Summer with the Sohmas Status: So I clearly fell behind on my chapter release, about 2 months behind to be precise. But I just wanted to update and let you know I am writing and will get the chapters out when I can, although I don't have a timeline considering life is pretty intense right now. Part of my hiatus was due to the production I was in for the past few months, the musical "Hair" which may have been the best show experience of my college career. A production like this would be time consuming in any event but it just so happened that the stars aligned and I met a bonified Yuki (minus the androgeny T_T Tis OK, he was still very very pretty ) in the cast. He was playing the lead. I hardly need to say how this ended up consuming my energy. Connections were made, drama was had, it was all very interesting and emotional and now I have lots of inspiration for this story. AND I can actually start writing it again since the production is over and I don't have the same forces taking up my attention...well at least not on a daily basis. So I'll see if I can't put out the next chapter in a timely manner.

It's my only project I've posted here but I do have several other fics I'm working on including a Draco Malfoy fic and a KAT-TUN fanfic. KAT-TUN is a japanese boy band. If you don't know them, look them up. As far as postings for this site, this is the only one for now. Maybe eventually I'll get the Draco fic up but I have more work to do on it before I'm ready for that.

In the meantime "SwtS" which I started about 2 years ago is continuing to evolve for me. What started as a very personal story I wrote for me and myself alone for amusement and therapy is now turning into something different. I'm not the same person or writer that i was, but as the story is really about the evolution of people anyway, I think that's OK. Not sure how long it will be or how long I'll take to finish it, but there's a story there that I want to tell and refuse to give up on as long as there are people who want to hear it. FruitsBasket is still and will probably always be my favorite and most special Anime. Speaking of which go buy manga volume 23!!

My reason for writing and sharing fanfiction:

-There is more to the story than what is given to us

-There is another perspective with which to view the story/there is further exploration of the material to be had through fiction

-I want to spend more time with the characters (This one is problematic. Serious credibility issues arise when fanfiction authors let this get out of hand.)

-Farce...need I say more?

I read Harry Potter but I wouldn't classify myself as a true Harry Potter fan. I'm far too crytical of Rowling as an author, Harry as a character, and the books as literature to be a true Harry Potter fan. However, I enjoy the world she created. And take pleasure in the books and movies. I am also in love with Draco Malfoy. ;P
