There are times in any writers life that they will say they are embarrassed by older works, and in same cases, I am, but in some cases, I remain proud of them, because they were my beginning days in my adventure of writing. I hope not to be judged by the quality of my older work, and hope to have any and all that I've written enjoyed by any who might enjoy my works. Bullying You don't have to read this, or agree with any of it, but if you do choose to read this, please remain open-minded. This will be my safe place. I ask not to be judged on what I have to say, as I would not judge you by what you might have to say. I ask that you remember that though I may not have been through what you have, or that my pains may seem nothing to you, that it be remembered that every person goes through their own trials and feels pain in a different way. Lets help put an end to bullying. My heart goes out to every single person who has ever been bullied, known the victim of bullying, or lost someone to the suffering of bullying. I myself know the pain of all of this. I wish to give people hope, and let them know that things will get better, and that they will be okay. I wish to tell you, if you are open to listening, to turn your pain into something good, that will help others who are going through the same thing, and to remain strong, because there is a light at the end of a very long tunnel of pain. You will be okay, and you will get through it, and one day you'll look back and say hey...I made it through and I am stronger for it. A lot of hate crimes and bullying are done unknowingly. Think before you speak. Some words have more impact on a person than you may know. Some words can mean one thing to you, and something much worse to another. Try and be understanding, open-minded, and be outspoken. When you see someone getting bullied, or even just teased and you know that they don't like it...stand up for them, because maybe they can't do it themselves, and maybe it's the last straw for them. You never truly know what lies behind a person's mask, and lets face it, everyone wears a mask. Even you. So think before you speak, and don't watch as others get bullied. Those names that flash across television screens about teenagers killing themselves from being bullied, either for being gay or just for being themselves...that could be your best friend, and you might never realize it before it's too late. So don't wait for it to be too late. Stand up now, because you never know when it's going to be too late.
