Author has written 3 stories for Prince of Tennis. UPDATED: 2009 11月 6日 I am fully aware that I am such a sloth to do such these (Hah. Yeah right.). Pardon for its mess for the past few days. But either way, you guys are welcome. Betsuni ikedo (Gee, I always wanted to say that). WARNING: The following may contain several stuffs you might not like. But, if you're: (1) a fanfiction (dot) net writer/author, (2) a Prince of Tennis/Tennis no Oujisama lover/writer, (3) a RyoSaku shipper, (4) a bishie lover, (5) a fangirl, (6) a Echizen Ryoma, Ryuuzaki Sakuno, Fuji Syuusuke, and Kirihara Akaya lover, (7) or ALL of the the ones mentioned before...then welcome. I think we're destined to meet. (Just so you know, I like the number seven more than six. Hah. So random, I know.) Well, BE WARNED! Okay, okay. Let's get this over with. RANDOM (and/or essential) things YOU might want to know about the owner of this profile: (Note: As you can see, the owner of this profile aims for a more...say, matured profile. Not that it's of prime importance. She just love to see her profile growing, since her writing career sucks as of this moment. XD) .o. Her pen name's Kemi. Of course, pen names are...well, pen names. If you're dying to know what her real name is, shoot yourself first. :)) .o. The first statement is irritating, hellyeah. But, nevertheless, you wouldn't know her real name just for the sake of knowing it. .o. Her fanfiction friends calls her akemi-chan / Kemi (since...duh, it's her pen name). She likes making up fancy names, and she loves it when you give her a 'nickie' too...yep, to the point of being stupid because of those. XDD .o. Officially allowed to join this site. Yes, yes, we've been through all that...blah blah. Whatever. .o. She's a second-year college student (now, have an idea what her age might be? Hohoho. Well, whatever your guess is, it's wrong. :P) and dying because of the S-word. Well, she's an 'okay' student. Not that great and not really a moron. Average, eew. .o. She is kind to those people kind enough to her. Reciprocity is one of the things she value the most. .o. Currently a forum member / visitor of 'Imagination: Unleashed,' 'POT stands for Pointless but Original Talking,' 'RyoSaku L Squad Productions', and 'Que Sera Sera Gakuen'. .o. Yep, she's an author. Why else would she be in this site if she's not? .o. The aforementioned statement might be true. And specifically, she's the type of writer who's willing to wait for one to two years just to get her momentum in writing. .o. A proud Christian, Filipino and an Echizen RYOma x Ryuuzaki SAKUno shipper. What? Got a problem with that? .o. She particularly loves Echizen Ryoma, Fuji Syuusuke, Kevin Smith, Takishima Kei, Natsume Hyuuga, Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan, Kaitou Kid (Kuruba Kaitou), Kirihara Akaya, Killua Zaoldyeck, Sendoh Akira, Tamaki Hiroshi, Near (Nate River), L Lawliet, Nishikido Ryo, Chinen Yuri, Yamada Ryosuke, Morimoto Ryutaro and all others to pieces. WHO ARE THEY? Well, just so you know, they're collectively known as bishounens/bishies. To the words of her Mommy Ariane (known here as astraldrop11): "the drool-worthy beings." Still don't have any idea about them? Then, google it. Oh, and yea, she absolutely adores Ryuuzaki Sakuno for being cute and clumsy at the same time. Her cuteness is THE BOMB. So, if you want Sakuno to disappear in PoT Anime series/OVA/whatever, you're practically digging up your own grave, hun. .o. She prefers het pairings over yaoi, yuri and shounen-ai (Shinichi • Ran, Heiji • Kazuha, Kogorou • Eri, Machi • Hisoka, Sakura • Syaoran, Eriol • Tomoyo, Ryoma • Sakuno, Momo • An, Horio • Tomoka, Natsume • Mikan, Tamaki • Haruhi, Kei • Hikari, Tadashi • Akira, Yahiro • Megumi, Jun • Sakura, Chiaki • Nodame, Ruka • Hotaru, Akito • Sana, Ryuuji • Taiga, Ranma • Akame). But, of course, she don't have problems with people writing those, just as long as she's not offended (unlike Killua being paired with Gon that pisses her like hell). .o. She greatly value concrits (constructive criticism). But of course, flames with unreasonable statement/s is one of the things she hates. Even if it came from a well-known author/to an author with a good reputation and writing skills. Everybody commits mistakes, that's the basis of her argument on that. .o. She is guilty of defying a dozen (or so) of grammar rules and rules for subject-verb agreement. She don't deny the fact that she's not perfect. Yet, she's absurdly irritated by authors/writers who couldn't be humble enough to accept their mistake/s and improve. Furthermore, she also don't like writers/authors who could be hypocrite enough criticizing others' works and yet they're doing exactly what their critique is all about, and worse denying it. .o. She beta works of other writers (just had her beta profile recently, yes). Oh, but she's pathetic enough to be a beta because she couldn't get on with her own stories. Why? Plot bunnies. Laziness. Laziness. And Laziness. .o. She reviews quite long, especially if she's that prepared in reviewing. But, fortunately, the 'Enter' key is her best friend. So, no worries about getting any eye spasms. :) .o. She tries not to sound hypocrite when reviewing. Because she's still a mada mada dane. .o. She has a destroying zero percent creativity. Yep, her art projects suck. :) .o. In the university she's currently in, it is expected that each student know what plagiarism means. That's why, she would NOT (in any way) get any plot/ideas/story(ies)/quotes that's not hers. Or, if inevitable, would be educated enough to cite her sources, or get a direct permission if she personally know the source. .o. You should know (by now) that a certain percentage of her life (and her time) goes to anime/childish stuffs. Yep. She's that childish. Probably because she didn't go through her childhood stage pretty well. .o. She do like anime, but not much manga, though. She's lazy to read ne? And she finds it dull, too. .o. She acts mature at times and childish when she wants to. Some says that she act mature for her age, and some treats her like a big cry-baby. .o. She loves to write (just way too lazy to do it), and it's her way of venting and sorting out her current mood. But reading would be a different story. The Twilight Saga was the first series that gave hope to her as when she thought she suck in reading long literary pieces. .o. She dreams of writing her fictions with the following fandoms someday: Prince of Tennis, Detective Conan, Hunter-x-Hunter, Special A, Gakuen Alice, Bleach, Ouran High School Host Club, Nodame Cantabile, Kodocha, Death Note, Toradora, Ranma 1/2, Azumanga Daioh and other anime she particularly like. She just hope that it wouldn't remain as dreams forever. :)) .o. She seemed unapproachable, but yes...she's friendly. And won't bite you just as long as you're sensible to talk to or friendly enough to be worth talking to. Okay, scratch that. You could approach her for whatever reason you have. She's friendly enough that even if she don't like what you're talking about/she don't have any idea on what you're saying, she wouldn't be harsh to 'shoo' you off like a dog. She's decent enough to have manners 'ya know? .o. She sucks at remembering names, all the more matching them with faces. Ironic that she has a photographic memory, because she has a short-term memory loss (like Dory. Well, she thinks she has one). So, please bear with her for that. .o. She rants when she wants to. Well, what exactly is she doing now? .o. She's random. And would say all the things she currently have on her mind. But sometimes, she wouldn't say anything at all. That's because she's rather pissed, not interested with what you're blabbing about, or not in the mood for talking. .o. She's moody. Moody in the sense that...one moment, she seemed nice, and the next thing you know...poof. .o. She's tactless...and kind of harsh. And she's really guilty for it. She couldn't seem to get the proper self-control to shut her mouth up, especially when commenting to something/someone she particularly hate. .o. She's a ridiculous perfectionist. Yep. She isn't the type to be contented. But, ironically, she's a hopeless mediocre. YEAH, YEAH. That's something, huh? Perfectionist then a mediocre?? .o. One thing more, she's a perfectionist, then sensitive when she's the one criticized. Well, she accepts concrits, with a heavy heart. :(( .o. She's a pessimist. Really. She practically don't see any good sides of her. .o. She irrevocably loves sleeping. In vacations, this is one thing she don't seem to miss. Her average sleep ranges from four-fourteen hours (NOT exaggerating). HAH. Sleepy head, yeah. This, however, contributes to her laziness, as much as she hate admitting it. .o. She text talk. Especially when in a hurry. But, she's trying her best to get rid of the text talk in her system, since, it's way too...informal. .o. She often sleep talk. Especially when tired. And her roommates make her a laughing stock for that. (And the most random award goes to...-drum roll-) .o. She's a pathetic athlete. You wouldn't even consider putting her name and the word 'sports' on the same sentence. The reason? Simple, because she sucks on that. Yet, she wants to learn tennis. Ugh. And, she's prone and have a hundred percent tendencies on tripping over, even for no reason whatsoever. Zero coordination, ugh. Well, she would love to cheer than being the one cheered for. .o. Her strongest subject is Science (that subject got the highest point in her College entrance exam). Okay, scratch that, she just found out that PHYSICS is her most hated subject of all time. And, like Sakuno, she's kind of bad in English (unfortunately, there's no 'Ryoma' around). .o. She certainly HATES Math. But what can she say? The more you hate, the more you love eh?. .o. She slacks off and even when studying, and the only student she know that requires motivation and momentum (p=m x v, is that right?). .o. She loves to sing, and kind of musically inclined too. Yes, she actually have the sufficient courage to sing in front of an audience (in choirs or not). She dreams of doing a musical in Broadway. And actually, she has the passion of learning piano to fulfill her dreams of playing Yiruma-sama's River Flows in You and Canon, or maybe imitate Juri-san in Nodame Cantabile Live Action. Though, as of the moment, she's still a frustrated pianist. Yea, too bad. .o. She cries to her heart's content when watching dramatic movies/TV series with tragic endings, etc. Yep, she's that sensitive to that kind of things. .o. She's still a 'mada mada dane' in cooking. But, fortunately, she could cook a decent sunny-side-up, scrambled eggs, and fried whatever. .o. She's a good listener, but not of a good speaker. So, simply saying, debates and speeches isn't her forte. .o. When she's not here (active in fanfiction or any of her accounts), or in front of her trusty (but -cough- crappy) laptop, she's either sleeping, procrastinating, STUDYING (that includes reading truckloads of 'readings' from school and doing the cursed thing spelled as 'a-s-s-i-g-n-m-e-n-t' or 'p-r-o-j-e-c-t'), or...well, sleeping. You should know that. .o. Currently, her mind is preoccupied with so many things. School, school, school, JE, JE, JEEEEEE~~~ There. Quite clear no? .o. If all of those didn't move you even a bit, better get out of this profile right now. 'Cause she thinks this isn't healthy for you. :) Q u o t a b l e (but Random) Q u o t e s~ "It is, after all, easier to make a beautiful dumb girl smart than to make an ugly smart girl beautiful." --Love is a Fallacy; Max Shulman “The only thing worst than a loser who cheats is a bad loser who cheats. 11月 6日 THIS. IS. NOT. GOOD. I'm pathetic! I didn't use my semestral break quite well! No, actually it's horrible. I haven't given myself the chance of writing. And really now, lately, it's like writing has been a nuisance to me. Hmm, how should I put this, I feel...pressure than pleasure. It's good to write, see. Improving yourself and all that. But, it's adding pressure to me, instead of breaking those pressure down. REALLY. But of course, this has nothing to do with Bernoulli's principle about pressure. :)) Geez, I'm really pathetic. 10月 24日 Now what? I hope I'm not behind the deadline, but I am. Really. It's like, when I'm on my bed, I have all the ideas, and when I decided to type them...? POOF. Ideas? GONE. It's really pathetic. Added the fact that I'm not yet finished with my fic for the hanakotoba prompt challenge. And Marriage Menace chapter 12 is nowhere near end (we have an outline though, yet it's still not enough). BOO. I'm soooo dead. But, the good news is, I just watched Detective Conan movie 13: The Raven Chaser. And still, Kudo's identity is not yet uncovered. Sheesh. What's with the long story...? x_x U P C O M I N G P R O J E C T S : Quite a lot, eh? Haha. If you ask me, most mentioned below are...well, bolt from the blue. My mind was squeezed when I'm lying on my bed one night, or...when I'm taking a shower. Stupid, huh? Published: 24 October 2009 Completed: 24 October 2009 My official beta-reader for all the stories mentioned above is Polka-chan / Beta-dono. She's just...wow. Oh, but of course, I do consult other writers aside from her. Too many to name them all. :) Note: To all those, standard disclaimers shall apply. But the plots are all mine. I myself couldn't tolerate plagiarism, so pleeease. The titles and summaries mentioned above are still prior to change. Depends on the mood, maybe? Well, wish me luck! XDD PM me if you want your suggestions / comments / concrits to be heard. :) Oh, and of course, vote on the poll. :P It's not easy to write. Well, at least for me/in my case. I'm having my little "writer's dilemma," and honestly, my drafts are...ugh. Pathetic. So please, bear with me. :) R E C O M M E N D E D F I C S / A U T H O R S: For newbies (who happened to be interested in PoT), I would recommend fics. . . well, great fics. . .for me. :)) (This is in no particular order.) .o. The House Husband and Touch Her Not by Hazuki Saiuno .o. Onegai, Tutor! by Kamiyama89 .o. The Chaperone by neko11lover .o. Business Intrigue and Desperation by Jennai .o. Promise? by Pure Essence .o. Contrasting Parallels by Be-ya .o. and many more. . .(gonna add some soon) And, those stories on my favorite list. :)) O P I N I O N S : U N L e a s h E D ( a K e m i - c h a n ' s C o r n e r ) TOPICS: OPINIONS on . . . .o. Reviews - Well, reviews are good motivators for continuing the story ne? Actually, I'm really happy every time I receive one. Whether a concrit or just a plain review. Well, you know what I mean ne? But now, as I see stories with good plots and all that, but lack reviews? Hmm...I have to say that nowadays, reviews couldn't be the sole basis for judging a story, whether it's good or bad. I didn't say it couldn't be a basis, it just that you shouldn't look the number of reviews. Look up the title, summary, sentence construction, plot organization, OC's (if there are any), if OOCness is rampant, etc. Many promising stories lack reviews. And I'm really sad about that. :( But, well, I think those that I'm saying isn't fit for all the readers' tastes ne? Reviews are important. Well, it's not really necessary to give reviews, but to know your perception about the story, you should try giving some no? Wait, now I'm acting like a review whore. :O Okay, okay, the thing is, review can give the author an idea if s/he's doing well, or s/he's just making the fandom cry. Haha. I'm talking nonsense. :P .o. Writer's Block - YEA. The main problem in town. I think, that's my main problem too. As to why I kept 'wandering in the wilderness.' Yes, you could call it as that. I mean...there goes a plot/s, then you're like squealing when you're thinking about it, and when you decided to put it down with pen and paper...poof. It's all gone. It's irritating at times when you seem to forget all that you have in mind. "People have writer's block not because they can't write, but because they despair of writing eloquently." (Anna Quindlen) Do you agree with the quote I just gave you? Soo, the one of the main reasons of writer's block is you being the perfectionist? Ugh. And luckily, I'm that kind of person. So that's why I'm getting that? Okay, maybe this quote would be applicable much yes? "Don't get it right, just get it written." (James Thurber) .o. Mary Sues/Gary Stues - actually, I don't really hate them that much. But, I don't like seeing them either. Well, I'm not perfect. So basically, whether I am aware of it or not, I probably have done this before, when I was a newbie. That is, the one they brand as Mary Sues (Gary Stues have the same characteristics as Mary Sues, only that they are the male version). I think, in my previous story, I had this. Well, they aren't that bad. Actually, all aren't supposed to be bad when not abused. I think, some critiques find it irritating to see Mary Sues, only because the Suethors (those who write Sues) continuously deny it. Well, to you Suethors, if this is your first time, that's but normal. 'Cause usually, those who make Sues are the ones new here, since they barely know, or don't even have any idea on how this site 'roll.' Well, just a suggestion, don't write an OC ('cause mostly this would cause the birth of a Mary Sue) if you're not yet ready. Just a friendly advise. Well, I know I don't have the right to say this (since I'm no longer posting stories of my own), but the thing is, I want to protect fandoms as much as I can. Not in a harsh way, though. I'm trying my best not to do that. It's really unfair, well, for me at least. .o. Flames/Concrits - At first, I thought those two were the same. But, of course, assumptions couldn't always be correct. Hah. Yes, they're entirely different (Duh, obviously, their spellings are not the same, damn it. XDD). Concrit/s (otherwise known as Constructive criticism/s) refers to those reviews given by readers (whether they too are writers or just a plain reader) that contains several facts about the story's real condition. This often comprises truths that you want to impart with the author you're reviewing. And, when you give concrits, you want to help the author in any way you can, just so s/he wouldn't make the fandom miserable and destroyed. And of course, in concrits, it's up to the authors writing the story if s/he would follow the advice or remain ignorant and stick to his/her bad writing. On the other hand, flames are different. When you flame, you do not only bash the story up, but also step on the author's pride and dignity as a writer. It's really brain-washing, that if you receive one, you'd definitely think twice if you'd continue writing or not. It's uncomfortable, if I do say so myself. 'Cause just so you know, I've received that some time ago, discouraging me to write. But, I persevered. That's the difficult part, though. You have to accept everything and deflate your ego, and...start from scratch. .o. Yaoi/Yuri/Shounen-ai - (Sorry for Yaoi/Yuri fans who'd happen to read this, just a warning.) Adam and Eve were the ones created by God weren't they? So, in line with the Bible, I really don't agree much with this. Well, for fun it is, but I don't see any harm in sticking to het pairings. Lack of 'Eves' (applicable much in PoT) in the series, and you think making Yaoi/Yuri is the best way to cure it? I think not. Well, just my opinion though. Although some countries already allow same sex marriages in their nation, still, I do think 'Adam and Eve' is more appropriate than 'Adam and Steve.' .o. Fan Fictions with (especially in PoT fandom) (1) "Horrible structure" and, (2) surpassing the sites guidelines/ToS: (1) - Yep, I've experienced this before. And yet I'm a beta now eh? Well, improvements are always there. You could always enhance your writing skills together with the widening of your vocabulary that would later tend your spelling problems. Yep, that's super effective. Well, as for grammar and punctuation, uh, as they say, all things are learned. It's up to you on how fast you'd improve or how much you will improve. I'm not the best writer you could find. I'm still learning from my own ways, and the ways of others. Actually, I'm trying to mix up the writing style of two of my favorite authors here at ffn. (2) - Hah. Experienced this one too. My last fic (ANI-INTERVIEW), actually is on script format. There, I learned a lesson. Never to pass a story without fully reading it. :)) .o. Alternate Universe (AU) - I have to explain this for sure. Alternate Universe, in my own understanding, are kinds of story(ies) in which you'd literally go to a different universe. So basically, you wouldn't expect anything same with the canon (Canon, btw, refers to plots which are in line with the timetable of the series you're on). 'Cause, mind you, in AU's, time lines are not the only one changed, but the construction of characters as well. If Fuji's going crazy, being a masochist, so what? As long as it's an AU, I think it's fine. Well, you're warned, so don't say, "What kind of story is this? Fuji? A masochist?" Hell no. You chose to READ the story, and it's AU, so you don't have to bother asking why on earth is Fuji a masochist. Or why Sakuno had a dual personality, the good, and the bad one. Or why Ryoma suddenly is cockier. Or why Horio suddenly isn't unibrowed anymore. OOCness is to be expected in this kind of plots. I think, you have to take note of that. Btw, this is a connotative meaning. In case you don't agree with me, fine. Opinions ARE opinions. You don't have to feel guilty if you don't look AU the way I do. :) .o. Alternate Universe VS Future Set - Yes, it's different. x_x .o. Cliched Plots - Actually, there's no such thing as cliched plots, for me that is. Why? Because each writer/author has his/her own writing style. So, unless another author copied the entire thing, I think that wouldn't be cliched at all. TWISTS in story(ies) are the ones that matter. :)) But of course, plagiarism would not be a thing I could tolerate. :P Those are based solely from my opinions and experiences. In case you don't agree with me, that's fine, I won't haunt you for that. Wait, am I making any sense?? M Y L I N K I E S / C O N T A C T S ! ! ! I'm not that difficult to contact. Befriend me, say 'Hi' to me...whatever. I'm just a PM/email away. Don't worry, I won't bite. akemi.chan05@gmail.com (checked for fanfiction purposes. Co-write account/s: mizusenjo02 (a co-write with matsukanishi09) / Special-ee (pronounced as 'Special A'; a co-write with OrangeAce/RoyalDeuce - currently 'Under construction.') Well, that's it. An uberly (and absurdly) long profile. I hope you had fun all the way. And if you managed to get in here, congratulations...you rock. :)) I hope this would be my start of writing something sensible soon. :) Ganbatte to mee~! ~end. . . • Kemi-chii • • 明美 • Post Script: Don't hesitate to even say 'Hi.'
