Holy shit, how long has it been? I'm not dead, but I'm seriously looking at rewrites at this point. Once I've got my references straight - emphasis on Appendix. (Writing several simultaneously while designing a map.) Patience please. I'm slow posting even without twenty different muses hanging around - they all distract each other.

6) The Lieutenant A common myth of Hyrule is The Hero: not the existence of any era’s Chosen One, but that one crisis has but a single pivotal man. After all, even appointing a Hero is the gods’ plan B. There’s always Plan B, C, and D. And 422Bci, subparagraph 2. They don’t usually pass C, but when the world’s at stake, you can’t plan too much. THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: THE GOLDEN RELIC TRILOGY (or A History of Hyrule)

Hyrule has had many Heroes in her past, and the phenomena known as the Cycle fuels this history. But the stories have largely been lost to time, the remaining tales mere echoes of the true epics they had once been. The men and women involved reduced to simple ideas, however great their foundation, rather than the remarkable people they had once been.

Listed Chronologically:

1) The Glass Disciple When the Hero awoke a child once more, he knew, in a way that was not in the least satisfying, that it couldn't have been that easy. The Cycle wasn't finished when time turned back. Goddesses! It wasn't even half done! The stories would never mention this. Ocarina of Time

2) The Reigns of Sorrow Hyrule had its own problems before Zant showed up. 'Life of Privilege?' Not quite, Midna. Twilight Princess

Named for the most circulated fan name-theory for Twilight Princess, of which this is a novelization. Beginning a few years before the game starts, and Reigns of Sorrow is meant to answer a few oddities in the game, and flesh out the rest. It's a work in progress, and a piece of darker fiction, relative to the game at least. Please excuse my lame attempts at humor and conversation.

Also, if anyone can think of a quirk in the game no one can quite figure out, I may try to work it in, just drop me a line.

And further, to anyone who was interested in it, I'm very very sorry, but I've rewritten chapter six about ten times now, and it has led me to believe I need a complete overhaul, and who knows how long that will take.

An original concept for the legend, this is getting the most thorough pen-to-paper fleshing out I have ever given. it will not however be posted until I get the other two (or at least RoS) done.
