I'm a 60-year-old Old Bat (DoB: 12/14/1948) who likes cats, crocheting, knitting, messing around with 3D imagery (DAZStudio FTW!), and reading. So far, in the fanfic genre, I like Ranma 1/2 (I just completed the set put out by Viz), Full Metal Panic, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Galaxy Rangers with a bit of Transformers thrown in. A lot of the crossovers are quite interesting as well. Being an ex-secretary, nothing turns me off of a story quicker than something poorly written. No matter how interesting the premise of the story, poor spelling, incorrect word usage (there for their, your for you're, etc) will have me exiting the story quicker than you can spit. With all the spell checkers and grammar checkers out there, as well as beta readers, there is no reason whatsoever to submit junk. I've not yet written anything for here, however I think I will soon. I've this idea that keeps cheeping in my mind like a just-hatched chick... FYI: Contrary to some opinions, wrinkly old ladies DO watch anime. They also read manga. :pulls down eyelid and sticks out tongue: Biii-DAH! 01/08/2009: I realize I've been as scarce as hens' teeth for a bit. Broken arm bones and broken glasses are a pain in more ways than one. Hopefully, I'll be able to start typing as well as reading soon. Sorry for any inconvenience or worry that may have been generated by my absence. I sincerely hope that your holidays were enjoyable. 08/19/2009: I live... Kinda sorta. Been having some problems and a long stint of hiding in the closet. Panic attacks, depression and PTSD suck. Believe me. They do. Still having problems with my right arm from when I fell last November. Oddly enough, I can write in longhand for longer periods of time than I can type. My one cheeping story idea has turned into two cheeping story ideas. Once I get them written enough that I can start posting, I'll be doing that. To date, I have 475 fanfic links to read. Kinda hard getting through them as I also broke my glasses when I fell and I have yet to get them replaced. Another issue I had to deal with is that my HD made like a dead goldfish and went belly up. Everything on it got lost. I know a couple of people sent me things to read. Me, being me, immediately moved them to my HD and then deleted things from my hotmail account. My apologies. I wasn't ignoring you. Honest. I simply lost you due to circumstances beyond my control. | |||||||||
