5-12-11: Announcement:

This is just to let everyone know that I am still alive. My best intentions for getting back in the swing of things with the New Year didn't exactly work out. Lucky I didn't post about them, because I'd have felt really silly.

I got hit with some brand new medical problems in mid-January that derailed everythingfor a while. I'm still sick, although it's more under control now. I don't have a diagnosis and I'll skip the details except to say that it's painful.

There's a bunch of other personal crap going on: fallings out with some of my closet and oldest friends, problems in my family that don't bear talking about, and a lot of trouble writing as a result.
I will get back to my fics. I don't abandon stories. (If anyone is still paying attention to my Stargate stuff.) It really bothers me that if you look through my posts for the past couple of years, it seems like a constant stream of "I'm going to get back to this stuff..." and then apologies for not doing it. So, I haven't said anything until now because I kept hoping that things would clear up. That's not happening.

I don't mean to just vanish on my friends here. The thing is, I don't have anything to say when I feel this way. I don't like to talk about being sick or having personal problems all the time. It doesn't do me any good to rant and whine, and it makes the blog depressing as heck. This is where I come for funand I haven't been having any.

For the time being, I may be posting fanvids and graphics on LJ during the spring and summer, but I don't expect fic updates. I don't even expect updates on my original stuff, although I am working on it. I miss you guys and I miss fandom. I'm just not myself and I don't like making promises to be around when I really don't know if I can keep them.

I need to write like I need to breathe. I write what I love, be it in my own universes or those I've encountered elsewhere. These days the two major fandoms in which I write are Star Wars and Stargate: SG-1, although they are far from my only fandoms.

I tend to write epic fiction, and I have 4 major SG-1 series' which were written for challenge communties on LJ. I also have 4 major Star Wars AUs in various stages of completion.

Due to limitations on the length of the site's author pages, I am moving the introductions and author's my work. Links to them (organized by fandom) are below.

Any other information that you might want to know about me or my work can be accessed from this post on my Livejournal. Please do read the information before PMing questions, including requests for me to read your stories. I'm not antisocial and I do like to talk and make friends; I'm also just busy writing a lot of the time.

Also, I really appreciate all reviews and would like to thank reviewers. I try to respond to every review whether positive or negative, so anonymous reviewers can find responses to their commentary in my notes posts. I don't use names there, but if you would prefer that I not include answers to your comments in my notes, please leave me an email address so that I can respond to you directly.

One-shots and poetry

I have quite a lot of one-shot style pieces in the SG fandom on the site now. Most of them are canon; some take place in my Rediscovered Hearts AU. The story summaries should give you adequate details. I also have a love affair with poetry. A few fandoms seem to inspire it more than others, but I've written poems for Stargate, Star Wars, Narnia, and Bionic Woman.
