Author has written 24 stories for Harry Potter, Shakespeare, Star Wars, Miles Vorkosigan, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Chronicles of Narnia, Discworld, Naruto, Artemis Fowl, and Death Note.

Hello, I'm Owl. Nice to...um...have you reading my profile, anyway.

I'm from Quebec. To anyone who doesn't speak French, that means yes, I speak French. To anyone who really speaks French, no, I don't speak French. This contradiction is because while I can communicate fine and get along fine, not to mention understand most things, my grammar is terrible. My vocabulary is also not huge, but really, it's the grammar. Especially if you want me to remember if a noun is masculine or feminine...I love that English only has one gender for nouns, with a few exceptions.

I'm good with slash. I'm bad with incest. Unfortunately, this means that I hate most of the Narnia fanfiction, on this site at least... which is a shame, 'cause I love the Chronicles of Narnia.

If you look at my favourites, you can tell I'm no canon fanatic. But I don't insist that what I like to read is canon, and I hate it when people do (unless it actually is canon. But an example of this is Harry/Hermione--I don't have a problem with the ship, and people can write and read it as much as they want, but I do have a problem with those who insist the pairing is canon, because, you know, it isn't.)

Though...all right, one exception. I don't like Caspian/Any Pevensie fic. I mean, maybe I should be used to it...but, I don't know, I find it irritating. I guess I am actually a bit of a canon fanatic when it comes to Narnia. It's just, hello? Caspian is married. And in love. With his wife.

There is one Caspian/Susan fic I read which circumvents these problems. I like it, because it's a great piece of work. Also, it's by whydoyouneedtoknow, who is an astonishingly brilliant author.

I realize that due to the fact that some of my favourite pairings are about as canonical as Nearly-Headless Nick/Giant Squid, I should really shut up. Still, at least I'm aware of my hypocrisy.

I tend to care about loyalty, too. So...fics with Xander abandoning/being abandoned by the Scoobies? Or Willow, or Buffy, or fill-in-the-blank? Yes, there have been wrongs done...by everyone. But, and this is important, every one of them would still die for any other one of them.

I also don't generally like fics where Naruto abandons Konoha--or at least not ones where everything is canon up until something pretty late in the story, and then he just decides to abandon the village he's been willing to lay down his life for, despite the fact that most people in it treated him like shit. Seriously, I don't think there's much you could to to tear Naruto away from Konoha.

By the way--I also love reading. I love to write. I love to bake. I love to sing. I also love to play Go, but I'm pretty terrible at it.

I have near-perfect grammar and spelling as far as English goes, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any spelling/grammar errors in my stories. There are. They're typos. I do re-read, but I often miss things, because I just wrote what I'm re-reading, and know what I expect to find. When I write by hand, I make far fewer mistakes. Actually, I pretty much make none.

Oh, just so everyone knows: for some bizarre reason, it's is only used as a contraction of it and is. The possessive its is spelled sans apostrophe. I'm not really sure why...

My pairings? Lots of things, I guess. Maybe I'll put some stuff in here later.

My favourite Gryffindor!Harry story is that of whydoyouneedtoknows Dangerverse series, which begins with Living With Danger. Whydoyouneedtoknow can be found on my favourite authors.

My favourite Slytherin!Harry is Lightning on the Waves Connors Sacrifice series, which is...amazing. Only read it if youre prepared to dedicate a lot of time to it, but I assure you its worth it. Lightning on the Wave can also be found in my Favourite Authors.

Mistress Nikas Curse of Fate desrves an honourable mention, because if Connors Sacrifice didnt exist, this would be my favourite. This story can be found in my favourites.

As for books? Well, it's pretty obvious that I love Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia. I also love Lord of the Rings, which is a piece of genius. Anything by Pratchett is good, though I think he's gotten better as time goes on--this is, by the way, like saying chocolate has gotten tastier as time goes on. Chocolate was always tasty, it's just that now it's tastier. Tamora Pierce is pretty good; so's Gerald Morris, though if you've heard of him I'll be surprised. I love the Dreden Files and the Codex of Alera series, and I'm sure I'd love anything else Jim Butcher has written too. I'm a David Weber fan, and I've read quite a few of his books--though only the first two in the Harrington series, as I've come by him fairly recently. Mercedes Lackey is also great--no, amazing. Robin McKinley's also good, though I think that The Blue Sword and Spindle's End are her best. There are more, but I read so much it would take me a good long while to think write them down, never mind calling them to mind.

One author stands out in my mind, though: Lois McMaster Bujold--mainly her Vorkosigan Saga, and especially the most important character, Miles, who has to be read to be believed. He's...beyond any other character I've ever read. As I said in one disclaimer: There are things where it's possible, if barely, that I might have created. Then there are things that I wouldn't have a hope in hell of creating. Miles Vorkosigan falls into the latter category.

By the way--if you like fantasy and/or science fiction, check out baen.com. They've got a free library from which you can download some--though by no means all--of the books they've published. All the books were volunteered by their authors. There's a longer introduction there that's quite interesting, but that's the long and short of it.

As for TV--well, I don't watch much. Ive watched all of BtvS, but Ive taken a break from Angel (though I still read the fanfiction. Not so much on this site, but there's a great site called Twisting the Hellmouth--it can be found at www.tthfanfic.org--that's a Buffy Crossover site, very well organized). In fact, pretty much the only TV I watch these days is Stargate. Ive finished Atlantis and am now watching SG1. Revers order, I know, but its the order I found them in.

I'm pretty liberal. I'm also Canadian, which means Im used to health care and honestly don't understand how Americans get along without it. The area in which I live also means that I support gay marriage--luckily, it's legal in Canada.

By the way--if you hate Mary Sues and are even remotely familiar with Lord of the Rings, check out OFUM (the Official Fanfiction University of Middle-Earth) by Camilla Sandman--who can also be found on fanfiction.net, just as OFUM will shortly be found on my favourites list.

My main story is March to the Empire, a Harry Potter/Empire of Man/Star Wars crossover that is much better than it both sounds and then the summary makes it look like (if I had room enough for a better summary, I'd put it there). The main character is Harry Potter, though the Prologue focuses on James. It's set in the Empire of Man universe, several years after We Few. There won't be many Star Wars characters; for those of you who have read the Jedi Harris series by the Dark Scribbler, it's kind of similar in that though there will be some Star Wars action, there will be almost no one from the actual Star Warsverse. However, Star Wars isn't the main crossover; it's pretty limited, actually, and will be AU for Star Wars not from the original trilogy, possibly in numbers one, two and three--though not in anything important--and almost certainly from EU. There's also a mini--very mini--reference to Miles Vorkosigan, though it's not going to cross over with that, too.

My second-most important story is Butterfly's Wings, a Miles Vorkosigan fic. It's inspired by several fics in other fandoms that use the same basic idea, though I've yet to see another one of the same style in Vorkosiganverse. Isn't it nice to do something new?

It's about Miles Vorkosigan, obviously. One day, he wakes up...and is utterly bewildered by what he finds. Why is he so young? What's he doing on a station? Why, for god's sake, does he have a cadet uniform in his closet? If he's been kidnapped, why aren't there any guards? Oh, yeah. Why isn't he crippled?

It hasn't been updated in a while, but I'm working on it.

My thirdmost important story is actually a Naruto fic. It's called It's All Relative, and it's one of those Naruto and Co. (in this case, the Konoha Twelve + the Sand Siblings) travel back in time to save the world from Orochimaru/the Akatsuki (Orochimaru, in this one). Pretty generic, though they can be quite interesting...but this one's different. How? It's very simple.

It's told from Kakashi's point of view. Kakashi, who's wondering about the sudden, marvelous teamwork his team seems to be displaying, the lack of avengerhood (on Sasuke's part), fangirlyness (on Sakura's part) and aggressive challenge of Sasuke (on Naruto's part). Oh, and he wants to know how on Earth three genin, no matter how good they are, could have beaten him.

My fourth-most important, and last of my ongoing stories, is called Cade Maboroshi: The Artemis Fowl Files. Cade Maboroshi is an OC psychologist, but I didn't create him: Ellen Brand (who can be found on this site) did, and generously agreed to lend him to me for the purposes of creating this fic. It's set pre-The Lost Colony, and if I can pull it off, I think it will be interesting.

Cade Maboroshi is the main character, and he'll be having encounters with the Artemis Fowl characters, both on and not on a professional basis. This was, as I've said, greatly inspire by Ellen Brand's Cade Maboroshi fics, especially Outside looking in, which is a Danny Phantom fanfic and got me reading Danny Phantom. If you like the prologue of Cade Maboroshi, and know anything at all about Danny Phantom, I reccomend you read it, as it's an amaing fic that I discovered about a month ago and have re-read three or four times so far.

Ignore The Secret Avatars. Really. It sucks, is abandoned, and will never be updated. Pretend it doesn't exist

I don't have any more ongoing stories, though I have an idea for a huge Miles Vorkosigan fic (as huge as March to the Empire is supposed to be, eventually, and that one's--hopefully--going to be an epic) that will, of course, be massively AU--though not, I think, a crossover. I also have a much vaguer idea for a Miles Vorkosigan/Artemis Fowl/Harry Potter crossover, and if you know all three of these characters the idea should make your head spin.

There are a bunch of short stories, too, mostly one-shots. Brothers Apart, Multi-Coloured Bravery and It's a Rock-em Sock-em World aren't that good, though they're not that bad, either. A Debt Owed is considerably better than them, though not, I think, as good as my others, except maybe Never Yours. I think my favourite is...well, okay, I don't have a favourite. But I promis you, there isn't anything graphic in any of my stories. I have one fic rated M, but that's because it's really, really twisted, not because of any graphic violence or sex. In fact, though the entire story could be construed as slash, and is really meant to be, it could also be construed as not-slash.

If anyone's interested, I've got some original fiction on fictionpress.com under the same username, ranging from humorous to tragic (mostly tragic), though nothing quite as goofy as The DendariPie Mercenaries (if you've read Miles Vorkosigan, and are in a mood to laugh hysterically, read this).

I love chocolate. I almost never eat red meat. I love Chinese food and souvlaki. I adore baking, though cooking isn't my favourite thing (again: Canadian. This is not a misspelling). Reading is my favourite thing in the world, though writing comes soon after.

I'm fine with slash, but I hate incest. Unfortunately, this means that I hate most of the Narnia fanfiction, on this site at least... which is a shame, 'cause I love the Chronicles of Narnia.

I'm by no means a canon fanatic, and read AUs left and right, but in general I really, really care about characterization. Harry Potter is the only series where I pretty much ignore this, but otherwise it means that I don't read stories where Xander abandons the Scoobies, where Harry Dresden and Thomas are together, or where Naruto abandons Konoha. Mostly, anyways, although there are a few exceptions in the latter case (never in the first two. Drifting apart from the Scoobies? Okay. Deserting them? Not a chance. And as for Harry/Thomas...can I just say ugh? No offence if you like it, but it's not my sort of thing).

This also means that quite often I find myself disliking Narnia non-incest romance fics, merely because any one of the four siblings is paired with Caspian. This always annoys me, no doubt due to the fact that Caspian is married. And in love. With his wife. And not interested in the Pevensies that way at all.

There is one--count 'em, one--Susan/Caspian fic that I like, but that's because it doesn't contradict the abovementioned facts (except the one about the Pevensies, but that's okay). Also, it's by whydoyouneedtoknow, who is a better author than I could ever be. It's called And Ye Shall Receive and can be found either at her website, at http://whydoyouneedtoknow.fanficauthors.net/Miscellaneous.php#Narnia, or at her fanfiction.net page. I'm pretty sure you don't need me to provide you with that adress here, especially considering she's one of my favourite authors (and hence on my Favourite Authors list).

I like good grammar, though I can't promise that all of my favourite stories will possess it. I'm pretty good at not making too many mistakes myself, but--obviously--I'm not perfect. If you spot any mistakes, please, please let me know, and I'll do my best to fix it (them). I do go over my stories now and then, doing my best to fix my mistakes, but that's by no means infallible.

By the way--you're is a contradiction of "you" and "are". This is all that it should be used for, but when the situation calls for it it should be used. Everything else is "your".

"It's" is a contradiction of "it" and "is"--and that's all it is. For some reason (don't ask me, I didn't invent the English language), "it's" is not used as possessive. So, basically: It's all right. Its screen is yellow.

I shouldn't have to go over "their, there and they're", but I will anyway, because I've seen way too many mistakes on that front. "Their" means it belongs to them (as in, "Their dog is a golden retreiver). "They're" is pretty much the same as "you're"--a contradiction of "they" and of "are" (as in, "They're golden retreivers). Finally, "there" is a location, just like "here" (as in, "The golder retreivers are over there).

I don't have a favourite dog, but yes, I am fond of golden retreivers. How did you guess?

My favourite Harry Potter with Slytherin!Harry is the Connor's Sacrifice series, by Lightning on the Waves (can be found on fanfiction.net, and I'm about to put him on my favourite's list, as I just realized that I hadn't). My favourite Gryffindor!Harry is...well, pretty much anything by whydoyouneedtoknow, but specifically the Dangerverse series (begins with Living with Danger. If you haven't read them yet, you should).

I also love Mistress Nika's Curse of Fate, which can--you guessed it!--be found on my favourites (stories, not authors) list. It would be my favourite Slytherin!Harry, were it not for the Connor's Sacrifice series.

I don't really watch movies, as I spend most of my time either reading, writing or imagining stories, most of which are fanfiction.
