I'm sorry. I wish that weren't the case, I wish I was writing, I wish my mind was a more peaceful, sane place right now - but it's not happening at this point and there's little I can do about it besides hang in there and hope it'll get better. So, I mean, if me and my little scribbles mean something to you - which, sometimes, I'm not sure they really do, as much as I'd like to hope they do - then I apologize. You can't possibly feel as frustrated/sad as I do about it. But such is life. I suppose, if you think about it and want to get technical, this means I'm on hiatus, until sunnier days shine light on my creativity. I hope to get out of it soon, I hope to finish Little Earthquakes because I still want to write that, but at this point, I don't have energy and sometimes I just feel very ineffective. As though even if I did finish it, who would care? It's a depressing thought. Even writing these words, I feel like I'm talking to an empty room. Does anyone really want to hear what I want to say? Am I the only one who feels like this sometimes? Anyway. Point of the matter is, I'm not writing. But if I do, you will be the first to know. Cheers. But then, if this is a familiar place to you, you also know that I am now a slightly hardened eighteen-year-old college freshman and I no longer intend to get published because the book I wrote before is juvenile. It needs love and attention and time; I have none of these things in the necessary supply. She writes Sparrabeth mostly - and it's damn fantastic Sparrabeth, by the way - and these days, she is writing Teen Titans and House. She pulls them all off wonderfully with her signature craziness and gorgeous, fluid writing style. She has yet to screw up a characterization, something that cannot be said for most of the writers here, and really, I could go on forever but she'd probably kill me. RECOMMENDED: -- Ships Zay Sails and Sinks: Pirates of the Caribbean Harry Potter House M.D. NCIS -- Mina: So if you've been living under a Harry Potter fan-fiction rock, there's this story here that I've beta-ed: Quiet Summer, by Wilhelmina Willoughby This girl and her ability to write a love story is kind of insanely awesome. She's too good at what she does. For real. If you like what I write, you will adore her. She makes me a better writer and a better reader and I'm jealous of her mad skillz. So go check her out - besides the Harry Potter stories, there's a Hunger Games thing on there, I believe a Twilight story as well, and she's in the process of writing other things, which is great because we need more of her brilliance on a site where, let's face it, you are more likely to find non-brilliance than brilliance. Mina is epic. So now you have to go read her stuff and review it and make her day - she deserves it. Got it?
