6th of September, 2009 Folks, I've been getting heaps of messages asking about my fics (mostly My Homicidal Prince). I don't think I have responded to any, since I honestly planned on just ignoring everything that had to do with this account (not counting the alerts). But then I decided to save y'all the trouble of asking and give you here some answers. I deleted all my fics and left this account, moved all of my stories (fics of many different fandoms) to my private Livejournal because I decided to let my fics be read only by a limited selection of people (approx 100 or so). Believe it or not, but this doesn't have anything to do with the amount of reviews and whatnot. It's just that those people who read my fics, understand that I for real don't take shit from strangers. Honestly, telling me to update, threatening to 'break my hands' if I don't move with the plot as you want, attempting to give 'good concrit' while you can barely string words into a sentence, or (dhh) send a based-on-nothing flame regarding my update speed and then disable any means I could use to respond...? I'll be honest - I can't stand idiots. For real. Naive, simple minded little shits who think they're the freaking gems piss me off. And out of my readers, roughly nine out of ten were like that. Now, my fics. They are available on my private, friends only Livejournal for a limited audience. I have been rewriting, changing, learning the ropes all over again, and I'm not the only one who thinks that the quality of my works has risen up. Currently I'm mostly writing Harry Potter fics. The Naruto fics that used to be on this account will never make a reappearance on this site. Perhaps one day in an LJ community, but don't count on it. I'm most likely going to keep them all as gifts for my private audience. And here is one more thing I'd like you readers to know. If you're a writer, you should pretty much know this already, but it's a fact that many tend to forget. We (the writers) owe you (the readers) nothing. We're not indebted to you and should not ask for your forgiveness when it comes to late updates, plot twists or whatever else. You may give us honest critic if you believe that it will help us, but in the end you have no rights whatsoever to demand anything from us. It's not you doing the work, it's us. We're the ones wasting hours writing, you're the ones who spend a few minutes reading what could have taken us days to complete. Do keep that in mind and start appreciating other writers. I have gotten many apologies from "silent supporters" who should have known that while I'm awesome, I'm not omnipotent and that the messages you never send will never reach me either. Adoringly Yours, Pain au Chocolat | |||||
