I guess that I'm supposed to tell about myself, so here goes...
Name: Obviously, Avari Nessa Diego. Before you ask, no its not my real name, but I ain't gonna tell you that, so tough.
Age: 17, most of the time. I suppose that I can be a bit childish at times, but hey, it happens to the best of us.
Location: USA. So, when I start writing my own Harry Potter stories...eventually...please, those of you who live in the countries that will be in my writing, correct me if I get something wrong.
Favorite books: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pride and Predjudice, The Stand, Black Beauty, The Jungle Book. Plus, 101 Ways to Prank, Annoy, and Embarass your friends and enemys by Sean Jones (I made that up by the way)
Favorite movies: There's alot, so brace yourselves...First, I like all those mentioned above in the 'favorite books' section. Plus, I like Flight of the Phoenix, Sahara, Night at the Museum, National Treasure I&II, Independence Day, Jurassic Park I&II, The Day After Tomorrow, The Core, Armagedon, Stomp the Yard, all of the Fast and the Furious movies, and...well honestly, I could go on forever, but I won't.
Favorite Music/bands: Relient K, DC Talk, Fallout Boy, T-Bone, FM Static, Casting Crowns, Kutless, Mercy Me, Nickleback, Skillet, Simple Plan, and Grits.
Favorite colors: Red and Green. Now I know what you Harry Potter fans are thinking, but het, what can I say. I say, I'm a snake in the lions den. (I love that saying)
First kiss: Psh, like I'm gonna tell you that. Honestly...
First car: a, cherry red, Ford Mustang. Although, that was the first out of...uh...well alot. God, I'm such a great driver...what...you don't believe me...well, I am appalled and...ok, you win. For real though, I am a pretty good driver. I just got my second car. Its a '92 Ford Festiva that is an ugly blue-green color. but it has a new clutch, so it should last quite a while. The Ford Mustang is acually my sister's car...I just wish it was mine.
OK, now, fanfiction that I like...um...mostly Harry Potter, some Lord of the rings, Stargate SG-1, X-men(it has to be very well written, though), and a few crossover stories.
First, my pet peeves when it come to fanfiction...
I hate, I repeat, HATE it when you find a good story and you really get into it, only to find that a few months later, the author stops updating. At first you're thinking, 'it's ok, I'm sure that they will be back and they will finish because they didn't say that they were abandoning it' So you keep going back for weeks, but they never update it as if they dissapeared. I can understand if they are really sick, or had to move, or died, or something. But then they come back saying that they had school or work or whatever. Now I know that school and work is impotant, and it wouldn't bother me so much if author would at least let their readers know that they will be busy for a while or that they can't finish their stories. Honestly, it takes like two minuets, at the most, to just say, 'hey, not gonna be able to update for a while.' You don't even have to say why, if you don't want to. If its your personal life nobody else has to know. Not only will this save time for us readers, but if the author is planning to continue the story, then it will save them from losing readers. I know that when I finally get my own stories up and going, that I will try to follow my own advice.
Ok, now that I'm done ranting for now, I will tell what is going on with my stories...
I will write mostly Harry Potter and maybe even a few crossovers. I can tell you now that most of them wont even start going up untill after the new school year begins. I will be gone most of the summer, but I will be working on my first one on paper while I am out of town. I will try to give you a detailed summery of a couple of them so that I konw if you are interested or not. I will also put up a few of my ideas as challenges as there are some that I don't think that I could write quite yet.
So, when it comes to Harry Potter fanfiction...
I dislike...
Slash- now I have nothing against homosexuals in general, I just don't see it happen in the Harry Potter stories. But this is a FANFICTION site, so I'm not going to be one of those people who tell you to die if you do like it, in fact, if you do like it, then by all means read(or write) it as much as you wan't. Just don't suggest it to me, cause I won't read it and I probably wont write it either. You see, I’m not really around that kind of stuff living in a small town. Therefore, I'm not gonna know much about it anyway.
Harry/Ginny and Harry/Hermione- Once again, I have nothing against those who do like these pairings, but I don't like them myself. Hermione because she seems more like Harry's sister to me. Ginny…well she just rubs me the wrong way. I like her character and all, but It seems like she always liked Harry for his fame up until Harry’s fifth year. And I don’t think that Harry should suddenly like her like that after ignoring her for five years. Personally, that was the only part of Half Blood Prince that I didn't like. Again, I like Ginny, just not as Harry’s girlfriend.
Weak/Stupid/Unprepared Harry- I, like many other fanfiction writers out there, think that there is more to 'the power the dark lord knows not' then just 'love'. I think that love may be part of it, but it can't be all. Personally I think that after everything that Harry has been through already that he would, at least, suffer from PTSD(Post Tramatic Stress Disorder) and maybe even a slight case of insanity. Not only that but you would think that after Harry's first two years at Hogwart, both of which where, Voldemort nearly kills him, that he would at least start training himself for the next time. I have no problem with what JK Rowling did in her books, in fact, I like most of them and still read them from time to time, but in every good book or story you read, there is going to be something that you want to change to fit your personal taste.
OK, now that the...unpleasent...stuff is over with, onto what kind of fan fiction I do like...
Independent Harry/Mulipuative Dumbledore- more and more throughout the books I have noticed that Dumbledore was more and more sneaky and always in every situation. Now, obviously, in the books it wasn't a bad thing, but to me it just seem like he was really controlling and mulipuative when it came right down to it, especially with Harry. Now, don't get me wrong, I like the old man and I will still read some stories where he isn't like that, but he is such a mystery that, really, you can do anything with that character. Also, not all of my own stories will be like that, but there will be some.
Dark Harry-I like these because they usually show the Slytherin side of Harry, as he does have one, and yet he doesn't turn evil. I will read most of these as long as Harry still shows human feelings in the end.
Vampire Harry- Unfortunetly, good vampire Harry stories are very rare. For most, either they look good, but cut off after a few chapters, or they are good ideas, but badly written. So if you know of a few good Vampire Harry stories out there, please, let me know.
As for pairings anything that is well written and isn't the ones I mentioned above in the dislike section.

Sorry that I have been gone for so long, but I ended up going to Chile this summer and I spent alot of time raising money for it. I have been working on two stories also. I will try to post a chapter for AWAD and my second story by Friday or Saturday. Again, I can't promise anything, but I will be trying.
