Author has written 7 stories for Ninja Turtles.

Heya!

I'm Jamie, a transient theatrical artist (which means I travel all around the USA and create truely bizarre things for actors to carry onstage) who loves to write. I think I write because I'm too often bored and so I amuse myself by making up stories in my head. This drive my co-workers nuts, but as we're all in theatre anyways there's very little distinction :)

Fan worlds I watch/read/enjoy: Star Trek (every series except Voyager), Star Wars, Forever Knight, Doctor Who, TMNT, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, MST3K, Chrisopher Priest, Christopher Moore, PotC, most things sci fi and fantasy.

Fanfictions I love to read: TMNT fics (particularly ones without angst!), Doctor Who fics featuring Tom Baker's doctor, Peter Davison's doctor or multiple doctors, DS9 fics featuring Cardassians (In particular Garak, vastly preferable when he does NOT have some weird shipping with Bashir), good Forever Knight fics, and serious Shadow Hearts fics starring Yuri. If you know of any, drop me a line! I'd love to read and I usually review.

Style? I love exploring characters, and character centered drama. I dislike slash (no offense to people who dig it); but I occassionally venture into adult themes to explore a particular mood or topic. I also dislike shipping when it isn't supported by cannon. Most of what I write is intended to explore something: a feeling, an idea, a relationship or what have you. I also love serial adventures because I like reading (or writing) things that develop over a long period of time (so bear with me if you think the first few chapters are boring. I promise it's going somewhere!) I also have this strange imp of the perverse in me, and I realy enjoy taking strange, sometimes absurd ideas and trying to turn them into serious or semi-serious fiction.

Lately I have been on an almost obsessive 'clear editing' kick. So I try to make titles clean, and get the stories looking good as well as reading easily. To this end I don't put A/Ns anywhere except before the first chapter and after the last. I do try to answer all reviews because I appreciate them very much. I do publish my stories on StealthyStories as well, and I also stick all the rambling musings and A/Ns there.

The Stories:

We Are The Klunk: Complete. A semi-serious multi-chapter Klunk Fic. I kid you not. Won first place best canon ally fic; Second place best comedy and best happy ending; Third place most accurate portrayal of characters from the 2007 SS Fanfiction competition (wow!). I cannot thank everyone who voted enough!

When Worlds Collide: I swear to godness I have not forgtten this one. I have most of two chapters written, I just need to tie them in. My love of the Old Toon rears it's head as OT meets New Toon

Under His Nose: In Progress. I had the itch to write in first person. And the itch to tackle Splinter.

Dreams and Dragons: In Progress. A semi-dark Caseyfic about facing his fears.

Come She Will: In Progress. I have to admit this is the hardest story I have ever tried to write because it needs to be very precise. It will be finished. Slowly. Old Toon gets matured a bit and haunted by a group of Mary-Sue like OCs.

More? Ok. Random Facts:

How do I practice writing? I play this game: http://www.thefrpg.net/ (If you like Star Trek and writing, I highly reccommend it)

My Favorite Character who I will probably never write a fanfic for: Elim Garak. Totally dig Garak... and that's probably why I don't write DS9 fic. Too much bias.

The one thing that proves I'm a geek beyond all others?: Toss up between "I sewed myself a Harry Potter outfit...when I was 26... AND I wear it ~OR~ I have vanity plates that say MKE IT SO (I kid you not)

Other fond likes: Knitting, camping, cartooning, hiking, canoeing, biking, reading and writing, baking, almost anything crafty. And I'm on Ravelry now as PlainSimpleGarak !!

Strange factoid: I have a 2nd degree black belt in tae kwon do, and have studied Inyan style Escrima and a smattering of Ju Jitsu.

What makes that a stranger factoid: I'm a 5'4" girl

How many times have I driven across the USA in an old car?: I work theatre seasonally... too dang many.

Do I sing?: Karaoke. Badly. Reeeeal badly. (but darn is it fun!)

Why TMNT fic? Everyone has an inner child they have to feed :) Besides... they're ninjas!
