My name is Lauren. On this site,and on pretty much every other site to which I belong, I go by House24Fan.

I'm 18 years old.

I live in Virginia,a pretty cool state in the Southeastern region of the USA.

I have three younger siblings and no pets to speak of.

I have many, many interests, to the degree that I don't really have the time to invest as deeply in all of them as I'd like.

I love TV and Film and all things related to them. I read alot about film history, and I keep up with pop culture pretty well. I'm way too involved with my shows, I think. I love to read. British Literature, World History, and mythology are some of my favorite subjects along with certain poetry.

I'm a huge anglophile,and I'm very much considering relocating to Britain one day.

Music is one of my great passions. I play the piano, want to learn the guitar ,sing, and I have a large, ever-growing CD collection. As far as the internet goes, I love fanfiction. I mostly read it , not write it, though I'd like to change that.

I also love other great fandom fun stuff. Youtube is a place which I frequent, and I have a large collection of favorite vids on there. I haven't proprerly worked through all of technology yet to make a vid myself, but I have tons of ideas.

Icons and wallpapers are popular with me too, and my pics files are filled with them.

I also love forums,fanlistings,and fansites. Anything that helps like-minded fans stay connected! :)

Shipper Stuff

I am a MAJOR shipper, and I'm not ashamed to say so! :) I like romance, and if I can find it in a story, I will. I usually have several pairing preferences per fandom but only one primary couple. The primary couples are usually my OTPs, One True Pairings, in their respective fandoms. They're the ships that I read the most fic about and love the most.

Also, as my Harry Potter shipping shall make plain, I have nothing whatsoever against shipping in spite of/against the canon. I believe that every reader/viewer has the right to their own interpretation of the characters and story regardless of the "official" version. This isn't history, it's fiction, so it can happen anyway a fan wants it to happen. And I don't ship a pairing on the basis of their "canonization". I support a ship because I think those two characters would work the best together romantically.

Does this mean I support OOC characterization in fic to make my preferences ships happen? Or "character-bashing"? No, not in any way. If and when I write fic for one of my "non-canon" ships, I will try to portay all characters as close to their canon portrayals as possible. So please don't whine at me because "that's not what REALLY happened" with one of my ships. I'm fully aware of the canon. I just choose to ignore it. ;)

The Music

There are few things on the face of this earth that I love as much as music! I love almost every genre. However while I'm not a "musical snob" by any means, I DO draw limits. There are certain artists that will never be anything but rubbish in my opinion(Hannah Montana for example). Alternative rock is probably my most loved genre and rap my least loved, opera is actually pretty great if you hear the right stuff, original scores and good musicals rock my world, and j-pop is my newest musical pleasure.
