Author has written 17 stories for Harry Potter, Angel, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, and Bones. My Life in Fan fiction Hi. My pen name is Jenna Black, something I came up with when I was 12 and has been with me now for nearly a decade. My writing and reading habits go in cycles. As of September 2008 I am in an active cycle, which will remain that way until I am no longer active. I wish I could be clearer, but that pretty much just leads to empty promises. I enjoy this life, and love this community, but real life has a tendency to crowd in. I am currently reworking some of my old stories to get back into the swing of things; I hope to be writing more original things soon, but simply feel this will give me a good way to get back into the habit of writing. I will be starting with whatever one-shots invite me to revisit them, working my way up to The Long Road Home. Any of my stories that are marked as abandoned are free game to anyone who wants them, you are welcome to take the words, ideas or exact text, just let me know so I can see what you do with them. Reviews are my happiness. I need them to be a better writer and they are very appreciated. Flamers will be deleted as being useless, but truly constructive reviews mean growth, and have lead to the betterment of many of my stories. All of my works are complete (to the best of my knowledge at this time; subject to change as the muse strikes), with the exception of... The Long Road Home: While taking forever to work on, I have never abandoned it, and have in fact written out the next chapter several times, only to lose the work before I could type it into my computer, or polish it up to post. It's discouraged me, but I have not given it up. Ideas are in my head, and once I can get my head back into that universe, there will be more. My Life in the Real World In the real world, I am a 22 year old as of Nov.21st, and work in a local chain store as a cake decorator. It is a creative outlet that I truly enjoy. I have also been married for two years, to a mostly wonderful husband. I have a dog I love named Lucy, who is the closest thing to a cat that a dog can get, and am an avid reader of just about anything. I am very involved in my church and work as a youth leader with the high schoolers, as well as sing in the choir, and help out wherever needed. I find I am happiest when I am serving others. I attend school part time online, and eventually plan to get a degree in Religion. I am not sure what degree level I will get to, that all depends on where He wants me to be. I just go where he tells me. On a sadder note, I also have two grandparents that are very sick. My grandfather has been fighting lung cancer for over three years now, and is to the point where he is refusing treatment. We do not know how long he has left, it all depends on how quickly the cancer that is within him grows. It could be years, it could only be days, it just depends on how long God wants him to remain on this Earth. My grandmother (his wife) is also quite sick... she has multiple issues throughout her body, from growths in her back bone that make it painful to move, to a thyroid that is not working effectively, to a heart that haws acted up and required surgery several times in the past. Just recently, the doctors have decided to test her bone marrow; they think she may have leukemia. Along with this, they both have standard getting old health and stamina problems(they are both in their mid to upper 70's). I may not always get along with them, but I am the only family they have left. Their only son was my father, and he died when I was 7. I am an only child, and my mother has maintained minimal contact with them through the years. With this in mind, I will only say that I intend to write and continue writing as much as I can, I simply cannot say how much or how long that will be. I ask only for patience; and that if you are one of those people who needs a story completed to only read those stories which are marked complete, to save us both anxiety over the stories being finished.
