"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.

"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."

"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.

"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."

A poor fool indeed is he who adapts a manner of thinking for others! My manner of thinking stems straight from my considered reflections; it holds with my existence, with the way I am made. It is not in my power to alter it; and were it, I'd not do so. Marquis de Sade

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it. Jack Handey

I am free of all prejudices. I hate everyone equally. W.C. Fields

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. Albert Einstein

What the world needs is more geniuses with humility, there are so few of us left. Oscar Levant

The more the universe seems comprehensible, the more it also seems pointless. The effort to understand the universe is one of the very few things that lifts human life a little above the level of farce, and gives it some grace of tragedy. Steven Weinberg

The best thing for being sad," replied Merlin, beginning to puff and blow, "is to learn something. That's the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then - to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn." T.H. White

We are starstuff, contemplating the stars. Organised assemblages of ten billion billion atoms pondering the evolution of atoms. We are the universe contemplating itself. Carl Sagan

I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are. Dr.House

We are selfish-based animals crawling across the earth, but 'cause we've got brains, if we try really hard, we can usually aspire to something that is less than pure evil. Dr.House

My chronic nastiness and obdurate refusal to look on the bright side of things goes far beyond garden-variety misanthropy. Joe Queenan

Phasing out the human race will solve every problem on earth, social and environmental. Dave Foreman

Pain is inevitable. Suffering is optional. Haruki Murakami

If you haven’t got anything nice to say about anybody, come sit next to me. Alice Roosevelt Longworth

I have the true feeling of myself only when I am unbearably unhappy. Franz Kafka

People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day. Winnie The Pooh

I never apologize. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I am. Homer J. Simpson

Some people care too much, I think it's called love. Winnie the Pooh

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. He decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway.

He grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer looked down the well. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!

NOW

Enough of that crap . . . The donkey later came back, and bit the farmer.

The gash from the bite got infected and the farmer eventually died in agony from septic shock.

MORAL FROM TODAY'S LESSON:

When you do something wrong, and try to cover your ass, it always comes back to bite you.
