Author has written 36 stories for Star Wars, Morrowind, Harry Potter, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Song of the Lioness, V for Vendetta, Cats, Oblivion, and Twilight. Note: I will be losing my internet on Monday, so no updates for at least two weeks. Sorry! I'm a twenty-year-old history and English student who has been suffering from a Harry Potter addiction for almost a decade. Attention! I would like to direct you to the author Arciere, and in particular her story Tear You Apart. It's a wonderful Harry Potter fanfic with an original storyline and a Hermione/Blaise pairing. It actually made me like young Master Malfoy, which is something of a miracle. Tear You Apart can be found in my favourite stories section and Arciere in favourite authors. A Quick Note On... Age differences I’ve received a few comments through private messages and reviews that the relationship between Evie and Sirius in my story Evie is strange or even creepy because of the age difference, so I thought I’d give my opinion on the subject. Pairings that I love: Daine/Numair, Alanna/George, Buffy/Spike, Bella/Edward. Seeing the pattern? The majority of fictional relationships that I enjoy reading about feature older men and younger women, so it follows that I don’t find it strange to write about such a relationship. If you don’t like this type of relationship please, please don’t read Evie. Pairings I’m very open minded when it comes to unusual pairings in fanfiction. However, there are two pairings that I can’t stand. These are Kel/Joren in Tamora Pierce fanfiction and Hermione/Draco in Harry Potter. I don’t like them because they change the characters too much. Joren would never enter into a loving relationship with a woman who could wield a weapon, or even a woman who viewed herself as his equal. In his eyes Kel is unnatural because she sacrificed her femininity to become a knight. If you re-read his rant at his trial during Squire you’ll see that he believes Kel and the liberal monarchs who allowed her to become a page are corrupting Tortall. He was so rigid in this belief that he couldn’t “bend” in the Chamber and it killed him. Now, Draco. Yes, he regretted becoming a Death Eater. No, he didn’t take pleasure in torture as other Death Eaters did. But throughout the series he viewed Hermione and other muggle borns as lower than the dirt on his boots. Look at the names: “pure blood” and “mud blood”. According to Draco and his father, Hermione is a pollutant ruining the purity of wizard blood. Although his experience of the war opened his eyes to the absolute evilness of Voldemort and his methods, it doesn’t mean that his lifelong views were eradicated. Considering that Kel and Hermione are both strong young women with a sense of self worth, I find it extremely difficult to believe that they would swoon over men who view them as worthless.
