Author has written 10 stories for House, M.D.. So now that I'm actually writing something rather than just using this account as a record for all my favourite fanfics, I thought I should put something slightly meaningful here because there's a chance that someone might actually visit this page. The name's Sara. I'm 17, Chinese parents, born in New Zealand, raised in Australia. A bit more about me... hm, let's see. I tend to think that I'm a person with many opposite sides, but I think most people who know me would say otherwise, simply because they only see one side. I can be extroverted and introverted, hard working and lazy, honest and lying. It really depends on who you talk to - although I suppose that would be the case for most people. We really are complex beings, aren't we? Personally, I would describe myself as intelligent, sarcastic, realistic, thorough, and helpful. Or at least I try to be. I'm not actually a very creative person in real life. I prefer the logical side of things - academically my favourite subjects are Economics and Mathematics, two firmly grounded subjects, and I plan on studying both at university this year. I suck at visual, dramatic and musical arts. But strangely enough, online my imagination just seems to start working all of a sudden, primarily through making graphics like icons and by writing. I've always loved reading, but it's only been recently that I've started to enjoy writing. Ideas just started popping into my head that I had to write out into stories. Most of them have been original pieces; the few that were based on pre-existing characters are what you see here. I'm most comfortable writing descriptive pieces where very little happens, but put simply, stuff has to happen in a fic to make it a good work of fanfiction. That's what I'm out to gain by writing here - a better understanding of how to use things like plot devices, dialogue, character traits, etc. that are pretty much out of my comfort zone. A large portion of my fics will be drabbles or one-shots. Just little ideas that spring into my head which I have to get down on paper (or, as it happens, on a computer). As to the few multi-chapter fics I write, I tend to plan those meticulously because I like to know where I'm going when I write. I blame that on my being a control freak. Like all authors, I love reviews, so to anyone that takes the time to write one - thanks, it's much appreciated. Reviews help aspiring writers like myself know when they're on the right track or veering completely off the road, which is always good to know. Currently I am writing in the House fandom. I'm dabbling with various characters, but my fics will be primarily either centered around the team or around the House/Wilson ship, with a bit of House/Cameron on the side. As to what I'm presently reading... nothing! Got no time. I plan on going through the House fics listed up here soon, but as yet I haven't read anything there yet. | |||||||
