Okay my name is Kathryn, I'm 22 and I'm from Morecambe, England. Currently I am unemployed, typically, but ah well, more time for reading fanfic, which seems to be my main reading interest these days.

At the moment I am hanging around a lot in the Torchwood fandom and no I was not happy about the end of Day Four but c'est la vie. Besides, that's what fanfic is for.

One mini rant caused by reading a lot of fic from (usually) American authors: I do not consider myself to have a British accent as I believe that there is no such thing. If you are Welsh you have a Welsh accent, Scottish a Scottish accent. Why should people from England be any different and have a British accent when it should be English. There are three countries in Britain (the ones I have mentioned) not one. In the same way, we speak of ENGLAND rather than Britain when we are out of the country and talking about our homeland. Call it patriotism but I like people to understand the difference. Great Britain is generally used in sports like the Olympics when we are not competing under seperate countries like we do in the Commonwealth, it it also used in International Politics and when used in conjunction with the Government. If we are using it geographically then the seperate countries of England, Wales and Scotland are used. ie. I live in England rather than I live in Britain. I'll stop ranting now before I start on the differences between the North and South of England and why the North is superior.

I'll finally get around to finishing those WIPs that I have going, I'm just not at all sure when that will be. Blame Torchwood - it hooked me in and stole my brain. I think Ianto archived it somewhere in the hub.

I also have an account on Youtube under the name laalratty. You don't have to look but I do have some playlists that are archives of videos relating to Batman, Doctor Who, Torchwood and Darkwing Duck.
