I hate AU fiction, I refuse to read it. What is fanfiction, but your own take on the story? Characters removed from the time and place that moulded them are no longer those characters. I wish that people were creative enough to invent their own characters for environments they make up, though really, that's what they are doing with AU. I like my characters in context. Context is very important in my life. I also dislike crossovers, except for humor puposes. Once again going back to the whole context thing.
