I've been fascinated with vampires for as long as I can remember. Even at a very young age, there was just something about them that drew me. Unfortunately (for me), I can't stand horror movies. And every vampire movie or book, it seemed, was horror. The vampire was always portrayed as evil, demonic, soul-less, etc. And yet, I was still drawn to these mythological creatures.

In spite of the fact that horror movies or books would give me weeks of nightmares, I would read or watch one if it seemed that the vampires might be portrayed a little more compassionately. I read Stephen King's Salem's Lot, watched Interview with a Vampire, Vampire in Brooklyn, and others, but I was always left unhappy with either the portrayal of vampires or the ending. At the time, I couldn't have explained what I was looking for in a vampire story. I just knew that I wished I could find something more along the lines of Love At First Bite :)

In the early 90's, I discovered this new show that came on late at night. It caught my eye because it was about vampires. I stayed up until midnight a couple of times to watch it and really liked it. But real life kept me from being able to watch it regularly. Eventually I (mostly) forgot about the show.

Several years ago, I rediscovered the show when Sci-Fi was airing it. That's when my inner fangirl made herself known :) I became an avid fan of Forever Knight and quickly discovered the its online fan community, along with this wonderful thing called fanfiction. Eventually, I tried my hand at writing fanfic, and actually posted a handful on my website.

It was about the same time that I also discovered another wonderful thing - paranormal romance. Stories where the vampire (or werewolf, or some other supernatural/mythological being) was actually the good guy! The hero! And he got the girl in the end!! And the girl often was turned into a vampire so that they could live happily ever after, forever!!

In the years since then, I have amassed a collection of over 300 paranormal romance books, and it is still growing. I support shows like Blood Ties and Moonlight, and I'm still a fan of Forever Knight. Unfortunately, my website is no more, so I decided to post my handful of Forever Knight stories here. I can't say whether I will ever write any more fanfic. I have a dozen or so unfinished FK stories, and I have ideas for stories for Blood Ties and Moonlight, as well as for several of the anime series that I love. But real life is so busy these days, I simply don't have time to write. Hopefully, one day, I will have time to write again, because I really do want to write more.
