Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.

What? I have to introduce myself? Very well, let's see. I'm a 40 something single mom, church musician, computer programmer. I got my first taste of fan fiction as a kid from Star Trek, the New Voyages and the Pocket Books paperbacks of what's now called TOS. I discovered internet fanfic after getting hooked on library DVDs of Buffy and wondering what had happened after the seasons my local library had at the time, and I branched out into Harry Potter fic during the heady days of the Potterdammerung. I got inspired by Buffy fanfic to try my hand at writing again after nearly 20 years, then moved on to HP fic. Complex, morally ambiguous characters like Snape, and Giles and Ethan in the Buffyverse, are what draw me to write.

Everything I post has been completed except for my experimental WIP "In Loco Parentis." I'm finding it instructive in so many ways, and I much appreciate all the thoughtful comments and concrit I've received for it.

For anyone who cares, the chronological list of my fanfic runs thus:

Summer (BtVS) - first fanfic

Shadows and Echoes (fragment abandoned early on writing "Summer.")

Through a Glass Darkly (BtVS) - first ficathon entry

A Father's Love: Nano 06 Novel (BtVS, recently began posting for 08 Summer of Giles - still in beta/ revision and needs an ending)

Graveside - A ficlet for the 2007 Summer of Giles. I just remembered it and decided to post it here.

Two Dads (HP) - First HP fic, written halfway through drafting Lost Boys, as working out backstory.

Lost Boys (HP) - Probably the best fic I've written, ever. I'm really proud of how this turned out. See the postmortem of this on on my journal for more discussion of what I learned writing this one.

In Loco Parentis (HP, WIP)

Is that boring enough? Oh, I want to be a writer when I grow up, I think. Except for the growing up part. And I am proud beyond the telling of it that my Wee Hobgoblinn is quite a storyteller in his own right.

And: this just in: "Lost Boys" just won some awards at live journal's tnl_awards (the new library).

Best Gen Diffindo (Angst) and Judge's Choice
Runner up Gen Episky (Hurt/ Comfort) and Judge's Choice
Best Sepentsortia (Original Character) for David Dursley

Thanks to everyone, there and here, who voted or judged and who left reviews. I'll put up a link on my journal, and I highly recommend checking out all the nominees for this-- there's some really outstanding new HP fic represented.
