About the Author (ME!):

Let's see here...I'm a USA military brat...that's about the best way to sum me up. My family has been in the Air Force for generations and my brother was a Marine (who married an Airman, female Airman for those of you who tend to get lost on the "man" part of that title). I've lived in (counts) seven? states and nine houses. So I grew up as one of those flag-waving individuals who hold the 4th of July just behind Easter and Christmas on their list of favorite holidays. Unfortunatly, my father retired a good long while back...so I'm planing to join up the instant I can do so with a commission. As you can tell, I'm a big fan of both my country and my family.

As for interests...well, I've got a lot of them. As you can tell, I love LOTR, reading, and writing, but that's only a couple things. I've also recently developed a very strong sweet tooth for Supernatural... and as for the hundred-dollar question... yes, I'm a Dean fan (although he could seriously stand to straiten up a bit). I'm looking at getting my bachelor's degree in History as I'm completely facinated by the subject (in particular, Military History, to include Midieval and WWII). I'm also trying to get into Marine OCS (Officer Candidate Selection)... it's a royal pain in the rear though. I'm sooooo not looking forward to my PFT. Currently I'm in Crew, or Women's Novice Rowing... whatever you want to call it... and unfortunately I'm the slowest person on the team (for the record, I HATE the NCAA). I was a red belt in Tae-kwon-do, and one of the few girls at my Do Jung who enjoys sparring (evil laugh). I enjoy art, particularly charcole and graphite sketching, but I've also been known to get the watercolors out occasionally. Movies and music fill up the lonely times...and even the not-so-lonely times...heck, music is almost always playing around me (Christian, Country, Celtic, Soundtracks, Oldies or (some) Classic Rock, I LOVE Carry on by Kansas). Incase you're wondering You Move Me by Garth Brooks is currently playing. ANYWAY... Also, while I'm not sure how much of an 'interest' this is, I'm big on honor, courage, all that good stuff that seems to have gotten associated with Fairy Tales.

Last, but definatly not least, I'm a non-denominational Christian. Though I hold no allegiance to any particular denomination, I am very loyal to my faith. I'll also be the first to admit that I'm absolutly nowhere NEAR perfect...but I'm pretty happy with being a work in progress.

So, to sum it all up. I'm for God, Country, and Family.

Oh! I almost forgot...I also like to talk...so if you're interested in talking to me about anything. Feel free to send a PM, I promise I won't bite :D

Favorite Parts of LOTR:

"...but I'm afraid my only answer to you, Sam Gamgee, is this. If I had killed the real Strider, I could kill you. And I should have killed you already without so much talk. If I wanted the Ring, I could have it - now!' He stood up, and seemed suddenly to grow taller. I n his eyes gleamed a light, keen and commanding. Throwing back his cloak, he laid his hand on the hilt of a sword that had hung concelaled by his side. They did not dare to move. Sam sat wide-mouthed staring at him doubly. 'But I am the real Strider, fortunately,' he said, looking down at them with his face softened by a sudden smile. 'I am Aragorn son of Arathorn; and if by life or death I can save you, I will.'" Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring (book)

"Put aside the ranger, become who you were born to be." Lord of the Rings, Return of the King (movie)

"You are a daughter of kings, a Shield Maiden of Rohan. I do not think that will be your fate." Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers (movie)

Quotes:

"He is not a tame lion." Chronicles of Narnia

"They're in front of us, they're behind us, they're on either side, they can't get away from us now!" "Chesty" Puller, USMC

"What's T.I.A?" "Dis is Efrica." Blood Diamond

"All that evil needs to prevail is for good men to do nothing." Edmond Burke

"I have not yet begun to fight!" John Paul Jones

The End:

This is exactly what it says...boy I'm strange sometimes! Anyway...

God Bless!
