Author has written 18 stories for Warcraft, Final Fantasy VII, Earthbound, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy: Tactics, Double Dragon, Mega Man, and Xenosaga. Hi, Matt Perrett here. I enjoy writing short fiction and one-shots, with my longest work to date clocking in at 85 pages. I'm frequently inspired by unusual situations in the games I play or videos I watch, and most of my comedy shorts are a direct result of something that tickled my funny bone. A quick look at my story list will show that I typically write very light or very dark without much middle ground, though I do also enjoy examining the fine line between humor and horror. I don't like to settle on one game or genre, and currently have ideas for comedies for Xenosaga, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Kingdom Hearts. As an amateur writer seeking to go pro, I'm constantly working to improve my craft, so constructive criticism is immensely appreciated. I recently returned to the US after living and working in Japan as an English teacher for AEON for 15 months. Now that I'm back and have more free time, I'm trying to be as prolific as I can and get as many ideas as possible out of my head and on paper.
