Hello. Well, here I am, to post any of my non-original universe stories I can finish. Some of you may already know me as _Vision_ (on GameFAQs), LordSecret (on Armored Core Online), as various versions of those two things, or as some random gibberish usually severely lacking in vowels. Anyway, yes, I do write. Surprise, surprise. Anyway, I began my first fanfic in 2005. I'm on chapter 5 now. Yes, I write that slowly. Though I've only been writing for 2 years, I told stories out loud to my family from the ages of 3 to 13, so I have some experience with telling a story.
I take a different view of fan fiction than most people. I think most people read and write fan fiction mainly because they love the characters presented in the original work, and just want to see them in action again. I read and write fan fiction mainly because I love the universe presented in the original work. Therefore, you will rarely, if ever, see me write "Further adventures of so-and-so" type stories. The way I see it, the story of the characters from the original work has usually already been told in full, and far better than I could write it.
I tend to write things more along the lines of very distant, all-OC prequels and sequels that merely take place in the same universe as the original work, and point-of-divergence AU stories (what would have happened if so-and-so hadn't died). My work will usually be rated T, since I don't go much into the sex or swearing, but still like my action and the occasional bit of fairly-graphic sadism.
Stories you can (hopefully) look forward to:
Armored Core: Prophets (Armored Core (obviously)): A far-future SL-universe fic, also my first. Basically, it's what a guy who hated NX and has a really weird idea of AC's story line hoped LR's story would be. Summary: 150 years after Layered fell, 140 years after the second Layered was found, and 5 years after the devastating Corporate War, the last and greatest of the Controllers begins its plan for revenge on the human race with a vicious attack on Mark Schultz, the greatest Raven who ever lived. Meanwhile, Ryan Lake, a former Crest MT pilot now jailed by the Crest Alliance for his role in starting the Corporate War, is charged by a mysterious man with becoming a Raven.
Horra Scape: (Jak and Daxter) 100 dark years after the Horra Quan came through the gate, 50 dark years before the great warrior Mar made his safe-haven... The Horra Quan are stronger, the humans weaker. Zrahg, a Horra Quan general, begins his plan to take over. Meanwhile, the human village he is supposed to be eliminating grows stronger and bolder by the day... But Zrahg is not the only Horra Quan with treason on his mind. A Jak II-universe fic, no Dark Makers or any of that Jak 3 crap.
Solider in Dragon: (Ender's Game) 30 years before Ender's Game. The incredible classified story of Jack Wilson, a brlliant solider in the awful Dragon Army, and how he nearly destroyed Battle School.
Grey Jedi: (Star Wars) A good 1000 years after the movies. While the Jedi Council remains preoccupied with hunting for the followers of Korskawa, the deranged fallen jedi and founder of the so-called Final Sith Order, a mysterious, gray-cloaked man is kidnapping, dueling, and killing jedi sent on remote assignments. And why has Leon Warrik, the brooding, near-friendless jedi trainee infamously obsessed with lightsaber combat, been given full access to the archives?
