WELCOME TO MY 'VERSE:
My preferred TMNT universe is set on/around the events of the CGI film, and pulls backstory from a hodge-podge comprised of the recent CGI film, the newer cartoon series produced in 2003, the original comics, and the live action movies to some extent. Mostly the first movie, but I guess Secret of the Ooze wasn't TOO terrible... Still loathe Bebop and Rocksteady with a lukewarm passion. TMNT III is right out the window for being just... bad. Not quite Next Mutation claw your eyes out bad, mind you. But still pretty bad.

I do NOT write fics for or acknowledge any events from Old Toon, Archieverse, Imageverse, or 4th volume Mirageverse (though I might go ahead and be the umpteenth person to put Raph's eye out, just for the heck of it someday. Ha!). I have had some plot ideas for fics that would be set in the 'Fast Forward' cartoon's setting, but have not yet gone there.

MY PREFERED GENRE... 'DRAMEDY!':
I write almost exclusively in the Humour/Drama catagory... which I like to call 'Dramedy'. If there was a 'character study' catagory (and there really should be) I'd probably choose that in place of Drama a lot of the time, but instead I just lump that stuff into the 'drama' part of 'dramedy'. I love to keep the tone a bit like a roller-coaster, rocketing between touching/deep moments and madcap hilarity.

The trick, of course, is pulling off these shifts smoothly, in a way that isn't too jarring for readers. I do enjoy that challenge for some reason. But if the change of emotional tone is ever too abrupt for you in one of my stories, please do let me know because I absolutely want to hear about it.

ABOUT MY GRAVITATION TOWARDS 'M FOR MATURE' RATING:
In SPITE of my 'M-rating' on most of my stories... NONE OF MY STORIES ON FFNET ARE 'SMUT' OR PORNOGRAPHIC IN NATURE OR INTENT! Assuming you are allowed to read the "f-word" at work, or... let's say... a story where the guys are DISCUSSING mature topics (sex, masturbation, etc) amongst each other, then you can assume that all the stories here are in fact 'work safe'.

The three main reasons I tend to stick to a mature rating is because...

1) I have Raph (and all the other TMNT except Leo, to a lesser extent) make regular use the 'f-word' and other colorful words that would get bleeped off prime time

2) I have a very strong preference for darker, racier, emotionally complex TMNT plots. I tend towards TMNT that is written FOR adults, BY adults. Or, you know... strikingly-mature-for-their-age teenagers, I guess. Let's go with 'adult mentality' so I don't sound completely age-ist here, heh.

3) I'd rather not get on a roll with something and suddenly have to stop, thinking "am I going overboard here? Am I gonna have to hitch up my rating with this part?" That's just stupid. The story goes where it goes, period. Sometimes life gets ugly and inappropriate, and sometimes it's romancey or so fluffy that you can almost hear the 'Full House heart-to-heart moment' music swelling in the background.
