Contacting Me:
I don't list my e-mail here to avoid spammers. However, if you drop a comment to my livejournal (linked under homepage, above), that works just as well.
If, for some reason, you want to archive any of my writing, ask first. I'll probably say yes, but if I find it archived without permission, I get cranky.

About Me:
My name is Charis. I'm twenty-something going on old, I write when little plot-bugs lodge themselves in my brain, and it's mostly as a cathartic sort of exploratory experience, which sounds phenomenally pretentious. I also write because it's fun, which is much less so. Aside from blithering excessively, I'm a biochemistry student by education and a student of all manner of random stuff besides. Work regularly consumes me whole, which means updates are sporadic at best - dependent on time and inspiration.
I live in southern California, which is generally far too hot for my Eastern European blood. I am Jewish by upbringing, pagan by choice, and corvid by temperament (easily distracted by small shiny objects). In my copious amounts of free time - or rather, my protracted bursts of procrastination - I also roleplay, participate in historical reenactments, draw, do an excess of craft-type things, cosplay, and put off redesigning my webpage.
I think that about suits a fifteen-second bio.

About My Writing:
I write intermittently at best where fanfics are concerned; moreover, most of my fanfic tends to be brief and character-focussed. Consider yourself warned.
Most of the stuff here is short, and unless otherwise specified is almost certainly one-shot; I'm not-so-good at longer writings. Similarly, most of this is angst, or at least emotionally focussed; I'm more given to introspection (or just woe) than I am to action sequences.
I write a complete and utter hodgepodge of things, and tend to adopt and discard fandoms on a regular basis: anime, television, literature, movies ... you name it. Favourite characters within fandoms tend towards those who are older, intellectuals and / or provide me with excuses to write angst ... okay, mostly the last. I'll write just about anything, though, given the proper impetus.
I also tend towards obsessive bursts of fic-writing, which should be evident from the way things get dumped here.
I do write original work as well; my webpage, which showcases most of my work, is currently down but may be found at I do have a FictionPress account under the pen name myalchod), which may grow with time.
Occasionally, I post drabbles and random bits of writing in my livejournal that don't wind up here; if you're really that curious, feel free to check it out.

The Last Word:
As this has evidently not been stressed sufficiently: unless otherwise specified, everything here is a one-shot. That means there are not additional chapters. I thank you for your comments saying that you cannot wait for another chapter, but there will likely never be any.
