Author has written 3 stories for Naruto, and Fairy Tales. Originally xXChristineXx I go by Christine I'm very inconsistent in practically everything I do, and I get violent moodswings. Depending on my mood, I can get quite violent when I'm mad at people. I am told that my elbow is very sharp and my slaps hurt, a lot, and I have the tendency to bite people's heads off...you have been warned. I tend to get really angsty and sappy in the evenings, so if there's a really depressing story I have written, it's most likely been written at night, probably around 11 pm. My two favorite genres are angst and humor, and because of that people think I'm crazy (they're probably right). I also have an attachment to time-travel/parallel universe fics, though I don't really know why. I also really enjoy reading Naruto/Bleach crossovers for some reason. And I will pretty much read anything that has some sort of alternate universe with people with special powers. After re-reading the Harry Potter books, I find myself gravitating toward that fandom more often as well. Especially those Slytherin!Harry or Snape-adopts-Harry type of stories. Avatar: Credit goes to holanio, who is another author on this site for the awesome looking avatar. Apparently it's a squirrel holding a giant sword named Daniel Stek (Stec?). Other Accounts: FictionPress: though the stuff I posted on there isn't nearly as good as the stuff on here (even if I have considerably less here) TONFA: (The Original Naruto Fanfiction Archive): the stuff on there should be the same as the ones on here, Naruto-wise at least. Wattpad: because I too have an iTouch and am overly obsessed with it to the point where it's definitely not healthy. Anime/Manga: Naruto-Well, the first part was pretty good, and the second part sort of got messed up, in my opinion (although chapter 440 PWNed, since I have an over-obsession with the Fourth Hokage that surely can't be healthy). Actually, the main reason I haven't completely given up on it is because it leaves so many oppurtunities for FanFiction, since there are a lot of things that have yet to be revealed. But, as of now, I've pretty much given up on the canon version of events. As of now, I know the general gist of events up to around chapter 440, and a little bit afterwards, but other that I'm completely lost, seeing as I've only read like two chapters out of all of Part II. Bleach-Okay, I sort of like the idea of Shinigami running around transporting souls to "heaven". I mean, it sounds pretty fun. Probably not the word that comes to mind, but that's just my opinion. Besides, I think it would be sort of cool to be able to see ghosts and all. And the whole hollow thing, it just makes sense. Yotsuba&!-One of the funniest manga I have ever come across; not exactly one of the better known ones, either (at least not to my knowledge). But I read like 2 or 3 volumes in one day when I was actually supposed to be doing something productive (which doesn't include reading manga), but my friend showed it to me saying how comedy was a must-read, and I got sort of obsessed with it after that. Also sort of reminds me of Haré+Guu (Janguro wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu, meaning The Jungle Was Always Nice, Then Came Guu). Uzumaki-No, it doesn't have anything to do with Naruto; it's a completely separate manga, which I don't recommend anyone to read if they have a fear of spirals, snails, mushrooms, or mosquitoes. I'm serious; after reading the whole series, I developed a one-month fear of spirals and snails (mushrooms and mosquitoes were alright, but I was still wary of them). It's a horror manga, not something I'd usually read, but it's one of those things where you read one chapter and then five minutes later find yourself done with the first volume (of three). It's actually quite addicting, but the pictures may scar you for life. Not something I'd recommend reading before bedtime. Books: Harry Potter-I have this problem where any thing that has to do with magic (or some other thing like it) and danger. So naturally, Harry Potter's on the list. Twilight-Let's get this straight; I am not one of those people who are over-obsessed with Twilight and Edward and all that stuff. I'm not exactly one of those people who absolutely hate Stephenie Meyer, either. I just think Twilight is a good book, even if it is a little over-dramatic with the whole Edward/Bella thing. I just think that everyone overreacts to it, and makes it out to be much more than it actually is. Pendragon-This series is pretty cool. I mean you get to jump into this thing called a flume and travel to different universes and save the world from complete destruction from a guy called Saint Dane (but seriously, what kind of name is that?). Here There Be Dragons (Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica)-I seriously think this series is undercredited. Not that many people have read it, but it's actually really cool. The author mixes elements from all sorts of stories, myths, folklore, etc. and manages to make a believable story out of it, which I think is just amazing. Others: The DaVinci Code/Angels and Demons (also known as Angles and Demoons), The Gemma Doyle Trilogy (A Great and Terrible Beauty), 39 Clues, Unwind, The Adoration of Jenna Fox, Percy Jackson and the Olympian, Mrs. Pollifax novels Generally I read any story with magic, or the likes, realistic/futuristic settings (which may or may not include genetic modification), or just any story that catches my attention, sounds interesting, or is recommended to me. Movies/TV Shows: Vantage Point-One of the most awesome-est movies I have ever seen (also with one of the best movie posters I have ever seen). I mean, you see the same thing happening at least five times, but each time is from a different perspective until you finally get all the information you need to figure out the whole plot. I actually had to watch it twice to get the whole thing. Hancock-A very interesting twist on the typical super hero. The plot twist is interesting, and it's actually somewhat believable (at least the actions of the characters and general story line was, and the special effects were pretty believable). Pirates of the Caribbean-Actually, I watched the third one first, and then watched the first one. Never watched the second one, but I still thought it was pretty good, even if I had to get my friend to explain everything to me every ten seconds. Glee-I just really like how they incorporate singing into the storyline, while having it in a way that could actually happen (in other words, not randomly singing in the middle of nowhere), and the fact that they're singing pop songs is also cool. Not to mention that it's completely hilarious, but also somewhat believable. Others: Avatar, Pan's Labyrinth, Star Wars, Modern Family Music: I'm not really picky to the type of music I listen to, but I usually listen to pop, rock, or sometimes classical. Don't really like rap or techno that much, but will listen to it, if not given any other choice. My favorite artist is probably Vanessa Carlton, but I also like Linkin Park, Taylor Swift, and Broadway songs, especially Andrew Lloyd Webber. Other songs I like include 100 Years, Viva la Vida, How to Save a Life, Fireflies, and pop in general. I also play piano, flute, and French horn. Though as to whether I'm actually good at any of those... Video Games: Well, I sorta suck at them. But like most people, that doesn't really stop me. I end up kicking/hitting/elbowing people when they make fun of me so it all works out. Rock Band/Guitar Hero/Band Hero-So I recently sang my lungs out in Rock Band/Band Hero (not that it was any good, so don't get any ideas, but it was fun and that's what matters) though I prefer playing guitar/bass. Preferably one note at a time because I just started failing once I got double notes. As for drums, I'm decent but sometimes te foot pedal throws me off. Super Smash Brothers-Always a classic, I mostly play Kirby and Zelda though I end up being first or second to die most of the time so yea...:/ League of Legends-Relatively new (I think), compared to some of the other games that have been out there. But it's a cool strategy player vs. player game in which you summon a champion, each of which has four different abilities as well as a passive (think Pokemon xD) and defend your side of the map. It's also scarily addicting, probably because each time you play it could be completely different from the last game. For those of you that play, message me and maybe we can play together :) I mostly play Caitlyn and Sona though I'm still trying out other champions. For those of you that don't play, go ahead and click the link to try it out. It's completely free so you have nothing to lose. Pairings: I pretty much don't care what pairing it is as long as it makes sense in that particular story. I don't generally read slash cause I'm just not that way, but I don't have anything against gay people in general. Though there is the occasional slash fic that just stands out so much that I have to read it. Also, pedophiles are just weird. Period. So I generally stay away from pairings where the people are like ten years apart. I ship most canon pairings, but also read other unique pairings, so to speak, that would only have a chance of occurring in fanfiction (after all, that's what fanfiction's for). Besides, it's interesting seeing how they interact with each other put into a completely new situation. My Stories: Reverse Psychology-Naruto fandom, One-shot, Team 7, One-sided NaruSaku, SasuSaku, Naruto-centric, Complete. Kakashi's Snapshots-Naruto fandom, One-shot, Team 7, Kakashi-centric, Complete The Last Days of the Wolf-Fairy Tales fandom, multi-chaptered, Complete Friends:(in a not-so-subtle attempt to spread the love, or at least the reviews) anjentine-The one who first dragged me into the black hole known as manga (more specifically Naruto), and more importantly, fanfiction, back when I was a young, innocent, impressionable elementary schooler (yea right). But she's the reason I'm here so yay for that. Kakashi's Snapshots was originally her story before she moved on to greater and better things. iCyBEaSt-Another part of our little Naruto/fanfiction trifecta that we formed way back in elementary school. She has some nice character analysis fics out (much like mine xD) and tends to give me good feedback on my writing. DFOverture-Relatively new to fanfiction, we'd have random conversations about fanfiction in general and what fanfiction is good and what cliches totally suck. Recently put out his first fic which I had the honor of proofreading and is generally who I discuss ideas with. holanio-Introduced me to a new definition of humor. Had the pleasure of working with her in a completely different area before discovering that she too was a fanfiction-er. The person I go to to spaz about Percy Jackson and other Rick Riordan related stuff, as well as the person who drew me the awesome avatar and many other pictures that I did not deserve. Currently Working On...or at least should be working on: Rain-Naruto fandom, Naruto-centric, one-shot, "It was almost a sin that something so clean and pure could be part of his life." Will probably start on it after I finish Kakashi's Snapshots--0 percent done, but I have the general idea floating around in my head. As of now, on temporary hiatus (...if you can have hiatus on something you haven't even started...). Path to Repentence-Naruto fandom, Orochimaru-centric, one-shot, 20 truths format, "There was still a way to be good again." Exploring the idea of how the "evil" people never consider themselves evil. So pretty much justification for what he does from his point of view.--approximately 33% done, not including proofreading and whatnot, but have it planned out most of it...I think...might need to tweak it a bit to fit the "twenty" part. EDIT: So I think I'm actually stretching the 20 truths part so it's more like 35 or so. Whoops. God's Angels-Hancock fandom, Mary-centric, one-shot, series of vignettes, "They were called God's Angels, but there really wasn't anything angelic about them. If there was, she wouldn't have abandoned him to a life of loneliness and pain." Retelling of Hancock from Mary's point of view, her feelings, explanations for actions, as well as some back story to what it was like before she met Ray. Actually had the idea for a while (pretty much ever since I first saw Hancock when it was in theaters), just haven't gotten around to putting those ideas into words. Other Ideas: Behind the Mask-Phantom of the Opera fandom, Erik-centric, character analysis fic on the three "faces" of Erik: Phantom of the Opera, Angel of Music, Erik Broken Glass-Naruto fandom, Naruto-centric, character analysis in the sense that it's written from third person limited centered around Naruto who analyzes his current situation and parallels it with the people around him. Might be done as a collaboration with Rain. [Untitled]-Naruto fandom, SasuSaku, given as a challenge a while ago to write a SasuSaku fic with the prompt: Your kiss a city of stars. A House is Not a Home-Naruto fandom, tentative fourshot, Naruto, Sasuke/Itachi, Gaara, Haku, exploring what it means to call a place a home I have a bunch of other ideas for stories, but just need to get around to writing them, and seeing my current writing progress, it's probably not gonna happen anytime soon... As of now I'm sticking to one-shots, as my update speed for multi-chapter stories will probably be atrocious, but I might want to try a time travel story sometime...later...eventually... You know what I need? I need something that can translate thoughts directly into a script. Like I could think it, and it would be magically written out for me. That would be wonderful. Ah, wishful thinking... July 23, 2009-Posted Reverse Psychology January 1, 2010-Changed penname from xXChristineXx to chrishuyen. Happy New Year everyone!
