Author has written 22 stories for Stargate: SG-1, Without a Trace, X-Men: The Movie, and Glee.

Name: xxDark-Elfxx

Nickname: Elf, Cowboy (yes, even though I'm a girl)

Favorite Shows and Movies(italics are books): Stargate SG-1 (Daniel/Vala, Daniel/Cam, Gen.), Bones (Booth/Brennen), CSI:NY (Danny/Lindsey), CSI:Miami (Eric/Ryan), Magnificent Seven tv show (Chris/Vin, Vin/OC, Buck/JD, Vin-centric gen.), Without A Trace (Martin/Danny, Martin/Jack, Martin/OC, Martin-centric gen.), Nightside novels, Good Omens, Harry Potter (Harry/Draco), X-Men movies and comics (Scott/Logan, Logan-centric gen., Scott-centric gen.) The Sentinel (Jim/Blair), Newsies (Jack/David, Spot/Race, assorted gen. with pairings), Numbers (Charlie/Colby), Burn Notice~haven't actually read any fic for this. huh.~, Pirates of the Carribean, Escape From L.A./N.Y., Now and Again (gen), Star Wars Original Trilogy (Han-centric gen, Han/Luke, Han/Leia) Star Wars prequels (Obi-wan/Padme), Psych (Shawn/Lassiter), Batman~Nolan universe~(Batman/OC, Batman/Catwoman), Grey's Anatomy (Alex/Christina~very unloved pairing here~, Alex/Meredith, Alex-centric gen.), NCIS (Gibbs/Tony, Tony/Ziva), Indiana Jones, GLEE (Puck/Kurt, Puck-centric gen, Puck/Brittany), etc. etc.

Dislikes: Poorly written fics. Honestly, nothing will get me off your page/site/mailing list faster than some of the affronts to grammar lurking in the archives of some places. I have a few no-go pairings that I avoid like the plague including Daniel/Sam, Martin/Sam, Alex/Izzie, Scott/Jean, and a few others. I'm not a snob, though, and I realize there are fans out there that are as devoted to their ships as I am to mine. I have no problem with this, just don't shove it down my throat. There's nothing wrong with telling me that you personally perfer certain pairings, in fact I've discovered a few new fave pairings this way when others pointed out a match-up I might not have considered, but please don't rant and rave if I choose a ship you hate, either.

Misc:

I read in all the ratings, folks, and write in most as well. I try to include at least a basic covering of what you'll find in my fics in the summary or the rating I choose. Pay attention to this and you need not stumble upon something distastful. Also, in the slash pairings, I list the pairing as Top/Bottom, such as Puck/Kurt, means Puck is topping. If this is something you have real favorites over, again, PAY ATTENTION.

I adore reveiws and make it a point to try and respond to them all. I'll answer any questions you have, spoil you if you wish, and happily share what scenes may not have made the cut. Think of it as the special features menu. Ask and I'll try to deliver.

I have very fickle muses. They like to torment me and by extension you, with hitting me with fantastic ideas and then packing up in the middle of the night and leaving, after having eaten all the food and generally made a mess. I do my best to rein them in and finish what I start but it can take a while. (As evidenced by the year long lag in Unplanned Intervention that I'm happy to say has ended.) I also hate posting a chapter or story if I'm not happy with it and I have a busy RL so I'm afraid I'm just not one of those fic writers we all worship because they can post a chapter a day for eight months. Below is my status list for fics which will give you at least some idea of where I'm headed or not headed with everything.

Oh, and there are a handful of characters/actors I adore. These guys have set up shop in my head and seem to be here to stay. I often refer to them as 'the boys' and have been known to ramble on about their, uh, assets upon occasion. But really, who can blame me?

My Boys:

Eric Close (Vin Tanner, Martin Fitzgerald)

Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson)

Hugh Jackman (Logan/Wolverine)

James 'Jimmy' Marsden (Scott Summers, whatever that guy's name was in '27 Dresses')

Christain Bale (mainly Jack from Newsies, but really, I'll watch anything he's in)

Alex Karav (Grey's Anatomy. this one's just the character)

Colby Granger (Numbers, ditto from above)

Mark Salling (Glee, Noah 'Puck' Puckerman)

Chris Colfer (Glee, Kurt Hummel)

Fic Status: (only includes WIPs and sequels pending)

Unplanned Intervention: Finally out of it's dead zone! Ya-hoo! I've re-worked the timeline in my head and it seems to have enticed the muse back for awhile, fingers crossed. Once (if!) it's finished, I will probably go back and tweak it, as I feel there are some continuity issues. EDIT 7/2010: This is back on hiatus. I don't know when or if I'll be able to finish it. I'm really sorry guys but I'd rather wait and write it well, then rush it and write it poorly.

Something Remains: This is actually more it's own little collection then a series, held together by the idea of Daniel and Vala reaching out in their dreams to find and express their feelings. It contains the first piece I ever wrote, 'Something Remains: Vala' and was the result of reading eight Sherrilyn Kenyon 'Darkhunter' novels in a row. It flowed very naturally onto the screen and I've been searching for that level of inspiration ever since. It's currently complete although I'm not ruling out adding to it later. I have removed 'Til Her' from the collection and made it a standalone because it just didn't seem to fit. The recomended reading order is as follows but they can be read alone.

Something Remains: Vala
Something Remains: Daniel
Something Remains: Choice
Something Remains: Anything

Cold: In-progress and going strong, even though it needs a better title, and my fave thing to work on right now. The boys are very happy to keep whispering ideas into my ear. EDIT 7/2010: This is also on hiatus. I'm pecking away at an update but honestly I have no idea when I'll be getting back to it.

Fruit: Dead. The plotbunny left me and I can't seem to find it. Sorry for those of you who wanted another installment but it is still readable as is, no cliffhangers.

In My Head: This is a oneshot right now, but several of you have suggested (demanded) a sequel and I have a general idea taking hold in my mind, but it's still some ways off from being written. It's not completely off the table though, so have hope!

Disclaimer:

Since I never remember to put in my stories, here it is: I am not in any way affiliated with or own any part of any of the various fandoms/universes/shows/movies/books I write about and am making no money of these stories/creations. Suing me will get you a used laptop, a huge amount of books, one disgruntled cat, and an assortment of pens with the ends chewed off.

Remember, pillage first, then burn. Reviews are mental candy. Stargate will live forever. Don't stop believing. Dolphins are just gay sharks.
