Author has written 54 stories for Harry Potter. Author's Note: Having graduated from high school and, as such, spent quite a bit of time pondering that incredible but scary thing known only as 'the future', I have decided that I am no longer going to post my Harry Potter fanfiction on this account. I will still be writing sporadically (or perhaps a little more frequently at times), but all of my new work will be posted will be posted to my alternate account, firstbreaths. All work there will be public, and all work here will be left for posterity's sake. I'd like to thank everyone who made my time as "Cuba" worthwhile - my friends, my reviewers, and anyone else who took the time to encourage me along my personal writing journey in some way. You guys know who you are and I thank you for your contributions more than you can ever know. Introduction I'm Cuba, a sixteen year old Australian with an addiction to fandom and coffee, just like half the people around here. I'm a newly graduated member of the class of 2010, a future demographer and/or author, and a dreamer. I like cupcakes, the smell of the ocean, the CAPSLOCK button and that fuzzy feeling you get when you receive letters in the mail. I've been addicted to Harry Potter since I was eight and I devoured all four books that were published at the time within two weeks, leaving me with nothing to read for the next month of holidays. I first found fandom in early 2007, about three months before the Deathly Hallows release. Since then, I've written a lot of fanfic (some of which is too shameful to be found here), and had a great time, especially with my awesome Reviews Lounge friends - you guys know who you are; ilu. In the Harry Potter fandom, my OTP is Remus/Tonks, and I'm known for being a bit of a MWPP era/First Order junkie. That said, I'll write anything that takes my fancy at the time, and I'm not afraid to experiment with different characters, hence the myriad of characters and ships you see below. I'm also a television and literature junkie, and write for other fandoms including: Bones, House, Doctor Who, Merlin, The Big Bang Theory, Greek, Glee, Chuck, Firefly, The Office and The West Wing. I, Cuban Sombrero, do solemnly swear to review all the fics I read, regardless of the number of reviews, its age, or anything else. I have joined the review revolution. I've been a part of this revolution since I joined the Reviews Lounge in 2007, and I honestly think it's one of the most worthwhile things I've been a part of since I became a part of fandom. Basically, the Reviews Lounge started off as a C2 community run by Lexie-H to promote under-reviewed fics. It started off as a small community, and has since grown into one of the biggest forums on ff.net, thanks mostly to our dedicated members, who've really done a great job to promote reviewing. I was a member of the mod team from 2007 - 2010, and Head Mod from September 2008 onwards. During my time there, I was fortunate to meet some of the most amazing authors the Harry Potter fandom has to offer, and some of the most amazing people as well. Unfortunately, the forum had to be shut down in January 2010, due to time commitments of the mods and the growing disinterest in Harry Potter fic, generally. Since then, a good friend of mine, Wendy Brune, has started a multi-fandom version of the RL, which you can find here.
