I've written a lot of fanfics, and I'm still in in the process of writing more. My favorite manga at the moment is Rurouni Kenshin. I choose to follow the manga storylines of all manga/animes. I feel that mangas are much more original, and actually go along with what the author really had on mind, considering that they wrote it. The anime leaves out too much and adds too many fillers. Half the episodes don't follow the storylines at all. Also, so much of the story isn't even animated. In Ruroken, the Jinchuu arc isn't animated at all. That isn't my favorite arc, but it is my second favorite. I refuse to believe Seisouhen since it completely strays from the storyline.

Funny Test: (trust me, this is really funny when you're finished and see the answer. Try it!)
