Author has written 6 stories for Bleach, and Ouran High School Host Club. Howdy, y'all! I'm 7PhoenixAshes, a twenty-year-old college student from Texas. I'm also a dedicated anime fan and an occasional rabid yaoi fangirl. Though I've been reading fanfiction since forever, I'm rather new to writing it, so any constructive criticism will be much appreciated! Favorite Anime (believe me, I've seen waaay more than this) Bleach--Swordfights and bishie eye candy...mmm... Cardcaptor Sakura--It's fluffy, it's cute, and it brings out my inner eight-year-old. I'm in heaven. A very pink and sparkly heaven. Code Geass--Super- special- awesome mecha battles! Lulu FTW! Suzaku FTW! Whoa...the ending to the second season was...perfect. Darker Than Black--How anime does X-men: dark, bloody, and awesome. Best animation in a TV series I've ever seen. And Hei is the most f-ing adorable/badass assassin ever! Death Note: Like the manga, but with less Mello and Near (thank god). And amazing lighting effects. And Miyano Mamoru as Light. Yes, I watched the sub. Fruits Basket--Humor! Fluff! Bishies! Love triangles! Cute talking animals! Family curses! Who could ask for more in a shojuo anime? Fullmetal Alchemist--Is just awesome. 'Nuff said. Gungrave--Despite being about zombies and the mafia, this series contains some of the best and most heartrending drama ever. Seriously. Junjou Romantica--Hands down, the best-written yaoi anime I've ever watched. There's drama, but no super-contrived, artificial melodrama. Yay. Kyou Kara Maoh--Ok, I admit, I watch it for the bishies. Conrad is teh shiz. ZOMG, season three has a plot! Loveless--Pedophilia? Huh? Wuzzat? Who cares, Rutsuka's cute, Soubi's hot, and it's shonen-ai. :) The Melencholy of Haruhi Suzumiya--Aliens! Time-travellers! Espers! Schoolgirls with the power to alter reality! And the best narrator ever! Lots of LOLs in this one. Mononoke--Possesses some of the most stylized and beautiful animation I've ever seen. In contrast, the storyline is dark, creepy, and wonderfully poetic. Naruto Shippuden--Soooo much better than the original Naruto anime. Sakura finally kicks ass! Ouran High School Host Club--AKA Pure Cotton Candy Shoujo Fluff on Caffeine. Is also a yaoi parody. Which makes it even funnier. The Vision of Escaflowne--Mecha fights, love triangles, swordfights, bishies, magic...the perfect fusion of shoujo and shonen anime. Trigun--Morality and love conquer all. Sweet fights, real drama. Vampire Knight--Like Twilight, but with actual scary vampires that can eat you. Rawr. Favorite Manga Axis-Powers Hetalia--Anthropomorphized countries, acting out history. The premise alone is worthy of laughter. Add in the steroptypes, the slapstick, and the boys' love, and you get comedic perfection. Bleach--Pure bleach, no filler additives. Kurosaki is my king. Death Note--A perfect supernatual/ psychological/ detective/ suspense thriller. DN Angel--So much better than the anime. Actually has a real plot. And drop dead gorgeous artwork in the later volumes. Fake--90s-era yaoi. Like "Yellow" (which is one of my favorites, too) but more oldschool and less fanservice-y. Fruits Basket--Because it is darker than its fluffy anime counterpart. And has a real ending. Fullmetal Alchemist--If you thought the anime was deep, than you haven't read the manga. Hiromu Arawakawa is a master of storytelling. The board is set, pieces are moving. Let the Amestris Civil War begin. Full Moon wo Sagashite--It's cute, and it's about death. And singing. And love. But mostly death. Very cute death. Loveless--Winner of the screwed-up-characters award. Very depressing, but utterly beautiful. Naruto--I read it for Sasuke. I began as a Sasuke fangirl. I have stayed a Sasuke fangirl. I remain, forever, a Sasuke fangirl. Fear me. Trigun Maximum--If you can actually figure out what's happening in each panel, the fights are insanely kickass and dramatic. Yami no Matsuei (aka Descendants of Darkness)--Blood! Bishies! Yaoi! Angst! Humor! Gorgeous artwork! Hooray! Story information: "Awakenings" --Bleach-- HitsuHina Update: November18, 2009 Fic is now two years old! And it's been almost a year and a half since I've updated. Maybe after my exams are done... Why am I bothering to update my status anymore? Update: October 8, 2009 Unfortunately, no progress has been made since my last update. I want to write, but I just don't have the time... :( Update: August 25, 2009 Ugh...I tried to get the chapter done before I had to go back to college, but computer difficulties prevented me from doing so. 7,300 words. 66 percent done. Update: July 8, 2009 Finished sewing my cosplay outfit (Holy Roman Empire from Hetalia), and am back to writing my story. 6,000 words and still going strong. 50 percent done? Update: June 5, 2009 Chugging along...4,300 words now...finished a major transition...re-entering dialogue, which is easier to write... 37 percent done? Update: April 28, 2009 Sorry for still not updating this story. I've been totally swamped at school and work, and on top of that, I've managed to injure BOTH of my wrists. Luckily, school ends for me in just a few weeks, so I probably will have more time to write. Current word count: 3,850 Percentage done: 35 percent. Update: December 1, 2008 I haven't forgotten this story yet, folks! As soon as I'm done with my final exams on the 16th, I should be able to write this chapter in earnest. I'm up to three-thousand words, now! Update: October 15, 2008 Um...I haven't been writing. I'm sure you've noticed by now...but at least I'm thinking about it... I've written about two thousand words now, and just hit plot point numero uno. And I have so many more to write... Update: September 2, 2008 Well, now that I'm (mostly) done with my summer job and have returned from vacation, I can start writing again! Expect a long chapter; I'm a thousand words in and haven't reached any of my planned plot points, yet. Update: July 19, 2008 The monstrosity known as Chapter 6 has been uploaded. The next chapter will come out in a month or two--I have to go on vacation and move back to college, so I won't have much time to write. The next chapter is kinda important, since it determines the romantic direction that the story will take! "Awakenings" illustrations! Phear their sketchiness! | |||||||
