If I mentally tried I could probably mentally come up with the solution to world hunger or something like that, but even if I did no one would listen to me so instead I focus my mental energy on other things, like mentally debating shins vs. groin. My other hobbies include epic, adrenaline-filled dreams that occasionally end in my grisly death. So far, among other things, I've been pushed off a cliff, fallen off a cliff, rolled off a cliff in a car, rolled down a mountain in a car, hit by a car, been shot by a firing squad, and a rather large pile-up. For a comparison, think what would have happened in the Doctor Who episode 'Gridlock' if all the cars had suddenly fallen and squashed the Macra. No, no Daleks yet though it's only a matter of time. Last week I was saved by the Doctor. Though one dream didn't end in my death, just me about to throttle my best friend whose personality had taken a sudden and unexpected swerve towards how-do-you-make-it-through-life?-ditzy, as well as some random guy who kept wandering off. He was completely hopeless. Kept spending our money on trinkets too, I was about to kick him off the crew roster. And then there was when my science teacher fell into an acid pit spilling toxic fumes. Avernum 4 is officially a weird game. Not weird as in gameplay, because in gameplay it's awesome. Weird because it's psychic. Or maybe that's just me. Whenever I start thinking about a song while my mp3 player is on shuffle, that song plays next. It also has a weird obsession with The Tain by the Decemberists. If you've ever heard that song, you know what I mean. Which led me to contemplating how two mp3 players would sleep together. They'd probably be hermaphroditic, but that's WAY off topic. Anyway, back to Avernum 4. My characters are Hattori Heiji, Kudo Shinichi, Kuroba Kaito, and Hakuba Saguru. Hattori is most likely to charge off to battle and get himself killed, anything poisonous makes a beeline for Kudo (I 1412 you not (bad joke)), Kuroba can get into any locked room or box, and Hakuba keeps saving everyone except Hattori and so has become a pompous idiot. | |||||||||
