Author has written 3 stories for Crossing Jordan, and Remington Steele. Okay, so I figure if any of you are actually willing to look here, I should probably write a little something about myself. Most Important:I used to write only 'Crossing Jordan' fic under the pen name 'cjloverforever' (which I never really cared for) but when I became interested in other fandoms, I decided on a pen name that's a bit more versatile. Hope it doesn't confuse anyone! My favourite shows are 'Crossing Jordan', 'Remington Steele' and I'm finding myself more hooked on 'Castle' every week. I've currently got a CJ WIP that I promise I will eventually finish, and am busy working on an RS fic that I refuse to post until it's finished (as to avoid repeating the two-year-plus writer's block that is my CJ story!) I ship: Woody/Jordan of 'Crossing Jordan' (though I like the idea of Jordan with Danny McCoy, so you never know what I may come up with there) and, of course, Remington/Laura of 'Remington Steele'. I am a married, stay-at-home mom of two beautiful young kids. My husband works in camp, so finding a creative outlet in which to vent my frustations when he's away was important to me. Having always found comfort in writing, I was not surprised to find myself turning back in that direction. I was introduced to fanfic by the wonderful ladies at the CJ Coffee Rooms, and originally wrote only for 'Crossing Jordan.' Unfortunately, I've found myself drifting further away from the CJ world and am finding it harder to get back into that groove. Thankfully, my passion for writing hasn't waned, so I've simply turned my attention to other fandoms. A lot of the stuff I write is fandom-based, but may never see the light of day simply because it is far too personal; however, it serves as a springboard for most of the work I do post. I'll let all of you be the judge as to whether I've done a decent job of staying true to my beloved characters. Thanks to the CJ Coffee Rooms ladies for letting me vent my opinions without fear of reprimand. And to the CR gals who are fanfic writers, I'd like to pass on a huge thank you for inspiring me to write (and post!) my own fics. To the VS7 staff - thank you for giving us closure. You ladies rock my world! I hope you enjoy my work. Please feel free to leave a comment - I appreciate constructive criticism as well as feel-good comments. The only thing I take offense at is hearing someone say they don't like my work, but not offering a reason why. If you don't like it, don't read it. As a final word, if I may loosely quote a fellow CJ author mecedeme: "If I put the letter 'u' in weird places, it's because I'm Canadian!" Thanks for reading! | |||||||
