Hi and welcome to the obligatory brief blurb -
I'm a fanartist before a ficwriter. Things just got out of control and all sense of proportion or reason.
I'm also very very busy trying to graduate art school this year and finish an animated short film. "ACK!" doesn't even begin to cover it.
Hence, best not to expect any updates on my fics in progress until summer vacation. I do know where the T-shirt story is meant to be heading, and have notes and plans to finish it...
What I am still managing to do, just barely, is a weekly fancomic. It's over on DeviantArt, and involves characters from Labyrinth, Phantom of the Opera, and another few assorted fandoms all living chaotically together in the same building. If you like your JS snarky and slapstick with occasional fluff, you might enjoy it.
The Girls Next Door
(and its original inspiration : Roommates, by AsheRhyder.)
Other stuffs:
Stories without words (Labyrinth):
They are haunting, insistent things, images that come with a few forceful lines ringing in my head while I'm drawing, but only give me a glimpse of the whole story.
- Poison Peach Redux
- Uh-oh
- Here's the day you hoped would never come
(this one has inspired Paisley Rose, Chamaelirium, Coffeewench and Anij; Yodeladyhoo's snarky Blame it on the weather, the jaw-dropping work of terrifying--literally--genius that is In a Glass, Darkly by Subtilior -- and KnifeEdge's beautiful The Price of Dreams)
- Untenable
- And in a much, much lighter vein, Envy
(which has contributed to bring about Subtilior's My True Love Gave to Me and, less directly, Lixxle's My Fine Feathered Friend.)
These pictures stand as an open challenge to all writers, if you can find a story for them.
Fanfic illustrations :
for Erlkoenig, by Subtilior : ein Nebelstreif...
for The Possession, by Paisley Rose: "Just a boy, just a girl..."
for He Doesn't See Me, by Chamaelirium : Caoilainn
Notes on 'The Tshirt Incident' : the picture Sarah's Tshirt" is here
The second version of Sarah's Tshirt is here
And "Jareth's Tshirt" is here: link
The wonderfully talented Lily-Fox on DeviantArt did this gorgeous piece of art that she says is for this fic but I say is just like every JS fantasy come true.
Retaliation&Escalation is paused and up to your hot little imaginations for a while. It will be continued in Part Deux, Re-evaluation (or, One Hell of a Hangover) later, when I have something of a life back.
Oh, and you can actually buy the T-shirts! My goodness did this ever get completely out of hand. I now have a CafePress account as Pink Mint Pika
and by the way...
I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE OFFICIAL JS-NESS IN VOL.2! I HATE THAT MANGA!
It's an insult both to manga as an art form and all the wonderful zaniness and mystery of Labyrinth. And that's both my objective opinion as a visual arts student and my not-so-inner fangirl rant. The artwork is really Not.That.Good., and no amount of fanservice will make me forgive that.
