Author has written 10 stories for Myst/Riven, Chronicles of Narnia, and Babylon 5. I'm Lutra, I'm a junior in college, and I write fanfiction. I read it, too, when I should be doing homework, but in college no one actually does homework when they are supposed to anyway. Most of college, I think, is just 101 Ways to Avoid Doing Your Homework. Then we somehow pass and get a degree for not doing our homework. And then eventually we get jobs and maybe still write fanfic, because fanfic writers/readers are dorks (and awesome people, of course) at heart and age doesn't really matter where dorkiness is involved. After all, dorks are the only true people in the universe, when it comes down to it...because they are unafraid to express themselves and wear fandom shirts and go to conventions and, of course, sit down and write fanfic. This lack of fear and conformity to society is probably why dorks will someday take over the world. The rest of the world is so busy trying to keep up with fashion trends that they won't even notice when nerds hack into their computers and reprogram their TVs and all those losers who read and write fanfic have gotten so good at writing they take over the press in a 1984-like manner and the next thing you know, we're living under a society ruled by dorks, nerds, geeks, etc. and society will all be wearing fandom shirts and won't be afraid to express themselves.
