Hobbies/Loves: Why don't I start with my first love, the New York Mets. Look, I know they have nothing to do with fanfiction, but I guess it does speak about my character. I root for the underdog, the guy that has go through hell and back to get any type of recognition, and whenever he does succeed, the victory becomes that much sweeter. Which leads me into the reason I even created a profile here on this website, Naruto. I have to say, I got to give props to my cousin for actually getting me into this anime 2 years ago. Anyways, Naruto himself is the quintessential underdog that has to deal with so much adversity and neglect his whole life. However, he doesn't let those negative aspects of life weigh him down and has met every challenge with fierce determination and kage bunshins. In the end of the day, he has been able to affect more people through his powerful words and knock down every obstacle coming his way through sheer willpower and guts. And for these reasons, I read fanfics that deal with him hooking up with (in order might I add) either Sakura, Hinata, Ino, or Temari. Narusaku seems to be the most likely scenario out of all of them because of all the time they spend together (because they are on the same team) and the fact that he has been growing on her little by little as time progresses. And besides, there are a lot hints that definitely point towards that pairing. And besides, wouldn't it be great that even with the rocky beginning that these 2 had (Sakura told Kakashi the first time they all met as a team that one of the things she hated the most was Naruto) that somehow, someway, Naruto would be able to capture Sakura's heart and have her fall in love with him just like she had for Sasuke, just like Naruto had fallen in love with her. But if Sakura is his ultimate prize, then Hinata is the girl he truly deserves. I know it sounds weird but just hear me out. Hinata is the only person that from the beginning of the series has truly taken a deep understanding and appreciation for Naruto, to the point that she has a crush on him. When he was young, everyone in the village used to shun him and pay him no attention, even everybody's favorite teacher Iruka. It only seemed that the only time people paid attention to him when he was young was when he played pranks on people. However, Hinata always spied on Naruto and was always silently cheering him on from the shadows and the back of the classroom. She was the only person that never showed disdain towards the boy, and always said his name with the honorific ending -kun (granted she uses that honorific with any boy she is familiar with). She would be the perfect girl for him because her love for him has always been there and is the only girl from that age group (other than sakura who is in his team) that was totally affected by Naruto's words of encouragement and support. Because of him, she put up a strong showing in the Chunnin exams and was able to advance as a respectable kunoichi. And lastly, Ino and Temari, who are both crack pairings when paired up with Naruto. Naruto and Ino don't like each other so the chances of them hooking up are very small. The only reason they look good together is because they are both loud, blonde, blue eyed, brash people who would just as easily fight with each other than save each other, let alone love each other. This combination makes for very interesting fanfictions. And with Temari, there is absolutely no chance. If they have spoken two sentences between the 2 of them it would be a lot. She most likely pairs up well with either Shikamaru or to a lesser degree Sasuke. As to why I may from time to time read a Narutema fic: she is a very strong kunoichi, and hes super powerful enough to humble her own abilities. But like I said, there is no chance of this pair to even have a chance. So in recap, first is Narusaku, a close second is Naruhina, a far third is Naruino, and a distant fourth is Narutema and that's it. That's right, I'm not interested in any other pairings that don't involve Naruto in them. But on a final note, I couldn't leave this section without mentioning the reason I became completely hooked onto fanfiction, hell anime for that matter, Dragon Ball Z and GT. I started watching that series and reading its fanfictions well over 11 years ago. Yeah that's right, most of you kids that write these Naruto fanfictions were still in your diapers! Man that makes me feel old :( I was a huge Goku/Kakaroto, Goten, Pan, and Bra fan. It really is too bad that now is when they are coming out with a ton of DBZ/GT video games, when I am no longer interested in playing them. That really sucks. And on a lesser note, I also like Ranma 1/2, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo/in Tokyo, Inuyasha, Gundam Wing, Fist of the North Star, Gokusen, Ninja Scroll, and Bleach. Dislikes: Well in the world of fanfiction, there are a lot of creative ideas that I just don't agree with. Don't get me wrong, sometimes the author is very talented and has his/her reasons for writing what they do but i find some of these things to either be downright wrong or just plain ridiculous. Like any yaoi, especially in Naruto. When the hell has Naruto or any guy in that series for that matter, shown any inclination that they like other men (except for Orochimaru, but he's just a pedophile who gets killed anyway for that reason). Naruto is always talking about Sakura-chan this and Sakura-chan that. Trust me, if the conditions were right, yeah I don't think I need to finish that sentence. Kakashi doesn't strike me as being gay. He may have some sort of commitment issues because of his life as a ninja, but he is most certainly not gay. Same can be said about Iruka or Jiraiya, Mr. Ero-sennin himself. And Sasuke, the Emo drama king himself, is so focused in his one tracked mind on killing his brother, that he doesn't have time to be dealing with these hos that jump at his feet. However, once he gets his revenge, he said that the second part of his ambition is to revive the clan. The only way he's going to be able to do that in the most efficient way is by becoming a mormon and having like 20 wives with like 8 kids each. And for some reason, everyone seems to be on his dick to jump at that opportunity, which trust me, he'll take once he kills Itachi. Having said that, Sasuke is my least favorite character in the series. He is irrational, can't think outside the box, and is fixated on a goal that in the end will lead him and those close to him to utter ruin. I hope he gets killed off, but thats just wishful thinking because I don't think Masashi Kishimoto will do that. And for some reason, i don't like either Chouji, Shizune, Iruka or Tenten. Their powers suck, they are always throw ins, and Tenten, Iruka and Shizune doesn't even have a last name. Who the hell do they think they are, Seal? The other thing I generally dislike are high school fics, especially when they aren't ninjas. Of course there are some exceptions but for the most part, most of those fics don't fit the characters in the anime. These authors are merely just writing a high school fic and slapping a Naruto character's name on the characters in the fic, which is just dumb. Then there are the various pairings that I just don't like: sasusaku (he totally doesn't deserve her and she would be stupid for going back to him), kibahina (I don't like kiba, he uses his stupid little dog too much and hinata wod just treat him as a naruto replacement and always wonder what if), narutenten (if they've said 2 words to each other that would be 2 words too many, and besides she is a sucky character), itasaku (in fact anybody in the akatsuki with either Sakura or Hinata, it just doesn't make any sense. They both love Naruto too much to fall for any guy that is trying to kill him), kankuro/anybody (I'm sorry I like the guy but they have never given him enough camera time with any female except his sister for me to find any relationship with any of the main characters to be plausible), gaahina (wtf?!), gaasaku (yeah tried to kill her once wtf?!), sasuhina (they've never uttered a syllable to each other let alone profess their love to one another), leesaku (she respects him, doesn't mean that he's still not creepy), leehina (again they've never talked to each other), kakasaku (Sakura has never shown any interest in her sensei, and the reverse is true as well. Besides he sees her more as his niece or something), nejihina (they're cousins people) and any fem Kyubi pairing. I also hate super powered Sakura, Hinata, or OC. Come on, Sakura has the smallest chakra reserves of all of the main characters in the anime. She's weak with her taijutsu and ninjutsu, and has an affinity for genjutsu. Granted, she trained with Tsunade and her taijutsu improved because she was able to dodge a lot better and hit with chakra enforced super human strength, and that's fine. But Sakura can't outlast Naruto in a fight where a lot of chakra is spent, it's impossible. He has one of the largest chakra reserves and with good reason. He's got his own set of weaknesses, but his stamina is not one of them. And Hinata suffers from the same fate as Sakura. No she isn't trained by Tsunade, but she trains with her father and makes her physical strength a non-factor when she's able to use the jyuken style of fighting effectively. She even created her own moves, which is great. But you can't tell me that her ninjutsu and taijutsu skills are better than Naruto's. She got her ass handed to her by Neji, and Neji was beat by Naruto. There is no way she beats Naruto in a real fight or a spar. And when an OC is stronger than the canon characters (unless he/she is a Kage, then it is understood) the story just loses all of its juice. And finally, I detest people that put up stories for the sake of putting up a story. Look, if you either don't know how to write in this language properly (above 7th grade level, including sentence structure, scene changes, and dialogue exchange), and/or can only come up with a nondrabble story that is less than 600 words, do us all a favor and don't post that garbage up in this website. As most of the authors in my Favorites know, I tend to leave pretty good and lengthy reviews for their well-written stories/chapters. I guess that covers it all for now unless I decide to add more as I go along. Oh yeah I hate the Yankees.
