I'm not dead.

That being said, I need fic recommendations. Does anyone know of any good Bleach/Naruto fanfics? Or any good Bleach fanfics period? (just recently got into the fandom, and am already tired of mucking through Ichimaru/Renji, Ichimaru/Izuru, Ichimaru/ANYONEWITHAPULSE stuff everywhere... -_- So I'm too scared to look anymore). That and also good Artemis Fowl fics? And/or any good crossover fics involving my favorite fandoms (see below--if you dare!! >). I don't really have time to go looking right now...so any help from people who do would be fan-freaking-tastic. You'll win my undying love, devotion, and a cyber-treat of your choosing. Hello, dahlings. Um... welcome the strange and somewhat convoluted land of my profile. I have no idea why you came, but now that your here (evil grin) let's have some fun.

Let's see... First off, I'm a Christian. Mostly because I really like fish (just kidding). Ella Rose is what I wish my name was. I'm not telling you my real name. I live in a free country... I may or may not live in the East/West coast. I've moved once; but I loooove Philly. Philly is the tops. Too bad I can't visit very often T.T. My hair ranges in color between darkish to lightish, depending on what light I'm in (like, if I'm in really bright light... oh, never mind). My eyes are the color of things you would find in nature that are alive or not alive... or dead. I'm tall compared to a third grader. I'm middlin in weight, and happy just that way. I am also at the age where I no longer have to wear and diaper, and will not have to wear a diaper again for quite some time. I also have a lot of siblings, and I love them all dearly.

The Entertainment

Shows I like: Charmed, Naruto, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Dr. Who, Psych, House, Inuyasha, G Gundam (oh how I mourn for you! They need to put that show back on the air), Danny Phantom, Heroes, Teen Titans, Batman: Beyond, pretty much any superhero show, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, and... I can't really think of any more right now. Maybe I will later. And yes, I will read/maybe write fanfics for all of these. New: Bleach is my new loooove! Ichigo rocks my socks off; AND HANATARO IS MA BOIFRIEN'!! He's just tooooo adorable. I love him muchly.

Authors/Books I like: Diana Wynne Jones is my current all time favorite (whoot!), and I'm also quite partial to: Robin McKinley, The Dark is Rising, and anything by Susan Cooper (especially King of Shadows; such a good book!), Charles Dickens, William Shakespeare (le duh; I think there are very few writers who wouldn't say that), A String in the Harp, Lloyd Alexander, Brian Jacques (it's something of a guilty pleasure), J.R.R. Tolkien (but Tolkien nerd I am not, I swear! I don't even know any elvish), C.S. Lewis, any Ray Bradbury (which is wierd, because I don't usually like sci-fi, but he's a genius), the Inkheart Trilogy (I cried more at the end of Inkspell than I did when Boromir died; and that's the most I had cried for a book to date), The Inheritance books (his writing needs some work, and the Eragon/Arya dialogue makes me cringe, but it's a really great story), and The Obsidian Trilogy, the Keys to the Kingdom (although I've just discovered them and I only read the first one), Sherwood Smith, Chris Wooding (hoo...The Haunting of Alaizabel Cray gives me shivers), The Scarlet Pimpernel, Edgar Allen Poe, and Artemist Fowl. Ditto to what I said about my shows.

Movies I like: Batman: Begins--actually, pretty much all superhero movies made after and including Superman--anything off of Jane Austen (though the BBC mini-series of Pride and Predjudice was worlds better than the movie), Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Pirates of the Carribean movies, the Harry Potter movies (though, sadly I have not yet read the books--ask me about it and I'll tell you the story ( it's loooooooooong (there's a good reason, I promise))--so NO SPOILERS PLEASE!), The Lord of the Rings movies (uh, duh), Kill Bill, the Bourne Trilogy, Ocean's 11 and 12 (haven't gotten around to 13 yet...yes I own a television!), anything with Freddy Highmore (I am so glad he's not my little brother because if he was I'd be putty in his hands the minute he flashed those adorable dimples), The Chronicles of Narnia, most old movies (especially if they feature Olivia de Haviland or Jimmy Stewart, etc.), Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, and many more, but this list is getting long. Again, ditto above.

Featured artist of the day/week/month/period of time until I find a new favorite: The Hush Sound. I need to write a story inspired by The Lion's Roar.

As Far as My Writing Goes

I'm what's called Straight-Edge, which is a term some of you music lovers might know. In music, it refers to artist or bands who abstain from certain things, like drinking or drugs. What it means when I say it is that I will not read or write slash (or any other name of it), sex, and/or overly gratuitous gore, and I won't write cursing (though I will read it as long as it isn't gratuitous or over the top. If I tried to avoid any and all cursing I wouldn't be able to read anything . ). I try to respect everyone (and I'm good at it XD), but that doesn't mean I won't try to talk you out of any or all of these things if you come to me with your "See, it's not so bad!" Let's just agree to disagree, and go no further than the occasional friendly debate, if you wish (I'm always up for a little toe-to-toe ;3). If you agree with any or all of these things, put an "x" in your name and join the club!

Pairings: Like I said I don't write slash, and so my pairing preferences will reflect that. I'll put all my pairings in the summary if they're significant. So, if you like Danny Fenton and Valerie Gray, and I write a story that's a Danny/Sam, you won't feel ambushed. I also have solemnly vowed only to pair OCs with other OCs, the only exception be that if the canon character has absolutely no one I could possibly see them being with (for example, I really can't see Sasuke being with any girl on the show they have right now, but I'm only on episode 87 Note: Scratch that, I'm caught up on the English version--Sasuke must DIE.). But I probably won't do that.

OCs: I do have a few OCs floating around in my head, but I am very cautious with them. I've seen how easy it is to create a Gary Stu or Mary Sue, and that's something I never want to do. On that note, if you read a story of mine with an OC and they seem kind of like that, tell me. If you think I have a Mary Sue, help me change it by telling me what you think makes it a Mary Sue. Also as I said I only pair OCs with OCs.

Reviews: Are the tea and crumpets of my writing life. If you like it, tell me; but more importantly if you don't like it, tell me. Tell me why and what you think needs to be changed. I'm my own worst critic, so chances are that what you say won't be as bad as what I say to myself ; ). I'd actually rather you give me constructive criticism than praise. Just remember though, I won't be able to change if I get a review that says, "OMG, how stupid r u, this iz teh dumist story i've evr red." That doesn't help anyone. Oh, and flames will be given to my fire wizard, Aidan, who will manipulate it into a dragon that will fly back and attack you, resulting in a flaming rear. n.n

Updates: Won't be regular. Sorry. I try and keep a story going, and I promise that I will definitely tell you before I give up on a story completely, or put it on haitus. However, my life takes priority. This is for entertainment only. My general habit is to flit from story to story, and if it's really in demand I might make myself stay with one until it's finished.

Other: I love a good crossover and AU.

I'm going through some serious withdrawal here. I MISS TWILIGHT PRINCESS! I can't play it during the school year (weeps). Did I spell withdrawal right?

And speaking of the Legend of Zelda (and withdrawal, for that matter), can I please take a moment to rave about Rose Zemlya? Seriously, she one of the best authors on ff.net. Her stories The Return and Reconciliation are amazing: great plot, the awesomest and most original OCs I've ever met (Hunter is teh tops! .), cool action scenes and amazing twists, all tied together with a tongue-in-cheek humor that is--dare I say--DE-lightful. It's a real shame that most of the really good authors seem to be exactly like me when it comes to updating (aka, they take FOREVER and torture what fans they have); Reconciliation hasn't bee updated in forever! (sigh) But if you love LoZ, you WILL read these stories. I command you.
