I am forty three years old, born in the year of the Dragon, a day before Severus Snape (January 8). I am a pagan. I am a dog groomer by profession. I live with my husband, who is a Kadazan tribesman from the island of Borneo. His oldest daughter lives with us, she's gorgeous, intelligent and all things a mother could want. We are all mad about animals and have a fifteen year old Australian Cattle Dog, an eight year old American Pit Bull, a nine year old Wire Fox Terrier, a seven year old Corgi sheltie mix, a three year old dog we just say is a Min Pin thing, or Miss Crazy. We also have a cat named Mr. Frankie. Yes, this might explain why, as I write, you will see animals in my stories.
We live in Oklahoma, a strange land which is ruled by conservative reactionaries who hate Pagans and Harry Potter. (How do I survive?) I was raised on an acreage in the seventies by two of the coolest parents any one could have.
I have always had a soft spot for Snape. He was and is the most complex character in the HP series. I like the idea that a man who has been so foul can be redeemed.
I am an avid Science fiction/ fantasy reader and love the Melusine/Virtu books by Sarah Monette. I am also a fan of Mercedes Lackey, Tanith Lee and Sara Douglass.
The Pen name tambrathegreat, came from my step-kids when we would play video games together. They didn't like the boring old Tambra I would put so they made me use that name. It's become something of a family joke, and I, in no way desire to conquer the world (well not too much.) I am a little bit of a diva, however.

Several people have asked abou the order of my post DH stories, so I will list them. I call them The Slytherin Redemption Series (without a bit of hubris.) According to information released after DH by JKR, these stories are AU. They were not when I started them. They are listed in the order they should be read.
ABSOLUTION: Gregoy Goyle, Father Ian Cavanaugh. Written for the Final Prophecy's Chistmas After Hogwarts Challenge. Third Place winner. (Before you ask, there were only four entries.)
PENANCE: Draco, Harry Poter, Scorpius Malfoy and loads of Original Characters. Draco's been released from Azkaban after six years confinement. The story is a tragedy, so be warned. There is not a happy ending.
SALVATION: Draco Malfoy, Scorpius Malfoy, Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Hermione Granger, Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson-Zabini, Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa Malfoy, Padma Patil, the same Original Characters as in Penance.. Scorpius' mother has been dead five years. Wil Draco ever find the love he needs to survive the post Voldemort era? And what happened with Lucius during the war? Whose side was he really on?
MISS PATIL TAKES A HOLIDAY: Padma Patil, Lucius Malfoy, Draco Malfioy, Ian Cavanaugh, Liz and Toby Cowell, Scorpius Malfoy and Narcissa Black. Lucius is released from Azkaban after twelve years in prison. Narcissa has left him, and Draco has married a Muggle. What's a former Death Eater to do? And how does Padma Patil fit into the Picture?
SUNDAY: Blaise Zabini, Pansy Parkinson-Zabini. A day in the life of this couple. Should be read concurrent with Chapter 7 of Salvation.
FREEDOM: Lucius Malfoy. Lucius' thoughts on his life. RATED MATURE for a reason. Do not read if you are under 17. Should be read concurrent with chapter 14 of Salvation.
FORGIVENESS: Severus Snape, Original Characters, other cannon characters appear mainly in flashback. After being rescued by Aberforth Dumbledore from the Shrieking Shack during the Battle of Hogwarts, Snape flees to the United States, where he takes on a new identity and new responsiblities.
I am planning on a story about Blaise and Pansy and one about Percy Weasley. Sorry all you Narcissa fans, I can't stand her and will get rid of her.
I write OC's into my stories. I do not use Mary Sues, not even in parody. I hate that type of character. My characters have flaws, not so perfect bodies, tempers and inappropriate senses of humor. Sometimes they are not too likeable, and they never have all the answers. Not everyone finds them attractive and no one wants to be them. I have been told my OC's are characterized well.
