I came up with another crazy story: NEFERKAPTAH & THE BOOK OF THOTH. Genre: Action/Adventure/Suspense - ALTERNATE UNIVERSE. You can read my version of the "Book of Thoth" myth in the story promo :) Outline: When Egyptologist Sonny Monroe discovers the lost Scripture of Thoth, she is unaware chaos is about the unravel. She is also unaware that Chad Dylan Cooper, a successful sneaky reporter, had followed her. An epic power struggle breaks out out when a naive Chad decides to run the story of the Book of Thoth, only thinking of the incredibly fat pay rise he'd get for this. The Americans retaliate, determined to get their hands on the Book of Thoth first...for good reasons. The biggest terrorist group in the world, assumed dormant for several years, have awoke with a desire. They want the Book of Thoth and the power it holds. Sent unwillingly into the battlefield, Sonny Monroe is accompanied by government-hired specialists to help her find the Book of Thoth in a race against newfound enemies, with the help of newfound aquaintainces...and newfound annoying, obnoxious, egotistical, moronic, self-centred, iritating, superficial, unprofressional, deceptive jerks. It was alright, until he blackmailed his way into the picture. She knew full well that Chad Dylan Cooper was exactly the kind of person the government specifically didn't want to get involved in this...but since when had anything ever gone according to plan? A/N: I had just started getting this story going but have lost all work for it. Therefore, it is going to take some time to re-plan and write! Chad Dylan Cooper, standing at the edge of a cliff, in torrential rain, yelling at a God he didn't even believe in. He had never been a man of faith, and he never would be. But this was his last chance. Second chances were hard to come by- and he was hoping for a miracle. Funny how sometimes beliving in God for once moment in time could be the most convinient thing in the world, because it took the blame off your own shoulders. It gave you someone else to blame. It gave you hope that someone bigger could fix everything for you. Gritting his teeth, he gazed up into the sky. "What do you want me to do?" Pause. "What do you want me to do?!"
