash, Het, time travel, violence, language, more pending

Notes: This is going to be an epic multi-chaptered fic. I am so stoked for it, you have no idea. However, I cannot start another WIP right now; I just don’t have the time for another one. Hell, I don’t have the time for the WIP’s I’ve got. It’ll be written when I’m done TD. The title comes from a quote by A. Maude Royden; “Learn to hold loosely all that is not eternal.” It’s going to involve a lot of the politics and the social classes of the time, so I’ve got tons of research to do about the 1920’s. I have a vague plot hashed out, but I need the research to fill it in. I can’t say when to expect this, because I have no idea.

-000-

Title: Suum Fabula Carmen

Summary: A series featuring Harry and Severus after the war. Both are without magic, and for three years Severus believes Harry to be dead. He has been stripped of his title and Head of the Snape family, all his money, and has been thrown out of magical society. When Harry shows himself to Severus, they both have issues to work through. And then there’s re-entering Wizarding World to contend with…

Rating: Changes depending on installment.

Genre(s): Drama/Angst/Romance

Warnings: Slash, language, possible scenes of a sexual nature, it all depends on my mood, and where the series goes.

Notes: First of all, I can’t imagine what I was trying to say when I chose to title this series as ‘Suum Fabula Carmen’, since it apparently translates to ‘Its Fable Song’, but whatever. Two oneshots in this series have been written (Lux lucis Meus Candela and Alius Dies), and there are two, maybe three more oneshots left. Then I’m thinking of making a novel-length addition to this series. This series is pretty much on hiatus right now, because time has been short. Sorry to all SFC fans!

Title: We Got Nowhere To Go

Summary: After Severus’ death, all he wants to do is sleep. But no, he gets to confront his lover’s family about his relationship with Harry. Lily thinks it’s adorable. Sirius and James? Not so much. HPSS JPLP RLNT PS-DH semi-compliant

Rating: T

Genre(s): Romance/Humor/Angst

Warnings: Slash, Het, Canon-compliancy -Gasp-, language

Notes: This is actually an interesting mix of humor and melancholy. Severus IS dead, after all, and Harry is alive. Everything important that happened in DH and HBP happened, I just sort of twisted the events a bit. You’ll see when I write it. It’s going to be monstrous. It’s not going to be connected to ‘The Cold In The Dark’ at all, even if there are several similarities. That’s because I brainstormed a starting point, but thought of two ways to go with it. Instead of choosing one, I decided to do both. Why not, right? Don’t expect this for awhile. Title stolen from Melissa Etheridge’s “Nowhere to Go”.

-000-

Title: The Cold In The Dark

Summary: Harry remembers everything he did right and everything he did wrong. He remembers everything he said and everything he should’ve said. He remembers the pain and he remembers the fear. He remembers the disappointment and he remembers the disgust. He remembers the hate and he remembers the love. He remembers Snape. HPSS HBP and DH semi-compliant (bends Canon a tad)

Rated: Strong T or mild M, I’m not sure yet.

Genre(s): Angst/Romance/Drama/Action/Adventure

Warnings: Slash, spoilers, taking advantage of the full flexibility of Canon, language, possible snogging/ vaguely sexual scenes. More warnings pending, depending on my mood when I actually get around to writing the thing.

Notes: Based off of “Ruins” by Melissa Etheridge, and the goings-on of my own twisted mind. It’s going to be a one-shot that covers Harry’s sixth year and the Horcrux hunt. All the important happenings stay the same, there’s just a relationship between Harry and Snape interjected. I’ve been kicking this idea around in my head for awhile, and decided I might give it a go when I have the time.

-000-

Title: Underestimation

Summary: He had the audacity to accuse her of being a boring, virginal goody-goody! Nobody talked down to her for being a respectable woman. Ginny Weasley was going to show Draco Malfoy just how wrong he was. Written for Hasufel! GWDM

Rated: M

Genre(s): Romance/Humor/Drama (The last one is a maybe.)

Warnings: Rated for strong language, scenes of a slightly sexual nature, and Het. –Waits as those familiar with her faint-

Notes: This is written for the lovely Hasufel, for successfully guessing the answer to a question-challenge I put on TD. This is certainly different from what I normally write. The plot is probably way over-done, but I don’t really have the inclination to read a bunch of Ginny/Draco’s and discover what’s been done and what hasn’t. It’s completely Het, no Slash pairings in sight. I did, however, give in to Slash Muse a bit and make Harry gay. I can’t help meself! Count yourselves lucky I refrained from pairing him up, like I originally wanted to. It’s a oneshot, and already has about 2 197 words written. This thing is going to be fucking long.

-000-

Title: A Proposal of the Grandest Sort

Summary: Harry has arranged the perfect way to ask for Severus’ hand in marriage, down to the last detail. What Harry hasn’t arranged for is his inherent ability to get into trouble. Features missing rings, devious cohorts, disappearing pots, runaway muggle transportation vehicles, an uncooperative prospective husband, mixed up reservations, ripped tents, wet firewood, and raccoons, oh, the raccoons… HPSS

Rating: K, possibly T…

Genre(s): Romance/Humor

Warnings: Slash, possible language, possible male-male kissing, oddness, disaster

Notes: This was based off of my Gym teacher’s story of how she got engaged. To a much higher degree of calamity, of course, but some of the events in this story are indeed similar to her own comical experience. It makes me wonder who the hell proposes while camping.

-000-

Title: Distorted Perception

Summary: Nothing is as Remus had thought it was, and he finds it hard to cope in a world where the rug keeps getting pulled out from under him. Written for Suzannah Wyatt! RLSB

Rating: M, maybe mild, maybe not-so-mild. -Shrugs- It depends.

Genre(s): Angst/Drama/Romance

Warnings: Slash, language, cutting and/or eating disorder (not sure yet, probably cutting), possible sexual stuff (again, not sure yet), more warnings pending.

Notes: This is for the lovely Suzannah Wyatt, as a reward for being able to correctly guess the answer to challenge B) on TD. She requested an Angst/Romance Remus/Sirius fic, with one or both of them either cutting or with an eating disorder. It goes from Marauder-era Hogwarts up to when Sirius gets thrown into Azkaban. This one will take awhile, because I’d like to be better acquainted with the psychological aspects behind cutting or eating disorders before I attempt to write them into my fics. -Cracks out Chicken Soup books- May or may not have a sequel, depending on the response and my mood. Will be a oneshot.

-000-

Title: Legacy

Summary: For generations, Malfoys have had an inexplicable attraction to Potters. For generations, Malfoys have tried to consummate their admiration. For generations, Malfoys have failed. Scorpius Malfoy refuses to carry on that legacy of failure. But things won’t be easy. Albus Potter doesn’t like being the means to an end. Written for Silver Tears 11. SMAP, one sided DMHP, one sided LMJP, PS-DH compliant

Rating: T (Subject to change)

Genre(s): Romance

Warnings: Slash, snogging, spoilers, devious Slytherins, devious Gryffindors, more pending

Notes: This is written for Silver Tears 11, for being my 200th reviewer on Tumble Down. She requested an Albus/Scorpius fic, and after I looked around a bit, I noticed that a lot of people seem to have Albus/Scorpius as a continuation of Harry/Draco. So I thought, how about I do that, but different. This is a one shot, but I have that sinking feeling that it’s going to be long.

That’s it for now lovelings!
