I have now returned home and was happy to find that the overall damage to my home caused by Hurricane Ike was a great deal less that the rest of my neighborhood, however the damage that was sustained was rather costly. The patio area in the back was totally destroyed and several 2x4s smashed through my garage door, ironically where I stored my computer and other electronics for safe keeping before I skipped town. The computer is a complete waste, as is all the information stored on it. As a result, I have lost everything I've already written for my various fics as well as the outline and first seven chapters of a novel I'm writting.

On the plus side, I've recently picked up a laptop and am currently trying to recreate everything I've lost. Most of my time outside of work will be spent doing just that. I'll update you in a week or two if there is any significant progress, until then, thank you for your patience.
