Hey there everyone,

First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to come read my profile. I'll let you in on a little secret known as myself.

My name is Michael. I am currently a US Soldier deployed in Iraq. Before the Army, I used to be in college, but dropped out due to financial reasons. I used to be a junior editor for the Dallas Morning News for about a year and a half, working mostly in the Texas living section. I am currently stationed at FOB Warrior near Kirkuk and run about 3 BS missions out of every 4 missions we do. I am 21 years of age and my birthday is in February. I am an Aquarius and like long moonlit walks... ... ... ... I digress.

I really can't remember when I first got into anime, but I really fell in love with it. My Favorites are Naruto, Bleach, Zero no Tsukaima, and a few others. I've been working and trying to develop a couple of ideas for a sequel to the Shadow Fox (which includes a name change, because the name is too plain for my tastes anymore). I'm also in the process of re-working the story as well, as there are quite a few plot holes that i would like to stitch up.

Some thing I personally like about stories:

1. Fewer but longer chapters - To me, the fact that you don't have 40 chapters and only have 10 is perfectly fine. If those ten chapters are 8k words instead of 2k i like that better. Mostly because I think that short chapters interrupts the story's flow and unless the author is wishing to make it fast paced and the story reflects this, than it's going to bring the story down and cause it to seem very choppy.

2. Proper Grammar - As an ex-editor I cannot standby and let a good story be ruined by shoddy grammar. That's why I've always offered to BR the stories that I like and feel need fixing. On that note, I also feel that, while using more advanced words is good and usually reflects upon the writing prowess of the author, I have seen this abused and look like the author went on a thesaurus rampage.

Pairings I like in a Naruto story:

Naru/Hina -> I'm actually getting bored with this pairing as it is too predicatable

Naru/FemHaku -> nobody seems to be writing/finishing any more good fics of this pairing

Naru/Isaribi -> what can I say, not very popular

Naru/OC -> I am finding out that the wonderful, untapped land of infinite OCs is wonderful for creating a siutable partner for Naruto

Essentially anyone who has shared his type of pain in their past.

Pairings I dislike:

Naru/Tsu - She is way to old for him. Doesn't anyone who remembers that she just as old as Jiraya actually realize that she's as old as Jiraiya?

Naru/Ino - Sorry, but this would have to be very well written for me to like it. I find Ino to be too shallow for naruto, who would be looking for a lasting relationship. I think someone who might dump him a few weeks/months later, would crush him.

Ino/Shika/Cho - seems to me that they act more like siblings than potential lovers. Shikamaru seems like he'd get pushed into a relationship before he actively sought it out, Ino may have a few boyfriends, but nothing too serious, And I can't see Chouji with anyone from the story, so maybe a clan marriage to some faceless nobody.

Sasu/anyone - This is insane. He cares nothing for anyone. He just wants power to kill his brother, which he's done. Now, with his eyes set on the Kages, I can't see him being with anyone, ever.

Naru/Saku - Now this might happen, although I hope it doesn't. They have the relationship that Jiraiya and Tsunade have(and amazingly, the story has repeated itself almost verbatim with Tsunade/Jiraiya/Orochimaru and Naruto/Sasuke/Sakura), so I can't see them having anything serious. It seems like more of a brother/sister relationship. What girlfriend would whack you every time you said something remotely offensive? Especially someone with loose lips as Naruto.

Any type of Yaoi.

Haven't seen any Yuri, but hey, I'm a guy, so who knows?

Things I hate:

Yaoi -> end of story

A story where EVERYONE is paired up.

Naru/anyone 4+years of his age, it's just creepy.

Some Things About Stories/Authors/etc...:

1. HIATUS. Nothing aggravates me, or quite possibly, every other reader more is an awesome story abruptly ending. If you're going to go on hiatus, take the story down so that way people won't feel like doing very naughty things to you while you are in line to get your brain checked.

2. Authors who don't want flames will never get anywhere because they'll never take any type of criticism seriously. Some like "You suck and your story sucks too" I can understand, because those have no point in them. But, if you ask for no flames your writing is never going to get any better. Some of the best stories have been written by multiple people.

3. FemNaruto - This is really hard for me. It really depends on the story. I mean, to me it still seems like yaoi, mostly because I will always think of him as a guy. Although the one thing I truly LOATHE to the very core of my being, is the "Sexy Jutsu" Naruko. That is so cheesy, stupid, and clichè, that people have run it into the ground. If you are going to make him a girl, at least do it with some fucking originality.

MAIN PROJECT 1: Wings for those Caught in the Maelstrom (Under re-construction)

I decided to adopt this from awalkingparadox. Seeing as how i'm not doing any writing right now, i decided to adopt this from her and finish it, mainly because it deserves to be finished. We're communicating back and forth, so it actually more of a collab than an adoption. Anyways this is pretty much it. Hope it goes well.

Main Project 2: Project Genesis - Naruto/Prototype xover(Under Construction)

I figured that this would be an intersting combo to see, and there aren't very many good ones out there, so i'm creating my own. It's a combination of the narutoverse and Prototype. I am giving credit to certain aspects of Stigma's 'Lost' in my story. Anyways, other than that i can't think of anything that needs be said.

SIDE PROJECT 1: The Shadow Fox Chronicles - COMPLETE (Undergoing Editing)

I'm not sure what I want to do wth this. I have decided to change the name, mostly because I find it too bland and ordinary. Also, I have to do quite some major editing, bacause from re-reading it, I have found a lot of mistakes and plot holes. Anyone who wants to help with this is welcome. Also, I'm changing Naruto's mercenary name in the story from The Shadow Fox, to something else; I haven't quite figured that one out yet though.

SIDE PROJECT 2: Third Time's the Charm - Naruto/Bleach xover (Lack of Plans and Funding; Construction Halted)

I've been having some really good ideas for a bleach Naruto xover, so i'll be working on that a bit and see how it goes from there. This is nt going to be a romace between Naruto and Haku, as much as i wanted it to be, they are just the two main characters. It's actually quite different from anything I've ever seen on ff.net.

SIDE PROJECT: NarutoxZero no Tsukaima Xover (Lack of plans and funding; Construction Halted)

I've had quite a bit of success developing this into a functioning story. I think i've gotten it to a point to where I can safely bring it out into the sun, and whether or not it'll thrive and grow, or get shit on remains to be seen, but i have read nothing remotely compared to what i have in store. Unfortunately, this story if on Hiatus because I am an idiot. I left all my notes on it at home, and the first 6 or 7 chapters on my desktop; also at home.
