OK.

I'm twenty-two; I was fourteen when I started writing here. It's been about six years since I last wrote. All my old stories make me cringe . . . hopefully, I'm a better writer now. I just don't have as many ideas as I used to. D:

I like Digimon. Well, a particular character in Digimon. Ishida Yamato. If you head on over to my first profile, it's rather obvious (just don't read my fanfiction there . . .).

True Digimon coupling I support is Sorato, but I also like Taito/Yamachi (I have 100+ doujinshi of this pairing cough) and Yakari (but not really). I find Takari deathly boring (and I don't see their personalities clicking, either -- that might be why), and Taiora . . . well . . . let's not even go there. (DUB PARASITE. Cough.)

As is obvious, Yamato is my favourite character. My second favourite, though a distant distant distant second, is probably Taichi. And I dislike basically the entire cast of 02. Ha. Iori, Miyako, Ken and Daisuke all annoy me . . . as does Hikari and Takeru. Um. So, how can I like Yakari, but dislike Hikari? The dynamics. The whole she's-my-best-friend's-little-sister angle. As for Takeru . . . he just annoys me sometimes. I don't really know why. Heh. (Taichi and Yamato for brothers FTW!!11 XD)

I also like the family dynamics of Yamato and his parents. So, basically . . . I am a fan of Yamato/Sora, Yamato/Taichi friendship, Taichi/Yamato (and reversed), Hiroaki/Yamato father-son bonding, and Natsuko/Yamato mother-son bonding. Yay.

Anyway, if for some strange reason you'd like to email me, you may do so here. I'm not the best at getting back, though . . . I'll delay replying, and then a couple of months will pass, and then I'll feel weird about replying after so long. So I usually don't. D:

And because Yamato rocks, here are random translations of small snippets in various official profiles of Yamato in the Japanese books I own. All translated by my friend, Alisha. DO NOT STEAL. D:

Because his true character has too strong a sense of responsibility, in the digital world he shows that he's a bit too careful about taking risks. Because of that, he often gets into conflict with the impulsive Taichi." (Well this one is his official profile on Toei's site.)

"The truth about leaving his mother with his little brother Takaishi Takeru, is that it would be too much for her to look after him. His special skill is the harmonica."

"The lead vocalist in a band. He has many fans, Daisuke's older sister being the first. He's usually calm, but if Gabumon's in a crisis, there's nothing he won't hurry to sacrifice!!"

"He's a 2nd-year junior high-school student who does the vocals in his own band. Although he made friends with Taichi, he doesn't like Daisuke's older sister Jun . . ."

"After growing his hair longer, he became more and more cool, and is now an active band member. Although he's an amateur, he's quite popular, and perhaps in the future we'll see him singing on the big stage?"

"Going to space with Gabumon! After becoming an astronaut, he was the first to take a partner digimon as a friend to space! But because of this, he had to develop Gabumon's space suit . . .!?"

Oh hello. Several months ago I started working on a Sorato one-shot that might see the light of day . . . but not for a while yet, unfortunately. But it's probably going to be the last Sorato I'll ever write . . .

I recently had a "talk" with someone about the Chosen children and astrology. And thus, their "birthdays". Yes, out of nowhere, but this is what I want my profile to state.

The 01 and 02 Chosen children DO NOT have birthdays.

If you've heard otherwise, you've been mislead. Any anime birthday sites with any of the 01 or 02 Chosens' birthdays are lies (I really have no idea why anyone would choose to believe sites like those where every stranger and fish simply submits birthdays . . .). Trust me. The only 01/02 Chosen to have a birthday is Sora, and it's in March. No set date, either. Just in March. This was revealed in the second Digimon movie. I choose to believe this "birthday" of hers was purely for plot purposes, due to no set date, and the fact that no character profile of hers, whether on Toei's site or various official Japanese Digimon books (which I luckily own), state birthdays for her or the others on their various profiles. And you'd think they would if they had birthdays, wouldn't you? But no.

(Further proof: Masaru of Digimon Savers has a birthday that is readily known by Digimon Savers fans. Shoved out there for all to see. The 01 and 02 Chosens? No.)

Therefore, they do not have birthdays. OK? OK.

(Update: Finally got a hold of the official Japanese book "Digimon Adventure Character File" -- which is a book of profiles specifically about the characters of 01 and 02. All the other books I have were artbooks and overall guides of Digimon in general, where they'd have small profiles of all the kids. This book is aimed specifically about the kids, from the beginning of 01 to the epilogue in 02. It even has blueprints of their homes . . . Anyway, the point is, this is the most complete character profiles you can find on them, and no one is listed as having a birthday -- not even Sora.)

Now, I'm not going to rant about the theories of why I think each 01 and 02 Chosen were based on an individual sign, because that will lengthen my profile and I want to keep this as short as possible. All you need to know is that I do think they were based on signs, with Japan's apparent obsession with star signs (and blood types) backing me up. (Lots of anime base their characters on signs, such as Gravitation, One Piece, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptors, etc.) So, I'm going to state the sign and month, along with the Chosen I've assigned to each sign. (I've been into astrology since I was twelve. I'm now nineteen. I know enough.)

Twelve chosen children and twelve zodiac signs. Coincidence? I think not.

Aries - April - Taichi

Taurus - May - Hikari

Gemini - June - Miyako

Cancer - July - Mimi

Leo - August - Daisuke

Virgo - September - Jou

Libra - October - Ken

Scorpio - November - Sora

Sagittarius - December - Takeru

Capricorn - January - Iori

Aquarius - February - Koushiro

Pisces - March - Yamato

Break them up into elements, and you will find similarities between the three specific Chosens, as you would between the specific element. The elements are Fire, Air, Earth and Water.

Fire - Taichi, Daisuke and Takeru. (OPTIMISM.)

Air - Miyako, Ken and Koushirou. (INTELLIGENCE.)

Earth - Hikari, Jou and Iori. (WISDOM.)

Water - Mimi, Sora and Yamato. (EMOTIONS.)

And just an interesting tidbit: the official couples are Yamato and Sora, and Ken and Miyako. Traditionally, the best zodiac couples are those within their own elements. The Air signs are best with the other Air signs, the Water signs are best with the other Water signs, and you get the idea. So. Ken and Miyako? Libra and Gemini. Both Air signs. Yamato and Sora? Pisces and Scorpio. Both Water signs. (Takeru is a Fire sign, Hikari an Earth sign. Not the same element. Toei didn't put them together.)

Feel free to look up the signs, and compare them to a specific character. This can be a good guide to their personalities. If you base Yamato on the sign of Pisces, chances are, he'll come off a lot more Yamato-like in your fanfiction. =O)

NOTE: I made a new account because I don't like deleting fanfiction . . . even though I want to delete just about everything on my old account. So, I'm just leaving that old one up with all the fanfiction on it that I . . . dislike. And trying to start fresh on this one. Though, I might still update an old fanfiction . . . if I get around to re-doing prior chapters, because really, it's ghastly stuff to me. o.o
