February 2013 Update:
In case it wasn't obvious, yes I've jumped ships and fandoms and no, I don't intend to finish my stories. They were an enjoyable part of my younger days, but I don't think I'm going back. Please take my stories and finish them as you see fit, you get free rein. When you have done so, please message me - I'd love to read what other people have come with!
Obviously this means that you in no way need to follow my plot, but if you want to read what I had intended to happen, here are a few plot summaries:
Cold Covers: Slice of Life/Gen/Slow build - I don't know, I totally forgot the point of this story. I really don't think I had one.
See You Around, Mutou-San: Yami and Mokuba and eventually Seto build a family with Yugi and his grandpa. They escape Gozaburo and Yugi and Yami get slice of life/slow build.
Just Like the Rain: Yugi and Yami rebuild their relationship. Their parents find out, and eventually their dad disowns Yami so he can marry Yugi.
Power to Live: Court case, Atem and Yugi try to build up their defense, Yugi tries to get emancipated so it's less awkward, Yugi convinces his friends to help him. Then Atem disappears from his jail cell and shows up a few days later where he dramatically dies by releasing all of his magic because he was always meant to sacrifice himself for the world. Yugi unlocks his powers in his grief and learns to control time. Years later, present day normal Yugi stops time god!Yugi from destroying the world and Yugi reunites with Atem in death while present day Yugi realizes his own value and potential (This is after Atem leaves for the afterlife).
To be honest, this story is a bit more complicated than that. I had originally planned for this to be part of a greater world, Reverse Psychology, in which Atem not only has his past Egyptian life, but also a Mesopotamian one, Roman one, all of the great civilizations. All of the fantasy AUs I had planned are really Atem's different selves realizing their destiny where they sacrifice themselves for the world because he's always had way too much power. Basically, if he dies at the end like Atem does with the Millennium Puzzle and Zorc, it's part of this world.
For Reverse Psychology, Yugi meets a guy named Kyo who is actually Atem's new Japanese self, and Kyo leads Yugi through Atem's tombs to unlock and put to rest all of his past selves before dying to resurrect Atem's true self, who knows only that he has been used as a world-balancing thing for all of eternity and he has no relationship with Yugi. This new Atem, who has been truly reborn as himself rather than another "self" learns that he has been brought back for one final sacrifice from which he cannot return from, and decides to tear down the heavens and the gods. Yugi has to convince him not to while learning to deal with this new person who he has never met and has demons and problems and bitterness he's never seen before.
Thieves of Egypt: Atem and Bakura steal cursed artifacts for their magic so they can come back to life, but they end up causing a lot of chaos and deaths and negative consequences. Basically, after Atem goes to afterlife, Yugi vs Atem.
Egypt's treasures - the Odyssey: This one's fun - Adult Yugi has been dragged to Ancient Egypt to deal with a bratty, horrible young Atem and eventually they become very close, though Atem's still disrespectful and think he can just boss Yugi around and order him to be intimate with him, blah blah blah. One day, Yugi argues with Atem again and when he touches the Puzzle, grown-up, after he goes back to Afterlife, Atem shows up and kicks bratty Atem's ass. Also saving the world from Zorc.
The second plot is Yugi finds out that Atem's a mermaid, so fishy hijinks where he and the gang has to find treasures of the deep while protecting Atem from people who want to profit from having a mermaid around. Eventually Atem stops being a mermaid and regains the ability to speak, and disappears after they're done collecting. Cute plot to balance out the darker and more serious one.
Boy and The Beast: Please Love Me Not: Yugi's dad is a Nubian rebel leader, and the pharaoh invites Yugi to study at the palace so he can have a hostage against Yugi's father. Yugi and Atem become closer while Yugi's father becomes more and more of a threat and start openly attacking. Atem threatens the father with Yugi's life and the father attacks the palace himself. Lots of people die, including the father, but Yugi and Atem survive and Yugi stays with Atem because he has nowhere else to go. At the end, all of Nubia is now the pharaoh's, and very dubious morals because politics and ancient history. Yugi realizes that there is no right, but refuses to fade away, and instead takes advantage of what he does have to try and do good with it regardless.
Switching Places: For YGO fanfictions, it used to be that I'd either make up situations but no plot, plot but no character development/angst fluff, or a story would entirely escape from me because I bit off more than I could chew. This was one of the latter ones. The idea is that Yugi and Atem keep changing places and lives, but both are equally inept at all of it, and I don't know if Atem knows Yugi or if he's just a ghost now, or...yeah, but I basically wanted universe-ripping and destruction and far too much power in the world so in the end Yugi and Atem each destroy half of their souls so that the world balances out again, which leads to the Millennium Puzzle and how they complete each other and stuff. (That last bit I just made up, I actually have no clue where I was going initially with this story).
Shadow Games 101: Also another one that escaped me and one that I had no idea how to end. I just wanted GX shenanigans and Atem running away and hiding from Yugi alot while being a badass Professor when he didn't have to hide and run. Also, teaching teenagers how to make shadow games cannot possibly be a good idea. Have at it what you will.
Pouring My Heart to A Figure Of Stone: Originally this story was just going to be really sad with Yugi wasting away by a statue of Atem and being this tragic character. But I can do better than that now. Obviously Atem is now a god, but gods are dying out these days with no one to believe in them, so Yugi is compelled unconsciously to worship in front of Atem's statue for Atem, but it causes him to waste away and be a tragic character. Eventually, Atem realizes this and breaks the spell to let Yugi go, and Yugi returns to life and being a well-made, developed and complex 3D character. Up to you for the ending.
My Name Is My Lover's Name: Yugi, who's got bad unrequited love for Atem, brings Atem back to life by giving up 18 years of his own life. However, Atem doesn't know and slowly starts being a better Yugi than Yugi ever was, and Yugi has to fight his feelings of jealousy and self-worth. Slow build/happy ending?
His Majesty, Sleeping Beauty: Yugi learns of his and Atem's darker past lives and has to deal with his doubts after he saves Atem and Atem becomes ruler again while Bakura's influence slowly starts taking over the land. Basically royalty AU and happy ending after they fight the darkness of Bakura and Zorc.
Life At Sword's Point: Atem and Yugi are on opposite sides of a huge civil war and because Atem's connected to the land itself, he slowly loses himself to the bloodlust and his own grief and at the end, he becomes a monster that destroys Yugi's army and rapes and kills Yugi. At the end, Atem loses consciousness and falls asleep in the castle, and Yugi becomes the darkness inside of it.
Geisha of Fire: This is Rape Of NanKing/WWII fic, so read up if you don't know it. Atem is a Chinese prostitute during the Japanese war, and Yugi becomes an unwilling spectator to history in the making. Atem's lover is a kind-hearted Japanese officer Muto Yugi who is killed for showing mercy to the Chinese and Yami rushes off to war and gets killed. Yugi is pulled back to his own time after Yami dies.
Enemies of the Heart: I...have no clue. At all. I wanted strong independent female/trans character in Yugi and Yugi and Atem antagonizing each other and being sassy and falling in love that way, but I also had an idea where Atem runs this school and each person is a particular suit in a pack of cards, and Yugi beats Atem and becomes his right hand..."girl" and since I'm not going to write that one either, at least putting these two together will give a point to this story.
Crossfire: Yugi and Yami solving crimes together, like Bones.
Chasing Cars: No clue. I just wanted a story with pretty scenery and this is what I came up with. If it helps, you could make it a YGO/ATLA crossover because I pictured all of it very similar-looking to the Northern and Southern Water Tribes.
Battling the Weak: Atem and Seto fall in love with patients Yugi and Joey. Cliche doctor/patient love story. Slay me with feels! The weak isn't a reference to the patients, it's to the weaker parts of Atem and Seto who were at first too scared to be with Yugi and Joey because they didn't think it'd be worth it with Yugi and Joey potentially dying anytime soon.
Athenian Manhood: The rest of the story was just going to be Yugi and Tea becoming friends very slowly and healthy polyamorous relationship.
All's Fair In Love and War: Atem rescues Yugi and recruits him to be a spy, which leads Yugi to leading a very dangerous life and Atem feeling very guilty and sad about using Yugi's feelings for him and their relationship to win a war by throwing Yugi to the wolves essentially, again. Basically, big war story.
Allies And Enemies: You find out that Len got turned to a vampire because he was killed when he was a rider and Adam died in a suicide mission out of grief when Len died. I think in the end you could just make Adam the main villain against that one rider that's supposed to be with Len and end it happy. I don't know, just throw in lots of feels.
LEGION OF SUPER HEROES:
Beating Veins and Shifting Pulses: This story's a bit complicated. Brainy, Clark and Ken bond and everything's happy in the beginning, though still a bit suspicious. A Coluan tries to take Brainy's child Ken away from Brainy. Brainy takes out his new super mecha suit to fight, but gets overpowered. Ken saves his mother by using his powers, revealing that he has Superman DNA. Brainy lies and says that, as an experiment, he used Coluan DNA and Superman DNA to make Ken. Clark is furious that Brainy did this, and also overwhelmed because Ken is so much Clark's child. When Clark confronts Brainy, Lois finds out about Brainy and Superman and leaves Superman. When Superman goes back to his time, he finds that the entire house is empty and that Lois and Eliza are gone. When Clark tries to see Eliza, he finds out that it was never his kid, and returns to Brainy heartbroken. Clark intends to stay for good since if he's got no real family left, at least he has this artificial one. Brainy forces Clark to go back to his own time, but Ken goes after Clark. Superman has to fight Brainiac One dealing with the revelation that Ken is actually his biological child, not experiment. Eventually, Brainy and Ken help Superman defeat Brainiac One, and stay to build a family. They have a sassy little girl named London after that, and then another little boy after that. Clark gets to be there for his other children's births, though there's a scare when there are complications during the pregnancies. They fix the problem by building huge columns to act like a womb because Brainy's body is too unstable. Both London and the little boy are grown this way. Ken was also developed this way, but Brainy had time to prepare back then. For London and the little boy, it was Ken who had to build the chambers. Brainy and Ken spend half their time in the future and half their time with Clark.
For Hetalia, I had a lot of ideas, but I never wrote them out or gave them titles. If you find one that tickles your fancy, feel free!
Rivers Run Red: China rediscovers himself and his nation by trekking all over while the other nations search for him and in absense, their hearts grow fonder.
Please Save Me, Chairman Mao: China and Japan rebuild their relationship during the end of WWII, Mao's rule, and after Mao's death and under Deng XiaoPing. Basically, a historical fic to end with hopeful present-day epilogue.
- During the apocalypse, in which the whole world is flooded, China sacrifices himself for Japan, who has to lead Asian nations to safety while dealing with his own guilt. China reappears as a little boy (like Nezha) to help out, but when they reach safety, China's body disappears. China tells Japan to wait for China in their old home. One night, after many years, Japan goes back to China's home to find a ten-year old boy dutifully doing homework in the house before turning to Japan and saying welcome home.
-China teaches Japan how to fight again.
-To stop all this romance drama, America orders everyone to pair up and get married. China and Japan hold out to the end, when everyone finds out they've been married for a while already.
-Kiku meets Yao through mutual friends and fall in love, until its revealed that Kiku is Prince of Japan. He convinces Yao to go with him back to Japan, where his parents scold him for not thinking of what Yao would want to do. They break up and Yao returns sadly back to America. Kiku's little sister runs away to America and stays with Yao for a while. Eventually, Kiku and Yao reconcile and Yao becomes a doctor in Japan to stay with Kiku.
-Kiku is mad scientist who has lots of women from different countries and cultures but similar IQ bear him children. No, I'm not kidding.
-On the anniversary of Japan attacking China during WWII, Yao is a police officer who has to break up 400 Japanese businessmen and 500 Chinese prostitutes. The mafia get involved and in the scuffle, Yao mistakes Kiku as someone dangerous and kills him due to high nerves and having been shot at for the last hour. Yao holds Kiku as he dies and Kiku's ghost follow Yao after that, helping him solve crimes while Yao tries to help Kiku rest. Yao finds out that Kiku had a crush on Alfred, who's attracted to Yao. Yao agrees to let Kiku use his body to say goodbye to Alfred, though it doesn't work out that way. Arthur, who was in love with Kiku, tracks them down as well, and it gets very awkward until Yao intervenes and gets Arthur and Alfred work out their problems. They say goodbye to Kiku. On a case, Yao gets killed saving a Japanese businessman, and the two decide to haunt Arthur and Alfred after that.
