Winston Churchill:" Yes, and you, Madam, are ugly. But tomorrow, I shall be sober." "Truth. Those who seek it out unknowingly become obsessed with this grand illusion that they're able to control this world; this tiny world..." -- Schwarzwald Dislikes: Bad grammar, incorrect spelling, lack of plot. --These things can really turn a story off for me especially the last point though sometimes a crack story for the sake of hilarity is great too. Spelling and improper grammer can be overlooked if they are few and far between. Crossovers, Super fics, and Yaoi: First of all, I like crossovers but when they're written terribly or made too out of character it just turns sour. It's interesting to see what kind of reaction certain characters have when they meet others of another story line. Mass crossovers are usually bad because with so many characters it can cause convolution which creates a bad story. Super fics are usually like this "main character obtains a super power and beats all the bad guys and lives happily ever after". That is both too bland and too overdone. I'm not trying to generalize but that's how I've seen it so far. Yaoi: nothing against gays but as a straight guy it just doesn't work for me. Plus its usually just gratuitous sex. Mary Su/Berry Stu: Not even going to explain... Other things will be added later when I'm not too busy/lazy. | |||||||
