Author has written 17 stories for Law and Order: CI. I have been reading fanfic for about 3 or 4 months now, and have enjoyed the stories. The more I read, the more the ideas tumbled into my head and I couldn't get them out...so I decided to try my hand at writing. Both my husband and myself were born and raised in Minnesota. He is a trucker, and we would leave Minnesota in -40 degree temps, deliver in Arkansas in +40 degree temps. For us, it was a no brainer. We were tired of the long, cold winters. We live on 2 1/2 acres just North of Alma (considered the foothills of the Ozark Mountains). Love this area, it reminds me a lot of Minnesota. Charlieboy is what I chose to call myself. I had a quarter/morgan horse, who was named Charlie, but I dubbed him Charlieboy. Although he now decorates someone else's pasture, he was a delight to have in mine for about five years. Currently, I have two yearlings. Easter, we raised ourselves (as the momma died seven hours after he was born). We know he is part Welsh/Haflinger, the other part, we're not sure, we're guessing quarter horse. He has a definite Napoleon attitude, and rules the roost...or so he thinks. Lily, is the Tennessee Walker we bought in November, 2006, so Easter could see how a horse is suppose to behave. She now towers over Easter, and can push him around pretty good. Tommy, our 12 year old black lab. Of course, what would the barn be without cats? Our neighbor's black cat adopted us and gave us 3 kittens this Spring. Never thought I'd see the day that a 100 pound dog could be pushed around by a four ounce kitten! I have been working at a non profit alcohol / drug treatment center for over 22 years. Man, the stories I could write! My job is basically dealing with numbers, and writing fanfic has been a delight to be able to write about people and human nature. What's better, it's about two of my favorite characters! We have one son. He's 14 years and stands about 6 foot 2 inches (I'm 5 foot 6 inches; my husband is 6 foot). He is an easy going boy with a kind heart. My hobbies include, drawing, painting, photography...but they seem to over shadowed with fanfic. Maybe there's a good 12 Step Program out there for things like this. LOL 10/19/08 Time to update my profile! I am now the Director of the alcohol/drug treatment center. Now if people would do what I think they should, it would be great! I have added an older horse to our barn. His name is Grandpa, he's somewhere between 21 and 26 years old. He needs to gain about 400 pounds (when we brought him home, you could play his ribs like a xylaphone. His ribs are slowly disappearing, but his hips and flanks are still needing some meat on them. He is a kind old man, and seems to be pretty content with his new home. Jake, our son turned 16 this month, and we celebrated our 31st anniversary. We have decided to give it another 31 years. 11/2/09 Wow! A year has gone by since I last updated my profile. First, I want to thank all that have read my stories. Especially recently, as I have not gotten on Fanfic for months, and normally I write a response thanking individuals for their kind words. Thank you, it is appreciated!! Second, work had gotten so stressful, and like many others, my husband lost his job. He has fortunately found another-after 5 months, for which we're both grateful. Jake has since turned 17 and has his driving permit (did I mention that things got stressful at home?). I don't know if I am ready for my baby to be driving! I have been debating as to whether or not to continue to write. Or, at least finish my current story. I am going to give it a few more months and see if during that time I get motivated. I also am competing for the computer with my son...also, after a day at work...sigh. But, I'll try.
