The Who: Your Friendly Neighborhood Stalker

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm a terrible autobiographer.

I can tell you that I listen to music like the average mammal breathes. I make veiled references to all fictional mediums that none of my friends understand because they're so much cooler than I am. My sarcasm is only outdone by my ability to trip over absolutely nothing. I could burn down my own house unintentionally if left unsupervised in a kitchen. Upon googling my name I've decided that the powers that be are funnier than a Carlin-Hedburg-Costello love child. Compartmentalized doesn't even begin to cover it. Spinning around in a desk chair until you're almost sick is a perfectly acceptable way to pass time. Pretending you are not from your nation of origin and repeatedly insisting your best friend is a prostitute in the middle of the Museum of Natural History in indecipherable broken English is just as much fun as it sounds. Purchasing a book written about the history of women in america and their respective firearms purely because the author has the same name that your parents so lovingly gave to you is entirely necessary. Singing loudly to every mediocre popular song produced by your generation is totally required when in a moving vehicle. Especially the ones people like to pretend they don't know every line of and secretly rock out to. I also wrestle alligators in the nude. It's excellent cardio.

The What: Waning and Rising Addictions

I read - NCIS, Supernatural, SG-1, Jane Austen, Burn Notice, Bones, Dark Angel, iCarly, The Pretender, the various Superman universes, Psych and Tamora Pierce. There are others but they come and go, too fleeting to really mention.

I write - Austen, The Pretender, NCIS, SG-1, Psych, Robin Hood, X-Men Movie Verse, Star Trek IX, iCarly, and some Marauder Era Potter when the mood strikes.

The Where: Hanging Hats and Tortured Heroes

I'm usually pretty conventional in my pairings, I'm not a slash kind of girl (yes I'm one of those rare fans who doesn't read Wincest, and isn't affiliated with a religious organization, hi). I heart backstory like woah. I love when the under appreciated are put in peril. Give me a good old Hurt! so and so, or perhaps a nice pre-series and if I can find it the 'I've had enough I'm leaving'. Outsider POV's are also one of my known weaknesses. I usually stick to certain characters. Rogues with a quick wit, sharper tongue and abandonment issues are my kryptonite. (Not that Dean, Tony, Ryan, Peter or any others fit that profile. cough)

The When: Procrastinators - Leader of Tomorrow - Current as of 12-01-11

for ridiculous ranting and succinct regualr updates check the homepage (aka Twitter)

TMYL: Chapter Eight is finally up after unforseen delays, and I'm starting on Chapter Nine, which will be featuring reunions and puppies and a whole lot of dead people. So, yeah. I have never and will never forget this fic, I open it almost everyday and try and find the angle I need. I'm getting closer and I hope that one day it'll be finished, I just can't get the scenes to jive.

OOO: Chapter Three will feature the wonderfully lovely and terrifically clever Uhura. There will apples, McCoy, soldering and of course lots of angst-y-agnst-ness. It's getting ridiculously long though so I might have to find another outlet for her discovery.

Five By Five - As stated I am taking suggestions for the 'five things' categories and/or the five things themselves. If you have a category or suggestion drop me a line. As of right now the upcoming fives are 'Times McGee's Book Complicated His Life' and 'Random Skills He Just 'Happens' To Have'. So if you have a 'time/skill' for either let me know as I haven't gotten all five for either yet.

And next time on seren_mercury's Wonder Wheel of the Bizarre, I'm rebooting something I wrote when I wasn't fit for intellectual thought, getting an incredibly length SG-1 AU under way and keeping with the random one shots. So hide your kids, hide your wife, you haven't seen the last of me yet.

The Why: Turn That Frown Upside Down

Most of what I wind-up writing is inspired by my intense desire to read-or see if the medium is active-that certain something but I just can't find it. Shows have also been known to just drive me up a wall so I need closure, or for someone to say that damn it all they do love insert name here. There's usually a general, 'we never noticed before' theme to my stuff.
