My name's Helen.

I'm originally from Bournemouth, it's a seaside town on the south coast of England, which is under an almost constant cover of cloud (Gotta love British weather :D), but at the moment I'm studying at Cardiff Uni. I love reading and writing, and I especially love reading PotC fanfics, well-written ones that is, obviously :D.

Books: Well, this could be a really long list so I'll try and keep it short. I love Neil Gaiman, and Celia Rees. I also really enjoy reading older books, Oscar Wilde is such a joy to read :). Lord of the Rings is ace, and I love me a bit of Robert Louis Stevenson. Oh, and My Booky Wook is amazing.

Movies: Again, could be a really long list, I do love watching films. I guess as a general rule I prefer movies which have real characters in. I like it in films when they have those small scenes that are kinda pointless but just make the characters seem like real people, I love that :). Tim Burton is an absolute genius, I think Big Fish is one of my favourite movies. Anything involving Johnny Depp is probably a safe bet with me as well. I have to mention Pirates of the Caribbean, it is awesome, particularly Captain Jack .

Music: Right, my music taste makes no sense at all, it kinda ranges from stuff like Flo Rida and Dizzee Rascal to AC/DC and The Clash. Basically, I like pretty much everything. Although I do especially love Green Day, they were the first band I fell in love with, and I don't think anyone could match them live, it's amazing that they can make you feel like you're the only one in the room, when said room is filled with like 15,000 people!
